He made absolute claims on stuff, but from what I regularly gathered, was information he was “told”, rather than what he critically thought through. …not to mention, he didn’t stay in any lane, but dove into subjects that he shouldn’t talk about…. Yeah I unsubscribed from him after the one video he made where he tried to tell everyone the economy was booming and crime was down and everything was on the up and up. He’s delusional in that sense and I told him that. There’s plenty of great fishing channels on yt where we don’t have to listen to his made up propaganda. I don’t miss him one bit.

I love your educational videos too, but (I will say this in a disgusted manner) education doesn't sell. My fishing channel is based entirely around education. My goal is to make education more entertaining with every video I make. It's a slow burn and very difficult. I know I could get far more views and grow faster by ranting about something. Let me add something. Randy is in part an influencer. And he enters the political realm from time to time. If you've listened to enough of his videos you've heard him say we have a good and strong economy. In fact we don't have a good economy and most of us can't get out of a grocery store unless we part with 100 bucks for a half basket of stuff. We pay a ton for insurance and on and on. It is possible that the political world engages and pays influencers to say that stuff. The margins in the last election in some states came down to tens of thousands of votes. Randy has 140 thousand subscribers.

I agree with your point and view of his channel. I 100% agree with Randy on FFS. Its a cheater box a long with this cameras they now have on a fishing pole. The integrity of the sport is out the window and a lot of the up and comer anglers would be wiped off the leaderboard if FFS was banned.

Spotlighting a deer freezes the deer, making it stand still right out in the open for an easy shot. it's the same phenomenon that causes lots of automobile accidents with deer. FFS doesn't freeze the bass, if anything according to some recent commentary, bass are becoming conditioned to the ping and moving away from it. So, big difference. The analogy of hunting with a drone or with infrared is more apt.
Randy is at the end of his career. He loves the sport that has helped him. I’ve talked to him. He’s worried about the future of the sport. He will continue to “rant” because he views FFS as a threat to the sport he loves.
There are better Pros with the same advise with better resumes. He had a ride for so long because there was very few open seats to be had. Aka, no high school or college anglers at that time coming into the mix. Same issues in 70s as current status. Most Pros had family money or a owned a business to get that seat. Still fairly true statement.
