I was born here in Latin America and live there and I find it amusing and am aware that this is a comedy show. It seems to me it is very silly to come here to save or protect the spanish language. Just laugh at the whole thing fellow spanish speakers. Es un show de comedia. Si no eres profesor de español o algo así se ve tonto el enojarse por como hablan español estos gringos

Sometimes happens? Yes, but not typical. That scene was recreated in that way to make you laugh at the end when teacher asks for help in English. If you can’t laugh about it I suggest you take antidepressants, cause even a joke is making you sad

Sea necio, es comedia.... no se tome las cosas en serio, en Latinoamérica cuando quieren usar inglés en la televisión casi siempre es un fracaso. No sea aguafiestas. Además es obvio que es una pésima maestra de español. La mayoría de los teachers que tuve apenas si hablaban inglés básico.

That's where you were wrong, a misconception. This episode was in 1983, during pre-Lorne Michael second reign. Many of the sketches was pre-recorded, compared to modern SNL which are 60-70% live show. Cue cards still there though.
