I sometimes wonder what war Veteran's think of the state of our country now.
It makes my piss boil seeing how some of you were treated after the war. Especially seeing Veteran's like you on the street homeless, suffering from PTSD.

@@British-Dragon-Simulations What's even worse is the prison population of vets! They are SUPPOSED to get access to certain services, but no one is counting how many are vets! I've been reading books on the subject of the Falklands war for the last 2 months what with the anniversary and all - Harrier 809 and Sea Harrier over the Falklands being among 2 of the best IMO. GREAT VIDEO Cap, what effort you put into this, well done that was. Very well done in fact. The Argie pilots indeed were skillful and courageous, and of course the British pilots as well, considering what they had to work with in terms of numbers, an incredible showing of the capability of the little SHAR and RAF Harrier too. The SHAR especially though, what an extremely flexible and capable fighter it turned out to be, operating in sea conditions no other naval carrier could have including the USN CVNs back then. Anyhow, well done again Cap, you really outdid yourself with this one, and it'll be living on in my bookmarks.

@@andreartymiuk in the book "Amphibious assault Falklands" written by the officers who planned and commanded the assault they explain that the rapier placement was done using a computer program. This used the topography of the area to workout the best sites for Rapier coverage. The problem was the program assumed the Attacker would be targeting land targets and not the shipping, so the placement wasn't sufficient. Also in the haste to load the ships in the uk, some vital calibration equipment for Rapier was left behind on the dockside!! Woodward wanted his most of his frigates to return to the main task force at the end of the first day, but Rapier was not ready to defend the anchorage. Finally the ships radars intefered with the Rapier search radar, this had 2 effects, Rapier had a simple indicator system using lights that pointed in the direction of a incoming aircraft so the optical sight could be slewed. 2nd it provided an "in range" cue to allow firing at maximum range. Nether of these worked because of the interference.

Do you benefit in some way from the British equity, land or resources there? The war was totally unnecessary and both countries were wrong. I say the Brits were far more foolish for deploying their entire naval fleet 8000 miles almost half way around the globe to protect that island. Cap this is a brilliant piece of work. This takes me back to the news coverage in the US. It was abysmal as one might expect. They covered it like a horse race, with running tallies of the dead on both sides. I think US news networks hated the idea of honor, victory and defeat, they just wanted carnage and ratings.

Very well done with the assets you have. That was definitely the kind of views we had on the day, my ship, Antrim, is in the middle of the 3 at 6:03. I watched my best friend's ship burn, Ardent. He was one of the lucky ones to return home. Also, much respect for the pilots who knew they were flying into hell in San Carlos, I speak with one occasionally online.

Amazing job Reaper! It talks really well from you when you mentioned both names of the island, with the same respect. I really hope this map could join a bit more younger generations of british and argentines. This community is very passionate about this conflict and there are many guys with lots of knowledge that will bring to the table awesome campaigns and missions. Lets see what the future prepares for this map
