“Why are your ramps so much”? Umm I dunno, everytime I design and price out new materials to DIY something similar it’s definitely not that much cheaper so I am often surprised you can sell the ramps as cheap as you do. That’s not even taking into account labor.
Exactly. I bought one ramp from Keen then used that to sort of cost out making my own. The difference in cost was not enough to make me want to run around town tracking down the metal stuff.
The one and only time i broke a bone skating was one of those plastic ramps sliding out...straight to broken wrist. Currently saving up for a qp from keen
Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Those things are seriously death traps. Shoot us an email when you're ready to order and we'll shoot ya a little discount code
Nice done, educational and rational, no bias ! All the things u mentioned make perfect sense… one thing. maybe to think about: you could place like these L metals at the corner, i mean angle iron ?! so u can grind/slide it sideways…even its not long, sounds fun
You take pride in your craft and kicker that’s for sure. I was so tense watching you put your hand between the bumper and kicker with the van parked on it after hearing those cracks… shows quality tho!
I remember skating those little plastic kickers back in the early 2000’s. Those things are absolutely terrifying to skate after about a week. The front edge bends, they slide if you don’t hit it just right, and they’re way too short. You’re kicker actually isn’t badly priced for those no able to build their own at home. 👊🏻👊🏻
Transferred from the Amazon skateboard to Keen Skateboards might be really different than the other companies from sponsorships to developing into a great business and earning enough to have enough money for getting paid of a good sponsorship company!
My city made a little skatepaza completely out of keenramps obstacles, at first they only got like 3 obstacles 💀💀💀, but now they've said more are on the way!
Their ramp prices are more than exceptional. I looked into building the same ramp they have and the cost was pretty close. Then I said well, I can do it BUT what’s my time worth to me. To do a great job would take a lot of time. If you consider I don’t do it everyday. I don’t even do it every year. Yeah their ramps are great, good price. I was shocked to see financing options. That’s a big thing for a lot of people. We’ll I believe I saw financing options when I was shopping.
The curb and ledge covers are a good idea, but have you guys got one of those ramps made to use for getting up curbs like what most skaters use road signs for? My friends had one and it was a blast to skate like a wedge ramp instead of just making it so you didn't have to Ollie up to hit something. Keen ramps biggest contribution to skateboarding is the price. It forces you to learn how to build your own shit lol. But for real, No need to explain the price, everything was expensive before the pandemic. Remember that company Koston rode for, ramp logic? It was outrageously expensive. Everything was made from steel and another material I can't remember what it was. Everything they made was incredible, especially their ledges which came in two lengths and were adjustable as well as their wedge and kicker, they were heavy as hell and crazy expensive even roughly twenty years ago. Wedge ramps are my favorite, I've never really enjoyed kickers for whatever reason. While I can't afford to do anything other than make my own, I love what you do and keep it up. Gives me ideas.
Gotta say, way too conservative with the stress test on the keen kicker.. definitely coulda thrown one on the other side and changed the vans oil😂 gotta show off, don’t be scared lol you have an amazing design
The plastic ramps were great for two reasons, 1. I am from the Midwest, we have lots of rain and snow. So you could leave them out and they would be fine. 2. They were very cheap, my parents had no qualms about buying them. That being said, they are fucking death traps. Front lip bends up, they slide if you have any speed, not much versatility.
Hands down, one of the best business owners around.
Appreciate the praise! Thanks for watching
Who dare doubt the Keen Ramps? All know they are the beast. I shall have a Keen Mini one day.
😁hope to have ya as a customer sooner than later!
Got my corduroy keen ramps hat today! Super nice definitely my new daily hat

Thanks dude! Little cracks you were hearing were just the underlying ply. Wasn't sweating it one bit. Thanks for watching!

Feel the exact same! The design was pretty cool, just not safe or stable
What do you think about oc ramp
this guy loves talking about how good his ramps are
Yup, that's his job with the last name Keen and all
Welcome to the wonderful world of marketing, thank you for joining us 🙌

There really is no comparison in those two. Better quality obviously better ramp hows it compared to a fresh park ramp.

I would t recommend skating with the metal end of the ramp facing your jugular... Hit one rock and you getting decapitated bro lol
Bruhhhhh your kicker is 214 $ before tax and shipping??? What a RIPOFF 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Anyone could build the same thing for 50$ or less!
Lmao who named this vid
