What is the thickness of the smooth silicone band? Lots of these sellers, including Barton does not include the thickness of the band, which is frustrating. I prefer thick (at least 4mm) silicone band and not those thin 2mm ones. Thanks.
good question. The smooth one I have measures at 2.85mm thickness. The elite measures at around 2.6mm thick through most of it. Both are a little thicker up around the lugs.
Yup agree with your assessment, have a few myself, however there have been occasions when I wished that the Elite did not taper at the tang as on my Airman I wanted to transfer the buckle also. So had to go with the Soft Touch which while good, the Elite is better

They are both soft, just the elites have the textured surface on the outside and are a little thicker. But both soft and comfortable. Hope that helps!

The Elite straps taper 2mm, so my 20mm tapers to 18mm at the buckle. The regular soft touch silicone straps do not taper. Hope that helps.
Texture on the Elite makes them look cheap.
I don't know, I see it opposite. To me the soft silicone (no texture) looks cheaper.
