I had a similar idea, only taking place in 2023. I think Patranger should be the Space Patrol, and Lupinranger should be the Delta Gang, or something like that. By the end of the series, they've merged into Space Patrol Delta.
That is the perfect name as both teams prefer to utilize they're own brand of justice the LupinRangers/Bandit Rangers being an antihero team and of the grey/chaotic good alignment have a somewhat more darker approach to justice meaning they're willing to do some actions that officially prohibited by the law in order to protect innocents and at times would see their somewhat friendly rivals as being at times naïve and essentially have a mindset of this world isn't black and white and if protecting innocents means taking on the monsters, and their allies with some of their tactics and methods then so be it , where as the Patorangers being essentially supercops have a more traditional senses of justice and prefer to protect innocents while still remaining to their code of conduct and have a good understanding of the LupinRangers/Bandit Rangers' reasons but don't always agree with their methods.
I think they shouldnt keep the teams seperate because personally I found the characters in lupat much better in pairs like kairi and keichiro so they should keep that and it wouldn't be right for stock footage as well and maybe do some more backstory on the collection so the collection pieces don't just look like references to previous teams and actually be connected in some way and after I feel like Hasbro could use super sentai strongest battle footage for anniversary episodes

While I really like many of your ideas, I feel like a big factor in Hasbro's decision to adapt LuPat into a Power Rangers season is the Lupinrangers themselves. They'd have to find a way to justify their being thieves. Yes, they could have them steal from the bad guys exclusively and I'm not saying it's not impossible to have thieves as protagonists (like the Sly Cooper series of video games), but Hasbro would have their work cut out for them in turning the Lupinrangers into Power Rangers. The Patrangers could easily be a another branch of S.P.D. or an early version depending on what year they would air the adaptation, but honestly, the Lupinrangers feel like a significant challenge Hasbro would have to overcome in my mind. Although honestly, if Hasbro does manage to find a way to adapt LuPat, then I really hope they do what they did with Beast Morphers and recreate the suits and/or make new suits so they can make original footage and have the power-ups and zords belong to their actual owners and change that stupid crane arm "power-up"!
How about change thief theme of Lupinranger to Time Force? because their hat design on helmet visor looks like Timeranger/Time Force arrow. Power Rangers GSPO vs Shadow Time Force Good Striker become ai controlled Shadow Chronozord (female) and Gigant Patrol Zord(male) with 2 personalities and gender.

With that in mind, I could definitely see the Lupinrangers as a black-ops branch of Time Force who were sent back in time to recover the Lupin Collection and preserve the timeline, only to encounter a group of rookie SPD officers (the Patrangers) who mistake the Lupinrangers for bad guys.

while I do not agree with the "make them all transformers", I agree that some of that tech would be needed for the zord parts. good-striker base aside, each and every "non head" veicle is absolute trash as a limb, with only the blimp somewhat defending itself. having the the limb capable of ACTUAL movement, and maybe have some "skateboard" capabilities so to not have the ranger always going around on oversized car and planes (immagine what they did with the DX candroid from KR OOO toyline)
Love to see a rider potential series. Either make Power Rider a thing or make them continuations set in the Dragon Knight universe. A lot of good either way.
I'd make the Jackpot Striker an actual zord, even if it is a movie exclusive (remember, the Phoenix Unizord, Blizzard Force Megazord, and the Gosei Jet were all movie exclusives too!)
I think for a reason for 2 teams would be simple. There's the light hero side that works with the law or as the law, similar to TIme force. They're the good rangers who beat up the monsters to save the people but they're constrained by the law and are reactive. The Lupinrangers could definitely be more akin to antiheroes who break the law to be proactive and use underhanded means to get the results needed in a sort of "ends justify the means" way. It's a simple idea but it has the possibility of working well.
@@thomasjujube yeah, and at the same time, both teams have ground rules and codes they love by that align in enough places to justify them working together being the most effective tactic rather than throwing hands while the true bad guy is getting away.
Power Rangers Phantom Thieves vs. Power Rangers Sigma Patrol SYNOPSIS: When an army of creatures know as the Gangler arrives from another dimension and seek to conquer our world by using the Lupin Collection, mystical artifacts which were collected by the legendary Arsene Lupin, as they misuse it to hurt innocents. But however, two different Ranger teams (The Phantom Thieves Rangers and the Sigma Patrol Rangers) arrives to battle them, but for different reasons: the Sigma Patrol Rangers, being part of Sigma Patrol, an sister faction of SPD where they deal with inter-dimensional criminals, want to make sure that the Lupin Collection would be safe away and aren't being misuse by anyone else and the Phantom Thieves Rangers seek to sure those artifacts to bring back their loved ones as the two teams are forced to fight each other while they stilling with the Gangler threat.
TL;DR. Here’s my two cents on these 4 seasons and their possibilities. Ressha Sentai ToQger is the only one of the four I can’t see ever becoming a Power Rangers season. I personally think the idea of Train-Rangers to be pretty campy and goofy (even by Power Rangers standards) and I just don’t see the show ever going that direction. But I will give ToQger points for the amazing villain designs! I love how they look monstrous, but they also look as elegant as they do threatening. Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger was a concept I didn’t care for at first, but is beginning to grow on me. I like when they play with the genders of the Blue and Yellow Rangers. Normally, the Blue Ranger is Male and the Yellow Ranger is Female, but this is one of the instances where those roles are flipped. If this becomes part of Power Rangers, it will be the first time we've seen this role reversal since Mystic Force (Mahou Sentai Magiranger). Admittedly, I don't care for the looks of Zyuoh Bird (I don't think Zyuoh Eagle's design works with this coloration), Zyuoh Condor (see my problem with Zyuoh Bird), or Zyuoh Gorilla (which looks a bit goofy to me). But again, the other designs are growing on me and I REALLY like the look of Zyuoh Whale! They probably won’t go the animal route right now since you could argue that they just did with Beast Morphers, but I could picture this being in Power Rangers universe someday. Uchu Sentai Kyuranger would really be a winning direction for the franchise to take. Not only has the theme of Space-Rangers not been done in years (with the two times it’s been done being some of the highest points in this show’s history), but there’s just a lot of style in this season! The mechs look amazing, the suits look amazing, the possibilities for this show are virtually endless, there's really nothing much I can say that you haven't already said. I really think this could be made into a great season of Power Rangers! Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger would also be a great direction for the franchise to take. Admittedly, it lacks a lot of the style as some of the other seasons (excluding the suits, which are pretty sweet), but what it lacks in it’s aesthetics, it more than makes up for in it’s theme. Cops and Robbers is a theme that I think would be great to see in Power Rangers for two reasons. First, it could help introduce some darker themes, such as morally-gray characters; and if Lost Galaxy, Time Force, and RPM have taught us anything, it’s that Power Rangers shouldn’t be afraid to dawn some darker colors from time to time. Second, rangers fighting other rangers has always been something Power Rangers fans have enjoyed seeing. The Psycho Rangers, The Thunder Rangers, SPD A-Squad, they were all fun to watch go against the main team. However, unlike previous seasons, where one team is either pure evil or being manipulated by the bad guys, both of these Ranger teams are good, but just fighting for different reasons. This is not only a unique way to go about things, but also a mature way; and this could help to teach younger fans that just because two groups are fighting with each other, it doesn’t always mean one is obviously right and one is obviously wrong. So I feel like this has the potential to be not only an entertaining season of Power Rangers, but also an important season of Power Rangers! So if I were to rank these seasons from the one I’d most like to see to the one I’d least like to see, I’d probably rank them in the reverse order you presented them. LuPat is my number one. Kyuranger is my number two. Zyuohger is my number three. And ToQger is my number four.
I love, LOVE lupat. Sadly it'll never get adapted into Power rangers. 1) Touma and Aya being “fiances”. Power rangers, for some reason, never wanna include stuff like this in their stories (engagement, marriage, romance etc.) 2) I love the concept of how the three of them had to steal the treasure, as if their life depended on it, because they lost their loved ones. This concept is awesome. Which is exactly why power rangers won't use it 🤦♂️ 3) I cannot imagine “Here's your warning! We're here to take your treasure!” being said in English without cringing.
I really like your idea of alternating episodes between the two, them meeting half way and then have separate finales. I'm sad tho cause I know it probably won't happen and I didn't know I wanted this until you pointed it out. Hopefully they adapt this season in some way cause I'm obviously a fan of it

If hasbro ever does adapt this i hope they make american exclusive rangers. I would like for there to be a lupin pink and lupin green ranger. And a pato yellow ranger and pato black ranger. To make the teams have 5 members and plus more rangers to have as figures
This series is PERFECT for Power Rangers, Cops and Robbers aesthetics work already with kids and adds to a game that kids already play. As far as story, they could take what they did with Overdrive, only make it better. Have the Lupinrangers be tasked with finding the collection, like in the sentai, and the Patorangers trying to stop them and recover the collection as well. X can be the decedent of Lupin himself and play both sides as he does in the sentai, but do it better so that the mystery lasts longer (ie not revealing who he is to either team right off the bat) of who X is and what side is he on and then ultimately being the unifying force that combines the team as they are both working towards the same goal. The hardest part in adapting it thou obliviously is the thieves and trying to make them look like the good guys while still being the bad guys. I would try and characterize the Lupinrangers more as anti-heroes than thieves as the whole thieving aesthetic is merely a means to an end to get what they want from the ganglars. X should be the only real trained thief of the series. This way you can add a bit more tension and even out the teams more as the Patorangers always kinda came off as more bumbling than heroic in the sentai. Have the Patorangers be skilled recruits be fresh out of the academy that know what they are doing, while you have the Lupinrangers as amateur thieves trying to get the collection back for whatever reason. The diiference being that the Lupinrangers have to rely on gadgets and escape being caught by the skin of their teeth rather than the bumbling of the Patorangers (that was something that bothered me in the sentai since these regular people just seem to become master thieves pretty much overnight). Hell, you can end the season with the Patorangers finally catching the Lupinrangers (or them turning themselves in) and the Patorangers letting them off since they were stealing from monsters and the technicality is that there are no rules saying you can't steal from monsters or something like that.

They should definitely not be split up, half of the possible charm is the fact that they have two teams facing off against eachother with different ideas of how to get things done, otherwise it would just be jarring when it cuts between them each week

I really want the thieves to be similar to Assassin's Creed. I think that would be incredibly unique. So rather than being entirely thieves, they could be assassin's but don't actually kill. And the officers could be Bounty Hunters. Assassin's vs Bounty Hunters
Here's my suggestion for the plot: The Power ranger Civil War. This is why two newbies are fighting. They're from different planets or dimensions as suggested, but their radical oppositions of ideals come from those different worlds, and the reasons they fight could be summed up thusly: Lupin are from a world that had to overthrow an evil Dictatorship and as such are practically anarchists, having a bedtime for any of them is considered an insult. Paton, however, are from a world or environment wherein They needed rigid order and discipline to overthrow something else entirely. That makes them massive sticklers for the littlest laws or rules. Both teams are contacted by the Hexagon or the like and meet up just as a new threat emerges that splits the Hexagon in two. These Ranger factions can best be described as "Freedom vs Security." whereas the bad guy has actually killed ranger teams before. (Less than subtle mounted helmets on the main villain's wall or something.) Hense all kinds of guest ranger/fan service potential. They occasionally put aside their differences to fight MOTW's but Lupin and Paton are on pretty self-explanatory, opposite sides of this conflict, even if a couple of them are friends from way back in the day, lovers, what have you.
i'm the only one that watch lupinranger vs patorangers and see a lot of reference of persona 5 (the lupinranger part and the sixth ranger) ? and i hope at least hasrbo for the thief part of the serie took references on persona 5

i would adapt Lupat with TQG as a combined season with three teams. it could also have potential to have the Lupat Mecha be cross compatible with the ToQGer mech, since they are very similar to each other.
I kept thinking about their names in Power Rangers form. The Lupinrangers would be Phantom Vigilantes and the Patorangers be the Sentinel Guardians given their VS. The story of the collection piece, I would make them into the Weapons of Eltar. I am going that route, because I would call them the prototypes for the power rangers, but they were given to those who fought in the war against The United Alliance of Evil. These weapons powers have increased, due to the sacrifice of Zordon and his energy wave has merged into all of those pieces. When all of these are in one location they have the ultimate power to either help or destroy the universe. The Lupin Magnum would be Zordon's Magnum (name needs work) those that know what is their duty as a Power Ranger can claim what is left of Zordon's wisdom.
Ever think the lupinrangers were inspired by gokaigers? Kairi is essentially a younger marvelous, touma is joe, and umika is ahim or luka. They’re catchphrases and suits are similar

I love your ideas. I think this season and the entire power rangers franchise would be better if they leave Nickelodeon and go back to ABC channel or go to Netflix. They would have more freedom to produce a quality storyline.
Because Nickelodeon, CBS & Allspark is under by Viacom, I agree to return to ABC but the Saban Brands & Hasbro will stay & retain the modern Power Rangers logo for quality storyline & better audience viewership. Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC & Disney+ will be the broadcasters of the Power Rangers skipped series with the likes of Kyuranger (as Galactic Defenders) & Lupinranger VS Patranger (as Vigilantes X Sentinels or Dual Justice).
Honestly... I hesitate to say if Lupin vs. Patrol will be adapted. The reason is because of how much of a financial disaster the toy sales were and the fact Korea actually flat out skipped this season. Part of me wonders if Toei will tell Hasbro to skip this. I honestly don't know. I'm just hesitant to say if this season has a shot in the west is all.
when I was watching this, my original thought was that if they did adapt this, they should go the route of cops vs vigilantes or heroes vs antiheroes. In all honesty, I didn't see the Lupinrangers as Thieves because 1) they were actually returning what was stolen and 2) they were trying to save the people they loved

If they adapt this for power rangers the theme song should take a cue from this and have two separate themes, One by Ron Wasserman (for pats) and one by either Gabriel Brown (who has done hasbro-relared work in the past) or Noam Kainel (for lupin), that get combined into one for the intro

While I do like the double show route, I want to say that the team's should meet sooner then what you said. However, I'm not saying this willy nilly. Power Rangers has its own lore, that is also seperate from super sentai. Namely, the morphing grid. Previous seasons have either said or showcased what happens when duplicate powers run around. And while Pat and lupin are not identical powers, they are based on the same tech, and are likely seen as similer powers. So an early mystery can be why pat and lupin red keep having issues with there powers. This can drive some of the original conflict between the groups as well, and even after they find a work around,the team's can still distrust.
I was thinking of trying to go down the road of Hexagon (the original plans done by Saban to adapt Hurricaneger). The two teams would split in the first half (with X debuting around episode 14), but around the third and/or 4th episode of the second half, they would team up with the Galaxy/Kyurangers, who would have a big break after Silver was tricked into joining the side of evil and finally unite and share each other’s zords (maybe the Ramion Gang either are the final boss of the first half, or the first of the second half, using the temporary alliance idea that Lupat did w/ them). I kind of want to use Sholmes and Wilson in some form too, even if Jackpot isn’t brought over.
While I like the idea of 2 separate shows that finally clash in the 2nd season, I feel like the source footage doesn't really lend itself well to that. A lot of the footage has both teams interacting, and you're going to either have to skip early episode footage in favor of later footage, only to wind things back to early footage again when they finally meet each other. Like... if you have an entire season of Lupinranger progressing and gaining powers, and likewise for Patranger, then you have your crossover series and suddenly they're just not using their newer powers anymore, or they're acting like newbies to all the powers they've used/seen before. As for the story, I think it's fine to have both teams against each other throughout the series. Personally, I think the best angle to go with would be to have the series as a sort of precursor to SPD. It could have been framed as the Patrangers being an earth based defense force against aliens which are starting to become widespread knowledge. The Patrangers have an S on their badge, incorporate the badge design and the "Space Patrol Alpha" SPA text from the Once & Always movie and just make them the ranger team of SPA. Try to get cameos from Karan Ashley and Johnny Yong Bosch to really sell the connection. Make the Ganglers an alien crime organization that are attacking earth and the first major threat that the Patrangers have to deal with since the SPA forming. Then you have the Lupinrangers who can be alien rangers. Maybe not overtly alien in design, although that's a possibility. You could use aliens we've seen previously in the series. Set things up so the Ganglers have stolen something important to their planet or something and they're trying to recover the powers for their home. Or maybe you phrase it like there is 1 power they need that will save their home but they dont know which gangler has it so they have to grab them all to be safe so it's not destroyed. If you really want to push past connections, try to get one of the DiFillippo brothers (Trey of Triforia's Triplet actors from Zeo) to come back and cast them for Lupin X / Patren X. You could have it set up that Triforia helped the SPA/Patrangers with establishing their new team, and also was an ally of the Lupinrangers which explains the similar gear, and would also lend itself to the existence of Patren Ugou and Lupin Tricolor (if it was used). So very similar to the original, you have a team of cops trying to protect their world from invaders, without realizing anything about the alien treasures they stole, while you have a team of thieves more concerned about obtaining the treasures than stopping the bad guys. Them also being alien invaders of sorts will also put them against the SPA. You have Patren X/Lupin X who has a connection to both teams and a way to explain their similar gear. And it has connections to multiple past series which is always a big hit, and you can still use all the existing suit footage because none of the dynamics change, just the out of suit stuff, which can re-use old props from SPD if they're still around, some of the limited SPA stuff from Once & Always, etc.
So super short idea is to lean into the split season. 20 episodes with the cops, working against the ganglers trying to save the city. At the mid show break an event will cause the team to have to "go rogue" at least in appearance. Their chief can be like Jim Gordon in Dark Knight, knowing they are not bad but haveing to chase them and could even turn out to be Ranger X helping out where ever possible but also showing up as PatoranX to "appear" to be the last line of defence against these rogue rangers. In the end the rangers clear their names and return to being cops.

I read the comments and thought of my own ideas, here’s the idea: The Gangstons, an intergalactic terrorist and criminal group, stole the Vertex Artifacts to use them for their sinister purposes like nuking some unfortunate planet. Now, Power Rangers Night Rogues (students to a legendary phantom thief- who happens to be the parent of the Red Rogue Ranger) must recover the stolen Artifacts, while being chased by Power Rangers Mission Force, an advanced special tactical unit of a global peacekeeping initiative or coalition determined to contain or destroy the Gangstons. The Rangers: Red Rogue Ranger: heir/heiress to the legendary phantom thief; Blue Rogue Ranger: a hard-boiled but gentlemanly guy from Detroit; Yellow Rogue Ranger: she is practically a cat burglar; Red Mission Ranger: an ex-police cadet-turned-mercenary; Green Mission Ranger: some guy who have worked with the FBI or NSA or some other federal intelligence or security agency; Pink Mission Ranger: policewoman transferred from another country (maybe the UK, France, Germany, South Korea, China, or Japan); and finally, Sliver Rogue Ranger/Gold Mission Ranger: simply trying to avenge that planet and its inhabitants.
I really like your ideas of the episodes for the pats and Lupins but sadly here is my complaints... While in japan, gentlemen thieves are popular, the cops felt useless... like Lupin the 3rd. Zenigata always had a break but always lost to Lupin. I think the Lupin vs Patranger should be the focus of the cops than the thieves. In America here, cops are everything and where I lived I was made fun of and cops saved me and cops have been seen in a bad light so I think it's time to show what cops can do against idiot assholes. I know it's cops vs robbers but in the end who looks good and who looks bad? So authority vs gentleman thieves is better this way in America. You don't want kids to be thieves, you have to respect the law and yes the Lupinrangers were on the opposite ends to justify what they did to survive but in the end, thieving is still thieving.

Here's my idea for a possible story adaptation: double down on the versus aspect and have the two teams be at odds from the beginning have the lupinrangers have a quasi magical power source and trying to get legendary artifacts from museums or tombs and other stuff from around the world to try and gain their new power-ups so they can defeat the evil gangler equivalents while the pataRangers are something in the vein of Lightspeed Rescue and that they are a team specifically designed to counter Supernatural threats like the gangler equivalent and now the other team of Power Rangers as well. I think ranger X's origin should be more or less unchanged but rather connected to the ancient civilization that had the magical technology that the lupinrangers want.
You forgot about the lupin tri mode where they fuse together. I know it was just in a special but i feel likr hasbro would put it in the show for more toy sales
For the adaption I'm thinking Power Rangers M.V.P: Masked vs Patrol. The Gangler has run the city crime world in secret until they are exposed by a group of journalist. In response they are put on ice by Zamingo, posing as a cop, and are caputred. The three Masked rangers would be relatives of the missing journalists and witness what happened to them and vow payback with the help of a former cop who trains them. Meanwhile the police has developed the ranger technology and recruited three officers to become the Patrol Rangers. One of the engineers, who would be the gold/silver ranger later on, is approached by The Masked Rangers mentor and create morphers for them in secret. This would put them on the police radar and lead to them being wanted for using police technology illegally.
I don't think the USA directors of Power Rangers seasons would used the japanese version of Lupinranger VS Patoranger as Power Rangers! because they seem to be fighting each other and don't seem to be working together to fight the forces of evil. Plus from what I heard from their Wiki Fandom website they shows are a lot volience than the other super sentai series.
Stuff like that doesnt really matter, They've adapted seasons that killed off characters but keep them alive in the adaptation. They can tone down that "violence"
Of all of the Sentai series to be adapted into Power Rangers available right now, I think only Kyuranger and Zyuohger are likely. ToQger relies on a lot of Japanese jokes and comedy, especially for their fights, so a lot of footage would have to be reworked or cut out entirely for them to make sense to an English audience. And Lupinranger vs Patranger has thieves as their primary heroes while the cops barely have any scenes on their own away from the thieves, which might make parents get the wrong idea about the show and raise complaints. Though in the end, Power Rangers is a kids show made for a Western audience, so the makers of the show have to choose what's most likely to be marketable for kids.
I think this season could be done if they bring back 2 past rangers for Lupinranger the Phantom Ranger from Turbo now with Patoranger the Blue Centurion as the mentors for both teams.

He was a 6th ranger who they made more into a mentor and while I loved mystic force I hate him as a ranger because he felt like he didn't belong
One thing I think Hasbro should do story wise is implement some sort of connection between the 2 red rangers, maybe they're brothers, maybe they're father and son, maybe they're something else, ether way they should be connected somehow.
So, something I noticed that a lot of people dont really mention is that, the Lupinrangers have a more elegant design, and the Patorangers have a more armored look, where as with Lupin X, his design is more armored and Patren X's design is more elegant.
Better idea for Power Rangers Cops&Robbers (not the best name, I know, needs work there): Patren1Gou and LupinRed are identical twin brothers while the rest of the rangers are bipolar and switch places every alternate day. so 1st episode is regular teams, then Patren3Gou and LupinBlue become LupinGreen (DialFighter Cyclone) and Patren4Gou (TriggerMachine Biker) respecticvely, then Patren3Gou and LupinYellow become LupinPink (a.k.a. Lupink) (there is currently no pink DialFighter) and Patren5Gou (TriggerMachine Crane & Drill) respectively, then Green and Blue swap back, then pink and Yellow swap back and the cycle repeats. Near the end, the rangers could assume hybrid forms. The Transformers repaints as Zords idea suggested in the video is an excellent idea, with the original TriggerMachine & DialFighter models being used only for transformation and summoning. Summoning could work the same way as in the Super Sentai version but instead of simply getting bigger, the Zords could "shimmer" transform from Trigger/Dial Mode into Transformer mode.
As someone who’s a fan of both Power Rangers and Phantom Thieves, I would love to see this series adapted to international release. Best part is they wouldn’t need to change the concept of Lupin treasure and the name of Lupinrangers for international release both because Lupin himself came from a story outside Japan and because we have Lupin the Third dubbed In English! It would also be entertaining see the Lupinrangers interact with past Power Rangers teams, especially SPD and Time Force who are both based off law enforcement!
I commented on this four years ago, but re-reading it, my comment was kinda dumb and didn't really argue anything, so I deleted it. I honestly do not think splitting the episodes the way you proposed would be a good idea. I can vibe with them being in separate locations at the start and joining up later, but I think we need to see both teams in each episode, or else the watchers may get confused. This would also mean they'd have to film a lot of original footage and not use most of the Sentai footage, but that was done with Mighty Morphing after the White Ranger's introduction, so it wouldn't be the first time.

TL;DR While I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, I personally don’t agree with your idea for how the Power Rangers adaptation of LuPat should be handled (the idea of having two separate seasons running at the same time). There are three reasons why I don’t care for this concept. 1) The viewers might have a harder time connecting when there are two teams with their own separate stories coinciding. And when you alternate teams each week, you’d have to wait twice as long to see one team’s story continue. 2) The concept of the season is two teams competing with each other while both teams are still fighting against the bad guys. When you keep them split up for 20 episodes, that concept would feel squandered as it would just be the simple good guys versus bad guys story present in every other season. 3) Canonically, it isn’t a good idea to keep them separate because of the Lupin Collection, the whole reason the Lupinrangers are fighting in the first place. If the Patrangers have 10 episodes without the Lupinrangers involved, that’s AT LEAST 10 treasures that would be destroyed in their fight against the Ganglers. They’d have no reason to recover them. Even if they did, they wouldn’t have the means to open the safes. And with all those treasures gone, the Lupinrangers’ mutual goal goes up in smoke. So I feel it should mostly be handled the same way it was handled in the Sentai: It starts with the Ganglers verses the Phantom Thief Rangers, but around episode 2, we get the official formation of (what I’ve been calling) the Special Ops Rangers as a response team to deal with both the Ganglers and the Thieves. The biggest change I would make is unlike Super Sentai, Power Rangers wouldn’t play favorites. While in the Sentai, the Lupinrangers get more attention than the Patrangers, Power Rangers would balance out the attention. Along with getting just as many focus episodes, the Special Ops get the power ups that the Patrangers should’ve gotten in their show: Splash and Siren Striker (or whatever they'll be called in PR). This would also mean we get more instances of Super Patren 1gou (and possibly Super Patren X). And if they really want to rectify the Sentai’s favoritism, they could even give the Red Special Ops Ranger his own personal weapon that serves as a mirror to the Lupin Magnum. If Hasbro made new weapons for Beast Morphers, they surely can for this season too. By balancing out the attention, not only do both teams get the respect they deserve, but it could also have an advantage in marketing. Use the competition in the show to spark competition among the viewers by advertising toys for both teams and presenting them with as “Choose Your Side” situation. I think LuPat did something similar, but this time, the answer wouldn’t universally be “Thieves, duh!” One more idea I had for the Power Ranger adaptation involves the original relationships between the Lupinrangers and Patrangers and making them apply both ways. What I mean by that is in LuPat, the Lupinrangers knew who the Patrangers were, but it takes all season for the Patrangers to figure out who the Lupinrangers are. I think what PR should do is make both teams unaware of the other’s identities! Their civilian personas would all be friends, but they’d be hiding their Ranger identities from their friends, unaware that these friends are doing the same. I this would make it easier for the characters to spend time together as a whole cast as opposed to just staying in their three-person bubbles. It would also make the eventual reveals all the more shocking for the characters. Maybe if you want to take this further, you can keep the scenario where the Green Special Ops Ranger is in love with the girl he doesn’t know is the Yellow Phantom Thief Ranger. But once again, the reverse would apply as well: she reciprocates those feelings for him; again, unaware he’s one of her biggest rivals! By creating a pair os Star-Crossed lovers who are crushing on each other one minute and fighting each other the next, this could help to capitalize on the Ranger VS Ranger thing even more! As I mentioned in an older comment, this is currently the number one Sentai Season I want to see made into Power Rangers! As it stands, I think the 2021 season will either be based on LuPat or Kyuranger, because Zyuohger’s animal theme would feel redundant due to Beast Morphers’ animal theme and ToQger is just a bit too campy (even by Power Ranger standards). But then again, the Robot Rangers in Kyuranger may seem too similar to the Robot Ranger in Beast Morphers, while the Lupinrangers competing with the Patrangers may seem a bit redundant after the Beast Morpher Rangers competing with the Evil Avatar Rangers. So I guess we’ll just have to wait until February to see what Hasbro reveals their plan (though I’m still rooting for Power Rangers VS)!
If by some miracle and by miracle I mean Dino Fury isn't the last adaption and Lupinranger vs. Patoranger get chosen to be the next adaption. Given my idea was to portray the Lupinrangers as anti-hero thieves ala the Cat's Eye trio, the Cooper Gang, and the Phantom Thieves with the Patorangers being their somewhat friendly rivals one way you can work in some comedy if done right is basically have the civilian identities of Pato-Green, and Pato-Pink have romantic feelings for Lupin-Yellow, and Lupin-Red but when the two Ranger teams have the occasional fight against each other have Lupin-Red, and Lupin-Yellow essentially flirt with Pato-Pink, and Pato-Green on the field of battle to in a hilarious way throw them off their game and cause them to comical blunders.

If Hasbro wanted this could be the perfect sentai to adapt into a Power Ranger X Transformers crossover season. Have the origin story be that the Lupin Rangers are being assisted by good Decepticons and the Pat Rangers are being assisted by Good Autobots against a larger threat like maybe Unicron is threatening to return and the Lupin Collection could be renamed something like "The Shards of Unicron" with the Ganglers being Terrorcons that want to revive Unicron. It would require a lot of Original footage and even original content like maybe a Optimus Prime Megazord or a Megatron Megazord(And some might say that Megatron is the baddie but Hasbro do seem to be going the Megatron is a good guy route). You could even have the darker Lupin Ranger origin being included like Megatron chose the Lupin Rangers when a Terrorcon who is a copy of him destroyed(They never say Killed) their friends and family so he gives them the option to get those people back. Optimus could say that using the Lupin collection to undo the damage of the terrorcons is unethical and the Decepticons are now transformers who think it's okay, maybe even having normal Decepticons as autobots and normal Autobots as Decpticons like One I think could work is Windblade disagreeing with optimus and joining Megatrons ranks, by contrast Shockwave being a more logical bot sees the dangers of using Unicrons Shards and joins the autobots. These are just my thoughts.
The idea I have for the Lupin vs Patra adaptation is that it would be a season where an early SPD takes on a teenage team of Power Rangers. The conflict would be A Sokovia Agreement type conflict where the one team believes that Ranger Powers should be controlled by the government while the other believes they should be independent. I think this idea could work with the recent push back on cops because since it would focus on the teenage team you could shine a light on the imperfections of SPD.
I don't think the "they wouldn't know about the other team's existence" would be a good idea, i think Patranger should know that is an evil team stealing treasures, and Lupinranger should know that there is an police force looking for them, but neither of them would know that the others are rangers, so the first episodes would be Patranger investigating and searching for clues that lead to the other team, and Lupin searching their treasures and nearly escaping Patranger, while revealing their backstories through the episodes. That would create a mystery that would slowly be revealed, until they fight each other in the season finale, where Lupin would discover that Patrangers are rangers too, but it would be too late because now Patranger had gather all the clues they need to trap Lupin, then they can fight, and after that, they do that "join forces to fight the great evil" thing that you said. (sorry for the bad english, i need to go sleep)

That is the perfect name as both teams prefer to utilize they're own brand of justice the LupinRangers/Bandit Rangers being an antihero team and of the grey/chaotic good alignment have a somewhat more darker approach to justice meaning they're willing to do some actions that officially prohibited by the law in order to protect innocents and at times would see their somewhat friendly rivals as being at times naïve and essentially have a mindset of this world isn't black and white and if protecting innocents means taking on the monsters, and their allies with some of their tactics and methods then so be it , where as the Patorangers being essentially supercops have a more traditional senses of justice and prefer to protect innocents while still remaining to their code of conduct and have a good understanding of the LupinRangers/Bandit Rangers' reasons but don't always agree with their methods.

While I really like many of your ideas, I feel like a big factor in Hasbro's decision to adapt LuPat into a Power Rangers season is the Lupinrangers themselves. They'd have to find a way to justify their being thieves. Yes, they could have them steal from the bad guys exclusively and I'm not saying it's not impossible to have thieves as protagonists (like the Sly Cooper series of video games), but Hasbro would have their work cut out for them in turning the Lupinrangers into Power Rangers. The Patrangers could easily be a another branch of S.P.D. or an early version depending on what year they would air the adaptation, but honestly, the Lupinrangers feel like a significant challenge Hasbro would have to overcome in my mind.
Although honestly, if Hasbro does manage to find a way to adapt LuPat, then I really hope they do what they did with Beast Morphers and recreate the suits and/or make new suits so they can make original footage and have the power-ups and zords belong to their actual owners and change that stupid crane arm "power-up"!

while I do not agree with the "make them all transformers", I agree that some of that tech would be needed for the zord parts. good-striker base aside, each and every "non head" veicle is absolute trash as a limb, with only the blimp somewhat defending itself. having the the limb capable of ACTUAL movement, and maybe have some "skateboard" capabilities so to not have the ranger always going around on oversized car and planes (immagine what they did with the DX candroid from KR OOO toyline)

I think for a reason for 2 teams would be simple. There's the light hero side that works with the law or as the law, similar to TIme force. They're the good rangers who beat up the monsters to save the people but they're constrained by the law and are reactive.
The Lupinrangers could definitely be more akin to antiheroes who break the law to be proactive and use underhanded means to get the results needed in a sort of "ends justify the means" way.
It's a simple idea but it has the possibility of working well.

Power Rangers Phantom Thieves vs. Power Rangers Sigma Patrol
SYNOPSIS: When an army of creatures know as the Gangler arrives from another dimension and seek to conquer our world by using the Lupin Collection, mystical artifacts which were collected by the legendary Arsene Lupin, as they misuse it to hurt innocents. But however, two different Ranger teams (The Phantom Thieves Rangers and the Sigma Patrol Rangers) arrives to battle them, but for different reasons: the Sigma Patrol Rangers, being part of Sigma Patrol, an sister faction of SPD where they deal with inter-dimensional criminals, want to make sure that the Lupin Collection would be safe away and aren't being misuse by anyone else and the Phantom Thieves Rangers seek to sure those artifacts to bring back their loved ones as the two teams are forced to fight each other while they stilling with the Gangler threat.
Maybe the Phantom Thieves's mecha could have a sort of Zeo deal going on with them being based around mythical creatures and items?

TL;DR. Here’s my two cents on these 4 seasons and their possibilities.
Ressha Sentai ToQger is the only one of the four I can’t see ever becoming a Power Rangers season. I personally think the idea of Train-Rangers to be pretty campy and goofy (even by Power Rangers standards) and I just don’t see the show ever going that direction. But I will give ToQger points for the amazing villain designs! I love how they look monstrous, but they also look as elegant as they do threatening.
Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger was a concept I didn’t care for at first, but is beginning to grow on me. I like when they play with the genders of the Blue and Yellow Rangers. Normally, the Blue Ranger is Male and the Yellow Ranger is Female, but this is one of the instances where those roles are flipped. If this becomes part of Power Rangers, it will be the first time we've seen this role reversal since Mystic Force (Mahou Sentai Magiranger). Admittedly, I don't care for the looks of Zyuoh Bird (I don't think Zyuoh Eagle's design works with this coloration), Zyuoh Condor (see my problem with Zyuoh Bird), or Zyuoh Gorilla (which looks a bit goofy to me). But again, the other designs are growing on me and I REALLY like the look of Zyuoh Whale! They probably won’t go the animal route right now since you could argue that they just did with Beast Morphers, but I could picture this being in Power Rangers universe someday.
Uchu Sentai Kyuranger would really be a winning direction for the franchise to take. Not only has the theme of Space-Rangers not been done in years (with the two times it’s been done being some of the highest points in this show’s history), but there’s just a lot of style in this season! The mechs look amazing, the suits look amazing, the possibilities for this show are virtually endless, there's really nothing much I can say that you haven't already said. I really think this could be made into a great season of Power Rangers!
Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger would also be a great direction for the franchise to take. Admittedly, it lacks a lot of the style as some of the other seasons (excluding the suits, which are pretty sweet), but what it lacks in it’s aesthetics, it more than makes up for in it’s theme. Cops and Robbers is a theme that I think would be great to see in Power Rangers for two reasons.
First, it could help introduce some darker themes, such as morally-gray characters; and if Lost Galaxy, Time Force, and RPM have taught us anything, it’s that Power Rangers shouldn’t be afraid to dawn some darker colors from time to time.
Second, rangers fighting other rangers has always been something Power Rangers fans have enjoyed seeing. The Psycho Rangers, The Thunder Rangers, SPD A-Squad, they were all fun to watch go against the main team. However, unlike previous seasons, where one team is either pure evil or being manipulated by the bad guys, both of these Ranger teams are good, but just fighting for different reasons. This is not only a unique way to go about things, but also a mature way; and this could help to teach younger fans that just because two groups are fighting with each other, it doesn’t always mean one is obviously right and one is obviously wrong. So I feel like this has the potential to be not only an entertaining season of Power Rangers, but also an important season of Power Rangers!
So if I were to rank these seasons from the one I’d most like to see to the one I’d least like to see, I’d probably rank them in the reverse order you presented them.
LuPat is my number one.
Kyuranger is my number two.
Zyuohger is my number three.
And ToQger is my number four.

1) Touma and Aya being “fiances”. Power rangers, for some reason, never wanna include stuff like this in their stories (engagement, marriage, romance etc.)
2) I love the concept of how the three of them had to steal the treasure, as if their life depended on it, because they lost their loved ones. This concept is awesome. Which is exactly why power rangers won't use it 🤦♂️
3) I cannot imagine “Here's your warning! We're here to take your treasure!” being said in English without cringing.
Considering how well Persona 5 has done here, Hasbro could be convinced to stick with the Phantom Thieve theme!

This series is PERFECT for Power Rangers, Cops and Robbers aesthetics work already with kids and adds to a game that kids already play. As far as story, they could take what they did with Overdrive, only make it better. Have the Lupinrangers be tasked with finding the collection, like in the sentai, and the Patorangers trying to stop them and recover the collection as well. X can be the decedent of Lupin himself and play both sides as he does in the sentai, but do it better so that the mystery lasts longer (ie not revealing who he is to either team right off the bat) of who X is and what side is he on and then ultimately being the unifying force that combines the team as they are both working towards the same goal.
The hardest part in adapting it thou obliviously is the thieves and trying to make them look like the good guys while still being the bad guys. I would try and characterize the Lupinrangers more as anti-heroes than thieves as the whole thieving aesthetic is merely a means to an end to get what they want from the ganglars. X should be the only real trained thief of the series. This way you can add a bit more tension and even out the teams more as the Patorangers always kinda came off as more bumbling than heroic in the sentai. Have the Patorangers be skilled recruits be fresh out of the academy that know what they are doing, while you have the Lupinrangers as amateur thieves trying to get the collection back for whatever reason. The diiference being that the Lupinrangers have to rely on gadgets and escape being caught by the skin of their teeth rather than the bumbling of the Patorangers (that was something that bothered me in the sentai since these regular people just seem to become master thieves pretty much overnight). Hell, you can end the season with the Patorangers finally catching the Lupinrangers (or them turning themselves in) and the Patorangers letting them off since they were stealing from monsters and the technicality is that there are no rules saying you can't steal from monsters or something like that.

They should definitely not be split up, half of the possible charm is the fact that they have two teams facing off against eachother with different ideas of how to get things done, otherwise it would just be jarring when it cuts between them each week

I really want the thieves to be similar to Assassin's Creed. I think that would be incredibly unique. So rather than being entirely thieves, they could be assassin's but don't actually kill. And the officers could be Bounty Hunters.

Here's my suggestion for the plot: The Power ranger Civil War. This is why two newbies are fighting. They're from different planets or dimensions as suggested, but their radical oppositions of ideals come from those different worlds, and the reasons they fight could be summed up thusly:
Lupin are from a world that had to overthrow an evil Dictatorship and as such are practically anarchists, having a bedtime for any of them is considered an insult.
Paton, however, are from a world or environment wherein They needed rigid order and discipline to overthrow something else entirely. That makes them massive sticklers for the littlest laws or rules.
Both teams are contacted by the Hexagon or the like and meet up just as a new threat emerges that splits the Hexagon in two. These Ranger factions can best be described as "Freedom vs Security." whereas the bad guy has actually killed ranger teams before. (Less than subtle mounted helmets on the main villain's wall or something.) Hense all kinds of guest ranger/fan service potential.
They occasionally put aside their differences to fight MOTW's but Lupin and Paton are on pretty self-explanatory, opposite sides of this conflict, even if a couple of them are friends from way back in the day, lovers, what have you.
i'm the only one that watch lupinranger vs patorangers and see a lot of reference of persona 5 (the lupinranger part and the sixth ranger) ? and i hope at least hasrbo for the thief part of the serie took references on persona 5

i would adapt Lupat with TQG as a combined season with three teams. it could also have potential to have the Lupat Mecha be cross compatible with the ToQGer mech, since they are very similar to each other.

I kept thinking about their names in Power Rangers form. The Lupinrangers would be Phantom Vigilantes and the Patorangers be the Sentinel Guardians given their VS.
The story of the collection piece, I would make them into the Weapons of Eltar. I am going that route, because I would call them the prototypes for the power rangers, but they were given to those who fought in the war against The United Alliance of Evil. These weapons powers have increased, due to the sacrifice of Zordon and his energy wave has merged into all of those pieces. When all of these are in one location they have the ultimate power to either help or destroy the universe.
The Lupin Magnum would be Zordon's Magnum (name needs work) those that know what is their duty as a Power Ranger can claim what is left of Zordon's wisdom.
Ever think the lupinrangers were inspired by gokaigers? Kairi is essentially a younger marvelous, touma is joe, and umika is ahim or luka. They’re catchphrases and suits are similar

I love your ideas. I think this season and the entire power rangers franchise would be better if they leave Nickelodeon and go back to ABC channel or go to Netflix. They would have more freedom to produce a quality storyline.

Because Nickelodeon, CBS & Allspark is under by Viacom, I agree to return to ABC but the Saban Brands & Hasbro will stay & retain the modern Power Rangers logo for quality storyline & better audience viewership. Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC & Disney+ will be the broadcasters of the Power Rangers skipped series with the likes of Kyuranger (as Galactic Defenders) & Lupinranger VS Patranger (as Vigilantes X Sentinels or Dual Justice).
Honestly... I hesitate to say if Lupin vs. Patrol will be adapted. The reason is because of how much of a financial disaster the toy sales were and the fact Korea actually flat out skipped this season. Part of me wonders if Toei will tell Hasbro to skip this. I honestly don't know. I'm just hesitant to say if this season has a shot in the west is all.
when I was watching this, my original thought was that if they did adapt this, they should go the route of cops vs vigilantes or heroes vs antiheroes. In all honesty, I didn't see the Lupinrangers as Thieves because 1) they were actually returning what was stolen and 2) they were trying to save the people they loved

If they adapt this for power rangers the theme song should take a cue from this and have two separate themes, One by Ron Wasserman (for pats) and one by either Gabriel Brown (who has done hasbro-relared work in the past) or Noam Kainel (for lupin), that get combined into one for the intro

While I do like the double show route, I want to say that the team's should meet sooner then what you said. However, I'm not saying this willy nilly.
Power Rangers has its own lore, that is also seperate from super sentai. Namely, the morphing grid.
Previous seasons have either said or showcased what happens when duplicate powers run around. And while Pat and lupin are not identical powers, they are based on the same tech, and are likely seen as similer powers. So an early mystery can be why pat and lupin red keep having issues with there powers. This can drive some of the original conflict between the groups as well, and even after they find a work around,the team's can still distrust.
I was thinking of trying to go down the road of Hexagon (the original plans done by Saban to adapt Hurricaneger). The two teams would split in the first half (with X debuting around episode 14), but around the third and/or 4th episode of the second half, they would team up with the Galaxy/Kyurangers, who would have a big break after Silver was tricked into joining the side of evil and finally unite and share each other’s zords (maybe the Ramion Gang either are the final boss of the first half, or the first of the second half, using the temporary alliance idea that Lupat did w/ them). I kind of want to use Sholmes and Wilson in some form too, even if Jackpot isn’t brought over.
While I like the idea of 2 separate shows that finally clash in the 2nd season, I feel like the source footage doesn't really lend itself well to that.
A lot of the footage has both teams interacting, and you're going to either have to skip early episode footage in favor of later footage, only to wind things back to early footage again when they finally meet each other.
Like... if you have an entire season of Lupinranger progressing and gaining powers, and likewise for Patranger, then you have your crossover series and suddenly they're just not using their newer powers anymore, or they're acting like newbies to all the powers they've used/seen before.
As for the story, I think it's fine to have both teams against each other throughout the series. Personally, I think the best angle to go with would be to have the series as a sort of precursor to SPD. It could have been framed as the Patrangers being an earth based defense force against aliens which are starting to become widespread knowledge. The Patrangers have an S on their badge, incorporate the badge design and the "Space Patrol Alpha" SPA text from the Once & Always movie and just make them the ranger team of SPA. Try to get cameos from Karan Ashley and Johnny Yong Bosch to really sell the connection.
Make the Ganglers an alien crime organization that are attacking earth and the first major threat that the Patrangers have to deal with since the SPA forming.
Then you have the Lupinrangers who can be alien rangers. Maybe not overtly alien in design, although that's a possibility. You could use aliens we've seen previously in the series. Set things up so the Ganglers have stolen something important to their planet or something and they're trying to recover the powers for their home. Or maybe you phrase it like there is 1 power they need that will save their home but they dont know which gangler has it so they have to grab them all to be safe so it's not destroyed.
If you really want to push past connections, try to get one of the DiFillippo brothers (Trey of Triforia's Triplet actors from Zeo) to come back and cast them for Lupin X / Patren X. You could have it set up that Triforia helped the SPA/Patrangers with establishing their new team, and also was an ally of the Lupinrangers which explains the similar gear, and would also lend itself to the existence of Patren Ugou and Lupin Tricolor (if it was used).
So very similar to the original, you have a team of cops trying to protect their world from invaders, without realizing anything about the alien treasures they stole, while you have a team of thieves more concerned about obtaining the treasures than stopping the bad guys. Them also being alien invaders of sorts will also put them against the SPA. You have Patren X/Lupin X who has a connection to both teams and a way to explain their similar gear. And it has connections to multiple past series which is always a big hit, and you can still use all the existing suit footage because none of the dynamics change, just the out of suit stuff, which can re-use old props from SPD if they're still around, some of the limited SPA stuff from Once & Always, etc.
So super short idea is to lean into the split season. 20 episodes with the cops, working against the ganglers trying to save the city. At the mid show break an event will cause the team to have to "go rogue" at least in appearance. Their chief can be like Jim Gordon in Dark Knight, knowing they are not bad but haveing to chase them and could even turn out to be Ranger X helping out where ever possible but also showing up as PatoranX to "appear" to be the last line of defence against these rogue rangers.
In the end the rangers clear their names and return to being cops.
If they were split, then no Ultrazord.

I read the comments and thought of my own ideas, here’s the idea: The Gangstons, an intergalactic terrorist and criminal group, stole the Vertex Artifacts to use them for their sinister purposes like nuking some unfortunate planet. Now, Power Rangers Night Rogues (students to a legendary phantom thief- who happens to be the parent of the Red Rogue Ranger) must recover the stolen Artifacts, while being chased by Power Rangers Mission Force, an advanced special tactical unit of a global peacekeeping initiative or coalition determined to contain or destroy the Gangstons. The Rangers: Red Rogue Ranger: heir/heiress to the legendary phantom thief; Blue Rogue Ranger: a hard-boiled but gentlemanly guy from Detroit; Yellow Rogue Ranger: she is practically a cat burglar; Red Mission Ranger: an ex-police cadet-turned-mercenary; Green Mission Ranger: some guy who have worked with the FBI or NSA or some other federal intelligence or security agency; Pink Mission Ranger: policewoman transferred from another country (maybe the UK, France, Germany, South Korea, China, or Japan); and finally, Sliver Rogue Ranger/Gold Mission Ranger: simply trying to avenge that planet and its inhabitants.
This is my favorite idea. It's just so different from other things that have come before. Also makes me think of Persona

While in japan, gentlemen thieves are popular, the cops felt useless... like Lupin the 3rd.

Here's my idea for a possible story adaptation: double down on the versus aspect and have the two teams be at odds from the beginning have the lupinrangers have a quasi magical power source and trying to get legendary artifacts from museums or tombs and other stuff from around the world to try and gain their new power-ups so they can defeat the evil gangler equivalents while the pataRangers are something in the vein of Lightspeed Rescue and that they are a team specifically designed to counter Supernatural threats like the gangler equivalent and now the other team of Power Rangers as well. I think ranger X's origin should be more or less unchanged but rather connected to the ancient civilization that had the magical technology that the lupinrangers want.

For the adaption I'm thinking Power Rangers M.V.P: Masked vs Patrol. The Gangler has run the city crime world in secret until they are exposed by a group of journalist. In response they are put on ice by Zamingo, posing as a cop, and are caputred. The three Masked rangers would be relatives of the missing journalists and witness what happened to them and vow payback with the help of a former cop who trains them. Meanwhile the police has developed the ranger technology and recruited three officers to become the Patrol Rangers. One of the engineers, who would be the gold/silver ranger later on, is approached by The Masked Rangers mentor and create morphers for them in secret. This would put them on the police radar and lead to them being wanted for using police technology illegally.
in the power rangers adaption, the gold slash silver ranger would probably be Tommy Oliver's son, he tries to keep peace between the two teams

I don't think the USA directors of Power Rangers seasons would used the japanese version of Lupinranger VS Patoranger as Power Rangers! because they seem to be fighting each other and don't seem to be working together to fight the forces of evil. Plus from what I heard from their Wiki Fandom website they shows are a lot volience than the other super sentai series.
Stuff like that doesnt really matter, They've adapted seasons that killed off characters but keep them alive in the adaptation. They can tone down that "violence"
Of all of the Sentai series to be adapted into Power Rangers available right now, I think only Kyuranger and Zyuohger are likely. ToQger relies on a lot of Japanese jokes and comedy, especially for their fights, so a lot of footage would have to be reworked or cut out entirely for them to make sense to an English audience. And Lupinranger vs Patranger has thieves as their primary heroes while the cops barely have any scenes on their own away from the thieves, which might make parents get the wrong idea about the show and raise complaints. Though in the end, Power Rangers is a kids show made for a Western audience, so the makers of the show have to choose what's most likely to be marketable for kids.

1. I didn't include the Lupin Magnum as a separate megazord because it had barely any relevance as one in the show so I imagine that it would be part of the gun toy like in japan

He was a 6th ranger who they made more into a mentor and while I loved mystic force I hate him as a ranger because he felt like he didn't belong

So, something I noticed that a lot of people dont really mention is that, the Lupinrangers have a more elegant design, and the Patorangers have a more armored look, where as with Lupin X, his design is more armored and Patren X's design is more elegant.
Also, there was a mecha for q4, Lupin Magnum.

Better idea for Power Rangers Cops&Robbers (not the best name, I know, needs work there): Patren1Gou and LupinRed are identical twin brothers while the rest of the rangers are bipolar and switch places every alternate day. so 1st episode is regular teams, then Patren3Gou and LupinBlue become LupinGreen (DialFighter Cyclone) and Patren4Gou (TriggerMachine Biker) respecticvely, then Patren3Gou and LupinYellow become LupinPink (a.k.a. Lupink) (there is currently no pink DialFighter) and Patren5Gou (TriggerMachine Crane & Drill) respectively, then Green and Blue swap back, then pink and Yellow swap back and the cycle repeats. Near the end, the rangers could assume hybrid forms. The Transformers repaints as Zords idea suggested in the video is an excellent idea, with the original TriggerMachine & DialFighter models being used only for transformation and summoning. Summoning could work the same way as in the Super Sentai version but instead of simply getting bigger, the Zords could "shimmer" transform from Trigger/Dial Mode into Transformer mode.

As someone who’s a fan of both Power Rangers and Phantom Thieves, I would love to see this series adapted to international release. Best part is they wouldn’t need to change the concept of Lupin treasure and the name of Lupinrangers for international release both because Lupin himself came from a story outside Japan and because we have Lupin the Third dubbed In English! It would also be entertaining see the Lupinrangers interact with past Power Rangers teams, especially SPD and Time Force who are both based off law enforcement!

I commented on this four years ago, but re-reading it, my comment was kinda dumb and didn't really argue anything, so I deleted it.
I honestly do not think splitting the episodes the way you proposed would be a good idea. I can vibe with them being in separate locations at the start and joining up later, but I think we need to see both teams in each episode, or else the watchers may get confused. This would also mean they'd have to film a lot of original footage and not use most of the Sentai footage, but that was done with Mighty Morphing after the White Ranger's introduction, so it wouldn't be the first time.

just one problem with the magazord toy sale number which is that the X changer is the mecha for lupin and patren X the only release that would be needed in the other two train mecha
TL;DR
While I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, I personally don’t agree with your idea for how the Power Rangers adaptation of LuPat should be handled (the idea of having two separate seasons running at the same time). There are three reasons why I don’t care for this concept.
1) The viewers might have a harder time connecting when there are two teams with their own separate stories coinciding. And when you alternate teams each week, you’d have to wait twice as long to see one team’s story continue.
2) The concept of the season is two teams competing with each other while both teams are still fighting against the bad guys. When you keep them split up for 20 episodes, that concept would feel squandered as it would just be the simple good guys versus bad guys story present in every other season.
3) Canonically, it isn’t a good idea to keep them separate because of the Lupin Collection, the whole reason the Lupinrangers are fighting in the first place. If the Patrangers have 10 episodes without the Lupinrangers involved, that’s AT LEAST 10 treasures that would be destroyed in their fight against the Ganglers. They’d have no reason to recover them. Even if they did, they wouldn’t have the means to open the safes. And with all those treasures gone, the Lupinrangers’ mutual goal goes up in smoke.
So I feel it should mostly be handled the same way it was handled in the Sentai: It starts with the Ganglers verses the Phantom Thief Rangers, but around episode 2, we get the official formation of (what I’ve been calling) the Special Ops Rangers as a response team to deal with both the Ganglers and the Thieves.
The biggest change I would make is unlike Super Sentai, Power Rangers wouldn’t play favorites. While in the Sentai, the Lupinrangers get more attention than the Patrangers, Power Rangers would balance out the attention. Along with getting just as many focus episodes, the Special Ops get the power ups that the Patrangers should’ve gotten in their show: Splash and Siren Striker (or whatever they'll be called in PR). This would also mean we get more instances of Super Patren 1gou (and possibly Super Patren X).
And if they really want to rectify the Sentai’s favoritism, they could even give the Red Special Ops Ranger his own personal weapon that serves as a mirror to the Lupin Magnum. If Hasbro made new weapons for Beast Morphers, they surely can for this season too. By balancing out the attention, not only do both teams get the respect they deserve, but it could also have an advantage in marketing. Use the competition in the show to spark competition among the viewers by advertising toys for both teams and presenting them with as “Choose Your Side” situation. I think LuPat did something similar, but this time, the answer wouldn’t universally be “Thieves, duh!”
One more idea I had for the Power Ranger adaptation involves the original relationships between the Lupinrangers and Patrangers and making them apply both ways. What I mean by that is in LuPat, the Lupinrangers knew who the Patrangers were, but it takes all season for the Patrangers to figure out who the Lupinrangers are. I think what PR should do is make both teams unaware of the other’s identities! Their civilian personas would all be friends, but they’d be hiding their Ranger identities from their friends, unaware that these friends are doing the same. I this would make it easier for the characters to spend time together as a whole cast as opposed to just staying in their three-person bubbles. It would also make the eventual reveals all the more shocking for the characters.
Maybe if you want to take this further, you can keep the scenario where the Green Special Ops Ranger is in love with the girl he doesn’t know is the Yellow Phantom Thief Ranger. But once again, the reverse would apply as well: she reciprocates those feelings for him; again, unaware he’s one of her biggest rivals! By creating a pair os Star-Crossed lovers who are crushing on each other one minute and fighting each other the next, this could help to capitalize on the Ranger VS Ranger thing even more!
As I mentioned in an older comment, this is currently the number one Sentai Season I want to see made into Power Rangers! As it stands, I think the 2021 season will either be based on LuPat or Kyuranger, because Zyuohger’s animal theme would feel redundant due to Beast Morphers’ animal theme and ToQger is just a bit too campy (even by Power Ranger standards). But then again, the Robot Rangers in Kyuranger may seem too similar to the Robot Ranger in Beast Morphers, while the Lupinrangers competing with the Patrangers may seem a bit redundant after the Beast Morpher Rangers competing with the Evil Avatar Rangers. So I guess we’ll just have to wait until February to see what Hasbro reveals their plan (though I’m still rooting for Power Rangers VS)!
If by some miracle and by miracle I mean Dino Fury isn't the last adaption and Lupinranger vs. Patoranger get chosen to be the next adaption. Given my idea was to portray the Lupinrangers as anti-hero thieves ala the Cat's Eye trio, the Cooper Gang, and the Phantom Thieves with the Patorangers being their somewhat friendly rivals one way you can work in some comedy if done right is basically have the civilian identities of Pato-Green, and Pato-Pink have romantic feelings for Lupin-Yellow, and Lupin-Red but when the two Ranger teams have the occasional fight against each other have Lupin-Red, and Lupin-Yellow essentially flirt with Pato-Pink, and Pato-Green on the field of battle to in a hilarious way throw them off their game and cause them to comical blunders.
Your idea for the toys almost works if you didn’t have hot spot be an arm Zord he’s a torso.

Fam I'd love for them to bring Patranger Vs Lupinranger to the USA imagine how the toy sales would be? And imagine the playground fights maaaan I this would be the next step in cops and robbers
If Hasbro wanted this could be the perfect sentai to adapt into a Power Ranger X Transformers crossover season. Have the origin story be that the Lupin Rangers are being assisted by good Decepticons and the Pat Rangers are being assisted by Good Autobots against a larger threat like maybe Unicron is threatening to return and the Lupin Collection could be renamed something like "The Shards of Unicron" with the Ganglers being Terrorcons that want to revive Unicron. It would require a lot of Original footage and even original content like maybe a Optimus Prime Megazord or a Megatron Megazord(And some might say that Megatron is the baddie but Hasbro do seem to be going the Megatron is a good guy route). You could even have the darker Lupin Ranger origin being included like Megatron chose the Lupin Rangers when a Terrorcon who is a copy of him destroyed(They never say Killed) their friends and family so he gives them the option to get those people back. Optimus could say that using the Lupin collection to undo the damage of the terrorcons is unethical and the Decepticons are now transformers who think it's okay, maybe even having normal Decepticons as autobots and normal Autobots as Decpticons like One I think could work is Windblade disagreeing with optimus and joining Megatrons ranks, by contrast Shockwave being a more logical bot sees the dangers of using Unicrons Shards and joins the autobots.
These are just my thoughts.
The idea I have for the Lupin vs Patra adaptation is that it would be a season where an early SPD takes on a teenage team of Power Rangers. The conflict would be A Sokovia Agreement type conflict where the one team believes that Ranger Powers should be controlled by the government while the other believes they should be independent. I think this idea could work with the recent push back on cops because since it would focus on the teenage team you could shine a light on the imperfections of SPD.
I don't think the "they wouldn't know about the other team's existence" would be a good idea, i think Patranger should know that is an evil team stealing treasures, and Lupinranger should know that there is an police force looking for them, but neither of them would know that the others are rangers, so the first episodes would be Patranger investigating and searching for clues that lead to the other team, and Lupin searching their treasures and nearly escaping Patranger, while revealing their backstories through the episodes. That would create a mystery that would slowly be revealed, until they fight each other in the season finale, where Lupin would discover that Patrangers are rangers too, but it would be too late because now Patranger had gather all the clues they need to trap Lupin, then they can fight, and after that, they do that "join forces to fight the great evil" thing that you said. (sorry for the bad english, i need to go sleep)
