In this video we go over the Converse All Star BB Prototype CX, a solid mid top performer in my opinion.
Cushioning is its strongest aspect, with the CX foam giving you nice compression and responsiveness. Traction works best on a clean court, and dust pick up can be an issue if you normally play on a dusty setting. The fit can also be a little bit tricky, since the toe box width is on the narrower side but heel slippage is a concern. I would still suggest going true to size for most people, but those with much wider feet may want to avoid these. Stability is decent, the impact protection is very good with the CX foam.

Converse is hitting these days with this shoe and the shift. Just wish they'd fix the sizing. I really love their casual shoes too.
Yup agreed sizing can be tricky with their performance models.
I was looking around for the part 3 days to find a replacement for my recently trashed basketball shoes. I tried them all, and read all reviews.
Then i decided to buy this pair... stable, stylish, new, zoom front, i have very wide feet and this fits me well.. the white fabric changes color like a chameleon when exposed to uv light, then goes back to its original white color in 2 seconds after leaving the lighted area.. a magical functional basketball and casual shoes! I'm now at peace.

The inconsistent traction concerns me as I play on a rubber surface and a brand new hardwood floor.
🙏🙏 Yeah they’re really best off on clean courts, and inconsistency is a little bit of a problem… Still a solid shoe overall tho
Man Converse was king in the 90 s I remember the best ones being the larry johnson s aero jam the rodmans and the latrell sprewell that I bought for 40 dollars back in the day every holiday there was Sports Authority making huge sales

But since I have shoes and no money to buy another pair I’ll pass on them.
And we play on a more dusty court so wouldn’t like the traction since the traction is the most important aspect of a shoe for me.

Yeah a good thing. So they are very different shoes, BB Shift is super low to the ground while these are much more elevated. So it depends on what you prefer, I like the BB Shift better cause I love playing in Kobe’s.

Hey! Umm haven’t had a green pair lately now that you mention it. Only some colorways with a little bit of green on it like the Zoom Freak 4, PG 6 Mint, the army green Harden Vol. 6 with a thin mesh upper is one that I really want to get though and they might be even better since they’re more breathable.
They are all fire! I wish they'd drop the Way of Wade 10 in their olivine green colour.

Size up? In Converse x Chinatown market They come in leather a little bigger and I have the 11, but the Nike is 11'5, do you think I should order the 11'5?
So I actually went down a half size from my true size as mentioned. No need to size up in my opinion, TTS should be good if you don’t like a snug fit.
@@TommyLiu4 ok, so it is that Converse is a bit big, they told me about this model that the rubber on the back of the shoe ate part of it, and they said that it was better to order one more number, but if you say that the normal one from Converse ok, thanks bro.
@@manuelofiuco4660 This shoe is slightly narrow and has a snug fit in general. So keep that in mind, I just think if you size up heel slippage might be an issue. Cheers man!

Slightly narrower than average, snug toe box fit so definitely not so much a wide shoe.
I play in outdoor courts and I bought this shoe can this shoe perform well outdoors?
I’ve never used these outdoors, but I’m guessing that it’s probably not the best option. Traction on dust was not good and the outsole isn’t very durable.

Hey man, I personally prefer the low to the ground feel of the BB Shift that almost performs like a pair of Kobe’s. These have a much more elevated court feel.

I bought mine from Footlocker, but they should also be available on the Converse website, the colorways might be different based on your location.

They’re very different shoes actually. The BB Shift is extremely low to the ground, and these have an elevated court feel. So it comes down to what you prefer, I’d personally take the BB Shift if I have to pick one.
@@TommyLiu4 thanks and is the zoom turbo unit on the shifts extra thick like in the kyrie inifinitys bc i honestly didnt like how it was on the kyries and does the outsole squeak?
