This broke my heart, I knew a Carol, at school. Her family were really poor and illiterate, barely able to look after each other. She suffered horrific cruelty from the other pupils. Her family home burnt down. She lost a sibling and a parent. The surviving family moved out of town, It could have been to Notts, as it was only 40miles away. I naively imagined life would get better for her. Looking back with a lifetimes experience, this is probably her inevitable fate. Keep up the good work.
Weekly Crackanory and the chance to watch and listen to Sleaford Mods online has been my Lockdown story. Many thanks for all your works, the gritty words and music has kept me reasonably sane.

When I lived in Nottingham, I knew Carol. lived in her former flat in Bulwell too, after what used to be NCHA housed me in it . Dyed black hair, patchouli oil, Yorkshire terriers. That Carol.

all these familiar characters, tragic. I wrote 2 poems about a couple, on Allpoetry.com by Tomp, -this could have a sequel and the unfortunate sequel. I could have been Richard, you take what you can get but it's wrong even if you try to be nice. you show us the shitty reality of another humans life a

I know a mad Carol, she's crazy, sounds like something that mighta happened to her at various times of her life, she divorced Richard and blamed him for so much of her failure. Such a sham.
Wonderful story told in that real life nitty gritty way. Tales of the urban underground.
