Very well done! I loved this movie almost as much as I love Top Gun. As an adult, it's super cheesy but I still watch it when I get the chance.
Iron Eagle did look a lot older, both the visuals and the music, although both films were released in the same year. Top Gun also had a much higher "macho" content, but that was probably because it was about naval pilots and not about air force pilots.

Ohhh I forgot how good this movie was! Classic '80s chest-thumping, patriotic cinema that made you want to stand up and cheer. Great tribute, nice references to the movie.

@@switchblade800x3 It's possible he wasn't Muslim, or didn't strictly adhere to the rules of it. Islam has rules against murder as well just like Christianity, but that obviously didn't stop him.

That song has more cheese than the dairy section at Costco and I loved every second of it. As I understand it the Air Force wouldn’t let the production touch one of their F-16’s with a ten foot pole so they went to Israel. Even with all the 80’s cheesiness of the movie, and let’s face it that’s what makes it so good, I still love watching it once in a blue moon. Great video and flying! Very well done

Well played! Just like Flash Gordon, the Queen soundtrack transcended the movie's essential cheesiness. Love the antagonist Kfirs, are they a skin for the Mirage? Like the film-authentic Israeli desert camo with US markings, the details are the stuff of true love.

Hey, just a question. My elevators jitter in the exact same way as that beginning takeoff shot, in multiple aircraft, but they don't jitter any other time but on takeoff roll. Do you know what causes that?
I think it is a DCS processing issue. The load seems to be very high during takeoff.
@mandellorian I suspected that, but it really is a bit extreme. I haven't found an IRL takeoff where the movement of the elevators matches that seen in DCS.
DCS also does this for all aircraft for me, including ones that don't have advanced FBW/FCS systems.
I guess DCS doesn't have the 2 seater F-16B's.
There is a mod F-16I, but I didn't use it in this video because the shape is very different from the B.
