Best thing Charlie ever did. Comparable to his Dad in Apocalypse Now. Amazing performance.

This is how I remember Charlie Sheen's voice. What a film. I watched Platoon with my dad as an 11 year old. Never felt so good at looking at my dad watching this movie. We still watch it together to this day. 44 and 74. Look at him the same way.

I've always felt that Charlie Sheen is quite eloquent for a man who threw his life away in debauchery and indulgence. In the interview where he's sober , he sounds like a writer more than a sobering drunk

I remember what Oliver Stone said about Charlie Sheen in an intro to a book with the scripts for Platoon and Salvador: "If he doesn't mess up--he's going to be a big star. It's in his blood."

His dad is really liberal, Charlie received no discipline or direction, most liberal kids end up this way in one form or another.

This is the Charlie Sheen I'll always remember. Soft spoken and seemed sweet, down to earth, mellow, and kind of shy. Unforgettablely handsome face. Best hair in the business (and how did he keep it so clean and styled in the Philippines?) Promising young actor.
