KZ Motors rule the roost as far as I am concerned. Living breathing TORQUE monsters!! I know mine was. There are faster bikes of course but just the raw power that these motors make, especially for the age they are, is just incredible. I had a 79 KZ1000 and I could be rolling along at 15 or 20 mph and just crack the throttle in first gear and roast the tire off without even touching the clutch. It was an amazing bike. I miss it!!

What do a person consider a mini bike , a mini bike when i grew up had a briggs and Stratton ect in it , not a 1394 cc
And I thought my 3/4 scale Predator v twin powered toy was kinda crazy , a four cyl now that's crazy fast.
That's overkill cool! Answer me this? Next time with proper leathers and gear, would you pull at least a full 1/8 mile pass? How about running it all out 1320?? If I had the chance I would!!
Although very cool and bad to the bone, calling it a mini bike isn't justice. It's a small bike for sure. I love it. If multi-gear engines were allowed in the true mini bike classes, the game would totally change to ridiculously unsafe racing. At 24hp my Briggs Raptor powered mini easily hits 100mph with a centrifugal clutch.
That frame is bigger than a Grom frame. I said the same thing when I seen it... "Stretched frame, bigger tires, motorcycle engine... That's a motorcycle."
I stretched a Yamaha YSR 50 frame 7 inches and fit a YZ 426 in. Was able to graft two wheels together for the rear and ran a 150 tire of a Honda scooter that also ran a 12 inch wheel.

I want ride it. Jack check out a channel called Detroit Hood tv. Bunch mini bike drag racers. This guy shows up mini bike with 600 Polaris triple 2 stroke. Dude was putting the smackdown on street bikes. Thought it was that baddest till now. Keep racing.
I'm 67 and I'd make a couple of test hits, ..maybe a run or two. Being raised in the sun bleached seats of the snack bar at Fremont Drag strip in the early 60's, I've run every car and motorcycle I owned, until 1987.
In 1983 I took my 1981 Honda 750F AMA superbike with an HRC engine, to the track to get familiar with it's behavior, as the bike was a handful to launch on road race tires. In spite of strong winds coming off the SF bay, we made some good passes, without flipping it ..best was 11.20 @ 122mph.

I've seen videos posted that are headless. With the right exposure it could become a serious sport. I would rather watch that than junior dragsters.

They raced Artic Cat snow machines at our summer drag races years ago (drag slick tracks) and the 580 did 12:19 et. The artic cat 780 did low 10's in the quarter n went as straight as an arrow out of an english long bow

Idk of it classifies as a mini bike with that big of a motor and frame modifications. It turned into a homemade motorcycle. But either way its rad!
Yes I'd ride it, but
1. I've got experience with motorcycle drag racing including some Pro Mod and Nitro Harley dragbikes.
2. I'm not always known for being smart when it comes to risk and 2 wheels.

Not to be contrary because I like this bike but, it has a motorcycle frame, motorcycle tires and a motorcycle engine so...why are they calling it a mini bike? I am seriously curious having owned many, many bikes in my lifetime including a few mini bikes and pit bikes as well.
You know what’s messed up. A lil kid in Compton has a mini bike with a single cylinder 275cc engine that’s runs 107mph in the 1/4 mile. That’s more like a naked street bike than a mini bike.

Mini bikes have no gears. That's just a very small motorcycle with a very large engine.
not true. There have been plenty of multi geared mini bikes in the past. Just gotta watch cars and cameras enough to see the cool vintage stuff they've found
@Kas. Cars and Cameras haven't built any multi geared "Mini" bikes. A true mini is limited to 10" wheels max, an industrial engine with a centrifugal clutch or CVT driveline. 130mph is definitely attainable with a single cylinder engine.

@@kasuraga that was last year at Pate swap meet. The "2 speed" is literally two centrifugal clutches that engage at different RPM. I actually almost bought that bike thinking it had a real gearbox. I couldn't justify the cost for what it was. It was pretty cool though.
I definitely agree with you, a mini bike is a bike that has 10” wheels on it, and a single cylinder no transmission bike. This thing has like a four cyclinder with a trans on it lol...

That is definitely not a mini bike. It is in between a full size and a true mini bike. Mini bikes should be classified with a one cylinder four-stroke motor and build upon that would be a true mini bike in my eyes

Too many cylinders to be a mini bike! Just saying. I knew some people that used to race junior Dragster, the rules stated it had to be a single cylinder and not sure exactly the displacement but most started with the 5HP Briggs! You could bore it out which most chose to do, bored so much they had to strap the head to keep it from splitting open. I would think that to be considered a mini bike simular rules apply! At least in my mind they do lol!🤠👍

Yes i absolutely would. My nickname is sketchy, the old racers in my neighborhood gave me that name. Ive built many of very fast, not so safe backyard builds. This looks like a blast. I had a 3 wheeler with a gsxr 750 engine. Countless snowmobile triple powered toys. Even slapped my built dwarf car engine in a harley davidson golf cart. Love me some widow maker builds. lol
