Brilliant, and yeah watched the whole way through and was truly fascinated. Shrimpy seemed to be so laid-back and just appeared to let Bengal get on with exhausting himself with all his 'hand-shaking'....😃. Hoping it works out so very well for them both. Have to say I switched to double entry hideys for my three girls as they can get very upset with each other and do a little teeth chattering and humping too 😖. Great video Scotty, let's hope they're truly bonding well

Wishing the best for bengel and shrimp! For me, my boys took a few days to get used to each other (no blood was drawn though). They would fight and fight and then they both started smelling like the same cage and got along. Now, when I take one of my boys out for lap time without the other they will fight for an hour afterwards until they recognize each other again. Pigs are so funny

Great video! If the bond sticks, and they go to LAGPR, is there a way to ensure they get the same size cage? Could that be why Andy and Austin’s bond broke- not enough space? You are a guinea pig whisperer!
Glad you explained what FOMO meant- I didn't have a clue :) One of my favourite sayings/phrase is 'keep your eyes on your own yoga mat' focus on what your are doing/can do etc no need to compare to others :)

Request for update: Did this end up working or did they break-up?? Wondering since I’ve heard of other piggies breaking up after a few weeks
I have two bonded females and want to add another female. Honeycomb is the one we want join the herd. She had gotten lost in the car for a week. No food or water. We thought she got out of the car because we couldn’t find her. But a week later we heard her and found her. The vet gave her a good bill of health and she has put the weight back on. I tried putting her together with Tater and Trixie but Honeycomb just runs and hides. She will lay down beside Tater without any trouble. Tater is the boss lady. ,however,
Trixie, however, chases Honeycomb lunges at her and makes her scream. Honeycomb is very stressed out about it. Am I pulling them apart too soon? Should I keep trying?

I dont know, they seem like it might be a little too high stress even if they're not actually fighting. Maybe after a few days they'll work it out. Good luck boys
You said that you were going to put them in a 2 bye 3 that is the same size cage I had for my piggies that was way to small i hope that they will bond and you can put them in a large cage
Hey scotty, my guinea pig is having really weird low noises when he breathes.. and he doesnt have a uri... Its happened to him before and one time he sneezed and it was gone.. HELP!
Could be allergies or another Illness, definitely take him to the vet! Or try changing his bedding

I've got three boars. The two skinny pigs are in separate c&c cages with about 6sq Ft each. They have to be kept on opposite sides of the room or they'll fight through the bars (one is 7mo old the other is 9mo old). I've also got a 2mo old baby boar in a 100 litre bin (he will get moved into a c&c cage when he's bigger but he's so teeny he can slip through the holes right now). The bigger guys have both gone after the baby so they're all living separately.
I have a vet that specializes in guinea pigs and I trust completely to neuter my boys. Is it better to pair each of them with a female once they're fixed ? Or do they do better with a group of females?
My guinea pigs had a falling out. Last time I tried to re bond them..my one girl Storm,, continously tried lunging at the other girl. Now they are living in seperate cages. 6 month olds ugh
I have two boars and have tried to bond them, even left them overnight in a 2X10 ft cage but one wouldn’t come out of his second floor much,, even to eat so I separated them again. Is that normal ? Should I have just left them a little longer? The younger one seem to just bully the older one which is I think why he didn’t come down from his second floor. Neither one would let the other even close enough to hump.....thank you any advice would be great
So I have a question. I bought two guinea pigs at the same time from the same cage, they both got sick I took them into the vet. One of them had ringworm and had to stay for three more weeks. When I bring the sick one home, will they have a better chance of re-bonding since they have been together since birth?

Because they have never learned the truth about how to really love and take care of them they think that they can just put them Anne ware and feed them like giving them rabbit food because it’s cheaper than there food and that can be put out of there little safe home on to the floor with author animals like beagle and they will go after pray animals and have them on a porch that had a roof over it and in a rabbit cage with wire bottom and top that off the boy friend would start his Harley Davison up. Just for feet from them they have very sensitive little ears and the fumes and they had no hidey to go hide in they let the kids that was not old enough to run around with them in and out side and if the lady that thought she was giving them a good home was very up set them if it wasn’t for her goring back to save them they were going down hill fast, at the time I was five houses down from them , the lady that saved them gave them to me and the next day i went to get them bedding guinea pig food hay and spring water and put the bedding all the way up and over the wire bottom that can’t stand so that they will never be on wire they were skinny and had been though to much abuse I had them on my lap and they were so very sweet and adorable l fell i I love ❤️ with the the two boys the big one I named Harley boy and the one year old little one I named Sweety tweety I got back to being healthy so happy I went out and got books magazines and author information on guinea pigs to learn as much as I could , and It brakes my heart 💔that there are people out there that just don’t care . Four months later i got a little baby girl and named her squeakers she was in her cage right next to sweety, Harley only lived about a year and a half after that me and my veterinarian thinks that he had a stroke the author lady a house next to her said to me that they would put Harley on the kitchen floor and the wound be chasing him I’m so sorry for what the to little piggies had to suffer and I am so very very happy that got them and gave them a very beautiful home and all the unconditional love that I did and they gave me something that never had unconditional love ❤️ and at seven years old i held my sweety in my arms with my veterinarian as passed away going to heaven a year later i had to take my seven year old little squeakers to my very in arms as she passed away and went to heaven about four years ago I still miss them so much. Sorry for the long story ,
The people that put guinea pigs out to survive in the wild out doors all day and night with no way of knowing where to find the food that they need or water it’s like putting a two year old out doors all and night it doesn’t know how to find it’s food bottle it is frighten and scared tormatased they think that you can just put them out and they will survive wrong pray animals is what foxes, raccoons, cats and and dogs that go after pray animals and snakes at night is when they come out looking for pray animals and cats will torture a guinea pig to death just like they do to a mouse 🐁 and the pet store’s have caused a lot of suffering Painful to death y are the pet store’s a loud to sell A living animal like guinea pigs with out information on how to take care of and give them a loving forever home like telling them that they should see if they have allergies to them because a lot of people do, And. this is just one reason they can’t keep them and the people that work at the pet store’s they don’t know the right way the truth about how to take care of them it’s not their fault it’s the people that owns and runs the places it needs to be stopped they are heartless people
