All over the world, the mining industry threatens to destroy nature and culture with shortsighted industrial projects aimed only at maximizing company profits.
In an attempt to gain local and international backing for their projects, and to appease investors, mining companies claim that no local people are adversely affected by the industry's insatiable hunger for metal.
Here are local people. We are the local people!
La industria minera amenaza la naturaleza y las culturas en muchas partes del mundo, con proyectos industriales a corto plazo que sólo son rentables para la misma companía minera.
Para que el proyecto se acepte y para apaciguar a los invertores, pretenden de que no hay una población local que se moleste por la actividad minera.

Partout dans le monde, l'industrie minière menace de détruire la nature et la culture avec des projets industriels à court terme visant uniquement à maximiser les bénéfices des sociétés.
Pour conclure un accord, obtenir l'acceptation de leur projet et pour apaiser les investisseurs, les entreprises affirment que la population locale ne sera pas affectée négativement par le développement incessante de l'industrie minière.
