The video controller is inside the CPU. White screen is result of bad solder joints.

The charging connectors are the same but the wires between the connector and the main board are with different lengths. For E1000 are longer the PSP 3000. For PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 are the same. For PSP 1000 - I can't remember.

You have to change it. It's 6v, 0.5A but I'm not sure you can find only one pcs.

First check the battery and the charger. If the charger is OK, try to switch it on without battery (only on charger).
If the battery and the charger are OK, you need help from a technician.
How does the cpu cause the screen to go white? I have sounds like the psp is working but still theres a white screen
Hi Zfix, for how long did you used the the hot air station on the CPU? Have you used any sort of flux?

I always get confused about it.
i think they mean using hot air gun to remelt the legs of the cpu :( probs really hard
how to get the hot air under the cpu,i used hot air gun but the space under the cpu is minimal so the hot air does'nt penetrate easily,and also tell how much temperature you used and for how long.Please REPLY
I done it!
i needed three times to get the right time and temperature but at least it worked.
My tips:
-you need flux
-hold the hotairtip realy close and at least for min. 30 sec on each side of the processor
-i raised the temp to 460, but i dont know how exact my station work
And...be patient if it dont work for long first or dont work at all. Do it longer, or move the heater more slow. U cant lose its broken anyways

sure i try to explain.
Its on ebay called "rework station" or "hot air solder station". It starts about 20$.
The other thing is "flux" or "rma 223". Thats about 5€.
ironically doing the exact same thing is what worked for me. exactly 3 attempts and the fact to raise to 460 degrees celcius lol
When you say resolder do you mean remove the chip then solder it again ?
Can't do this I'm only 16 years old if I do this something went wrong on my psp I got the same psp as yours.

At 3:48 I resolder the CPU with hot air station and I have not shown this in the video.
What if it was blackscreen, but the sound is working. I mean there is no backlight? Mine was psp E1003, when I tried to turn it on, the screen shows nothing, but everything is working. Like I can play the games, musics, without knowing. I'm sorry for my bad explanation 😂 my english sucks

Hi. A guy I've contacted, his PS Vita OLED screen also has this problem sometimes (when it's ON it's just a white screen, original firmware not modded). He said he dropped it. Will this be the same fix for it? Reseating the CPU essentially with an SMD workstation or heat gun?
How thick should the thermal tape to be bought when it's reassembled?
That's amazing skills, in figuring out it's the CPU. How's you figure that one out sir? Usually repair shops would tell you, that you have to replace the screen.

No, you need hot air reordering station because you need to resolder the I.C.

ZFix im only in highschool (art,) i don't think i can do somthing like this but i did disassemble the PSP, carefully, but it seems this got harder than i imagined (i fixed some stuff before like: a watch, a phone, but those were simple cuz only had minor problems) guess i'll get it to some specialist
