Yes my Spanish teacher asked me... to use chicken wing in a sentence... I walked up to the front of the class..." my wife buys lottery tickets so she chicken wing"😳
You... you people know she's an actress and not an actual spanish teacher, do you? You're aware that when you watch Star Trek, they're people with costumes and not actual aliens in space, right?
I was born here in Latin America and live there and I find it amusing and am aware that this is a comedy show. It seems to me it is very silly to come here to save or protect the spanish language. Just laugh at the whole thing fellow spanish speakers.

No sea aguafiestas. Además es obvio que es una pésima maestra de español. La mayoría de los teachers que tuve apenas si hablaban inglés básico.
Sometimes happens? Yes, but not typical. That scene was recreated in that way to make you laugh at the end when teacher asks for help in English. If you can’t laugh about it I suggest you take antidepressants, cause even a joke is making you sad
That's where you were wrong, a misconception. This episode was in 1983, during pre-Lorne Michael second reign. Many of the sketches was pre-recorded, compared to modern SNL which are 60-70% live show. Cue cards still there though.
I like how she made up more and more of the spanish words as the skit progressed

I can’t believe Julia Louis Dreyfus was on during the Eddie Murphy years WOW
Back then the SNL cast at least made an attempt to not be so obvious when reading the script cards like they do today.
