Definitely right ! But I continue to use a strict small selection of some CG products. Some I personnaly found really inefficient : fabric shield (true joke), Diablo gel, and some others I was really disappointed
SO true. They have tooooooo much stuff out to the point that it makes navigating their website very confusing. Seriously, they need to kill off HALF of their products and just focus on the basics. To give you an idea how bad and confusing the website is, THIS product is not even a wax and I thought it was. It's just a glaze to spiff up gray or black cars before they go into the showroom. It offers no protection. Remember to put actual wax over it after you apply it if you actually want protection. I recommend Meguiar's #16 if you can find it or for those who want fast protection, try Prima Hydro which is a spray on wax. Just spray on a wet OR dry car, let it dry and buff it. Takes less than 15 minutes to do a 4 door compact like a VW MKVII Golf
From my experience, chemical guys is intended for the week end warrior or the car enthusiast...some products are good but most are the same thing with a different scent and color. After spending thousands of dollars I realized that are better products at less of a price such as meguiars and 3d without the ridiculous labeling
I refuse to buy any chemical guys because of their annoying marketing and product line. Seems like a bunch of hipsters just trying to squeeze every penny out of the detailing market. Are they providing any value? If they went bankrupt tomorrow would we loose anything?
I use Mother California gold for my hard wax, then I use blacklight on my 2016 silverado and 2017 cadillac xt5.... literally looks flawless after, I also use mothers mag and aluminum polish for the metal accents.
So 3 years later we see msds on website for california requirements. Black light is polymers, carnauba, gloss enhancers plus optical brightness..... And some DME for light abrasive / polishing. Based on that it's basically like Meguiars ultimate wax, gold glass and polish all in one.
Thank you. My father passed away. Im the only child so i go to his home and going through his things. Well, chemical guys got him. He has more crap that i brought home and i am so confused with all this crap. So much of the same thing. I dont know what to do. Omg.

I need one of those t-shirts. I checked your website and you don't have a link for merchandise. Can you send me one to Alabama? :)
I’m sure the black light product is in other of their products in different scents and color. I remember when I first started I grabbed a bunch of their products and one guy was like “dude do you know you have practically the same products just different labels?”
If you guys don't know what a Glaze is....then you better not be professionally detailing cars.
Product tsunami on (to mix metaphors) steroids. Can't wait for demo and part 2. Possibly an HD-Speed type attempt by CG. Stay with this Darren.
i tried adams polish, chemical guys, anglewax. out of the three. anglewax beats them all.
Man you are right! They have too many products with the same intentions.
I was frustrated and I went with the three basic 3m finesse products simple blue cap for final polish black for swirl remover and white for compound.
Its a Glaze???
Dude it's a glaze.. more like you are confusing yourself
