- Beware of buying any fragrance from second hand sites, I took a chance and knew it was risky but here’s my fake Miss Dior Cherie. I show you the things to check BEFORE buying, if the images don’t show these points then contact the seller for better images. I spotted another anomaly after filming, the base of the bottle has a clear dog tooth design, the real version has some frosted parts in the pattern,

I was going to guess the middle one because of the transparent bow on the lid, but I'm not familiar with Miss Dior. X

So glad you got a refund. I recently bought a vintage bottle of Poison edt on EBay. I was really nervous it would turn out to be fake I turned to UA-cam and did lots of research on signs to look for. Luckily it was genuine, but there are so many opportunists out there

Oh dear, that’s annoying ... it’s quite difficult to tell fakes apart from the genuine product if you don’t know what you’re looking for, so this video is certainly helpful. No batch code should definitely be a red flag, but I don’t think I have ever actively looked for one. This video is really important for all those bargain hunters out there. And yes, if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t that good a deal.

I still wouldn't recommend buying from sellers who can't provide proof of authenticity. In my country it's very common that fakers buy (or take out of the garbage) *original* bottles and refill them with whatever... then they sell those as 'testers'.
Edit - I just remembered something else: sometimes they decant from a third to a half of an original perfume and refill the bottle with alcohol or, if you're lucky, with perfume base. That way they take 4 bottles out of 3.
It's terribly annoying, but fakes are all around the world, let's be careful. xx

Ouch, I'm so sorry you had to go through that! It's so easy to get fooled when one is not familiar with what the originals looks like. I am curious though the bottle with the plastic frosted ribbon on the cap, I've not seen a Miss Dior Cherie EDP with that type of cap and ribbon before.
It’s a tester of the 2008 version which I suspect is reformulated as it’s not identical to the 2005 version. My bottles batch code dates it 2009.

This is so sad, for me this is the second time that I got a fake Miss Dior Cherie, around 280€ in fake perfumes 💔 And ofc I didn't get back any cent back, just horrible! I hope You can get at least the money back, and great video. 💐

I purchased a bottle from Mercari and everything you said about it being fake was - label was off, no writings on back of label, no etching of batch code, no CD on both atomizer and cap and the scent disappeared in minutes! Ugh, how sad! Soon as I finished your video, I went ahead with the refund process. Great video!!!

Problem is that Dior has changed formula and even colours of box and labels over the time, it makes it more difficult to spot the fakes. Because if they changed so much who is to tell they haven’t decided to change such small detail as label size 🤷🏻♀️

Thank goodness you got your money back. I think most perfume lovers have been in your shoes, I know I have. I bought a bottle of vintage Stella McCartney a few years back and when I received it, it was clearly a fake. It had absolutely no smell and the bottle was wrong. I also got my money back, eBay is a gamble but there are very limited places you can source vintage perfumes. 🤷♀️
Yes it’s so annoying but at least EBay covers you, it’s the people who don’t even realise they’ve been scammed I feel for, they will quite possibly think the genuine article is crap because they don’t know they’re using a fake. Not good for the brand or the consumer.
Thank you so much for this I was able to see that the bottle I have is authentic, I just do not know if I have the 2012 or the 2017 of Miss Dior EDP since I have never purchased this fragrance before I have no real way of knowing the difference in the scents. But all and all I'm very happy that the bottle I have is real. Thanks again 😍

Eek! So sorry you had to go through that, even though your spidey sense went off even before you ordered. I've only bought one fragrance on e-Bay and although I think it was real, I also think that the fragrance had gone off. Because it was unopened and had cellophane, I don't think the buyer knew so I took the loss on that one. Thanks for the video because it will be helpful to others.

I think for me EBay is essential for tracking down discontinued stuff like My Insolence etc but you do have to be careful. I’ve been refunded now so it’s all good. 💜💜

I recently bought off Mercari Guerlain Insolence, 3.4 oz. for $60.00, it was a fake, and like your Miss Cherie , was missing the fine details on the label, bottle, and no batch code. When I contacted the seller, her response was, this is not fake, it doesn't get much better than this. To your point, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is.

They quit making it in 2011 so most likely all fake now.
Where did you buy the real 2011 version? I hate the way the new versions of this smell.
I got a fake Jo Malone. That was my first fake and I was able to get my money back. I wasn't as lucky with my byredo purchase. And I also got a fake Memo and I was able to get my money back. (Looked really close this one and was sold not really cheaper).
So I'm quite watchful now that I know that there are so many counterfeits out there.

I wish I could smell the original. I bought EdenPerfumes dupe. It smells nice but I feel it could be better. 🙈
That is my one dread and that is buying a fake fragrance. I have bought a fake Cherry Chau hair ornament and the seller was quite rude. Pleased to say eBay resolved it for me.

It's just sad that someone can happily sell a fake, acknowledge it's a fake yet be unwilling to refund for it, perhaps they are desperate for cash but dishonesty is not the way.
Well so sorry for that experience but thanks bc it helped me to spot if mine was real or not ,(I requested it as a gift from my father and didn't know where he got it from)and it is real lmao♥︎.

I bought a chanel perfume from their boutique and had to return it the next day because the label wasn't placed right. It was noticeably messed up and looked like someone covered the actual label with another one. I tried to make my peace with it but I spent alot of money on their les exclusives line.
When I took it back the follwoing day the reps all gathered around it looking very puzzled. So I swapped for another one and I opened the box in front of them the label was good this time, so relieved i left with it.
This label thing just triggered that memory. Sometimes a messed up label is the fault of the company and doesn't mean it's a fake on its own. But obviously this miss dior cherie has all sorts of red flags as you pointed out.
Urine? WTF. Windex too? 😠. We fragheads know if something we love is "not the real thing" but imagine inexperienced initiates getting scammed by unscrupulous sellers. I know on Amazon there are so many skincare brands watered down or expired. EBay usually is good with perfumes because the sellers rely on 100% feedback. Apparently this seller doesn't give af that she's ripping off people. Laser printers etc like you said there are red flags. I'm sorry Claire, even though you didn't pay an exorbitant price doesn't make it less of a problem. Shame on all scammers👎.....

I bought a fake miss dior cherie the other day it was sealed in its box and the box has an embossed batch code. Took the bottle out and there’s no batch code and no text on the reverse of the label (2009 version) I’m gutted! Sending it back but I never thought there would be a batch code embossed into the box of a fake perfume. 😅

I’ve just bought a fake Miss Dior Cherie from eBay and have asked for a refund. There was no batch code on the back and the bottle has so many manufacturing flaws, there’s no way it would pass Dior’s quality control!
