Thank you 💛! You can adapt to your taste but I often add: black tea leaves, slice of fresh ginger, star anise, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods (lightly crushed), black pepper and cloves. You can adjust the quantities according to your taste and the amount of chai you're making 😊

Welcome back! I'm glad you're feeling better. I was knocked out with Covid at the beginning of the year and kept telling myself I should accomplish things around the house while I was home from work. Then I realized how hard I was trying to push myself when I had no energy and felt awful. After all these years, I finally appreciate being sick because my body is forcing me to stop doing, doing, doing and get some rest for once. Don't worry about your momentum. It's only February, which is one of the hardest times of the year. You'll get back on track. :) Your meals looked delicious, especially your chicken soup!

Asian spice chai recipe follows: T mug medium size + freshly ground pepper )to taste) + four cloves + finely sliced or grated ginger (quarter t spoon) with t bag (masala t bag would b super for added zing) + water .... Heat in microwave for 90secs .... Add almond milk & sugar to taste (could be jaggery: that would be an acquired taste) .... Heat for 15secs more : your health chai is ready Health tip : I add zero sugar horlicks instead of milk .... Tastes yummm!

My husband and I both had that horrible flu in January so I know exactly how you felt. The cough went on for about 3 weeks and we kept having days of feeling under the weather for a while after.
When I'm unwell, a big mug of hot water with a half a lemon squeezed into it, several times a day. Sometimes at night, a small mug of hot water with a big splash of whiskey and a spoon of local raw honey mixed in. The whiskey helps me sleep and the raw honey is supposed to have anti-oxidants.
