Oh I remember those couple of nights so well......you were supposed to hear the alarms and wake up so that you could catch a monster cat! I think I shouted at your tent for about 30 or 40 seconds before I decided to strike the rod myself 😂.....oh well...it gave you the inspiration to gear up and try it for yourself, which you clearly did to great effect. First ever video I watched was when you were in France fishing a small Canal quite a few hrs ago, you’ve come along way since then. I always enjoy your videos, just two down to earth lads who love fishing, no egos or the usual product pushing rubbish. Keep up the good work chaps and get ya sens up to Yorkshire one day!
Every time my husband puts fishing on our TV I read a book as it bores me to death. However if it is one of your videos I find myself watching and enjoying it. I love you guys!!

Lads, I started watching your videos around 2012 and I thought you were the absolute bollocks. I even got some of my mates to start watching. Quest for a Twenty was the film that really kick started my interest in fishing for more than just small roach and perch on the float and your Chub and Barbel fishing on the Sussex Ouse then caused me to expand my interest on to the rivers. Honestly you should be proud of those old films because you've been inspiring anglers since the very beginning. Big ups to you both, stay safe and continue doing what you're doing as we love it 💪👌

Watching this vid of a decade ago and then watching one of your vids of today really shows how much you have learnt and progressed.
In my humble opinion you two produce by far the most interesting and the best quality and content of all the fishing vids.
Absolutely brilliant to see how far you've come. Will be showing this to my son, to show him with hard work and dedication this is what you can achieve

Love the video and we all have to start somewhere to be successful in life. I am looking back at my old videos and laughing about how cheesy they were. But at the same time looking at how much I have grown over the years and how much better quality my videos are now today. Thanks for the uplifting encouragement to be successful in life. Being a new subscriber and enjoying your content it was a real treat to see the younger lads from 10 yrs ago learning their craft, enjoying fishing and family. Being a senior citizen (62) I fully understand how watching something you said or did years ago can be embarrassing but believe me as time goes by you'll look at those days quite differently than now. Keep up the excellent work and at least by being a new viewer I can go back and watch all the ones I've missed from earlier days. Keep safe and good wishes from the U.S.A. I'm even learning how to speak the "english" language fluently.

This is how I feel when I find stuff I wrote when I was younger and read it while thinking "oh god did I even know what an apostrophe was?". Cheers, this was just the laugh I think we all needed during these.. Interesting times. This should stave off the lack of fishing madness a little longer... A little... Help.

@@kevindirke9601 yeah we can go outside with a maximum of two people if we stay at least 1,5 metres from each other. Fishing is still allowed, but i dont like to go to the commercial lakes where its very busy, i usually go down to my local creek where im all alone. This also insures i cannot give or get the coronavirus to/from anyone else. On a usual fishing day i might run into 2 hikers max
Lads, don't be ashamed of your videos. You have come so far and it's very impressive. You've worked hard, more so than most who do videos on here. You should be proud of yourselves. I wish I could have done something like this. Keep going!!

I actually really enjoy the early videos you guys made, they remind me of when I was a kid fishing my local park with my friends. I find the early videos to be quite reminiscent of the early John Wilson TV shows, no doubt you took alot of inspiration from those and it shows in your editing and choice of music. Pleasure to watch as always. Tight lines an wet nets 👀 lol 👍

What really comes across from the old video's is how determined and committed you both were and this is clear on the Park lake and reservoir diaries series, probibly the best fishing fishing video's that i have ever seen.

really cool footage from the early days, the underwater footage i think is brilliant, a camera on the end of a bank stick, simple...but some amazing footage of the carp coming into feed on the baits. please please do a new series with loads of camping, underwater footage , and more adventures. keep up the awesome work, keep safe guys. thanks for sharing

Great video boys! I never comment on UA-cam but this made me want to. I haven’t seen my brother in weeks and really miss him. We used to live together years ago and it was brilliant, and we have been fishing partners since we were about 7 or 8 (we are now 37 and 38).
