Soak methi with paper for sometime and then grind it will become smooth and will easily spread on the oiled vessel, dry it then remove.

Cardboard might be soft enough when wet to use in strips like paper mache, just an idea 💡.
Also might be able to use flowers or leaves to paint 🎨 design into bowls.
