@fromoutofstate9591 Well everybody's gonna have a different opinion on how they should do the 2nd game. If they really cared about money, most people are talking about the continuation of the 1st one and only a few of you are talking about Voldermort. I personally like customizing and playing as my own character with a new storyline, just wish the writing was better
They won’t. There’ll be Easter eggs and references. Perhaps a character in their younger days or something. But they wouldn’t set it in the same time as Harry Potter.
ok, very unpopular opinion here: How about we leave Harry Potter and Voldemort alone and we focus in writing good, new stories in this universe? Why do you always feel to cling to the nostalgia and chew the same thing over and over and over and over again?? There are infinite possibilities and most of you want to hear the same stories in the books and movies. the same content we consumed 100 times already....
Harry Potter is the story of Harry Potter. Until JK Rowling writes another book that will always be the case. If you don't like it do not play the Harry Potter game.
@@espo221b We followed the amazing story of Harry Potter from his childhood until his adulthood + cursed child. What more do you want? Think about Dune or LOTR universes, they go forward everytime, they are not stuck with the "Chosen one" in later books. How much do you want to milk this... Imagine there is a new Avengers movie with the same heroes and same villain. It basically minimizes the events of all previous movies. MOVE ON
morality system is all i can ask for seeing that u end the first game as being evil or good it makes sense to start u off were u left off in first game if u chose evil or good would be a great interactive way to get the player more immersed
@zacharycunningham7669 Even that would be cool. I'd just like them to give us that freedom to choose how we'd like to play the game. Even if it's only the options we mentioned or even 1 where you can lean more towards the dark side while still being a "good" guy. Kinda like a vigilante.
Two things that I feel like would kinda contradict each other is having the story be connected to the show *and* having meaningful decisions, because meaningful decisions would mean branching paths and multiple endings but I don't think you could really do that if you're planning on relating those two stories to each other, because for that to work they would have to choose which story path they consider canon and I feel like that would take away a lot of the impact or meaning behind those decisions + that could lead to some confusion in the show like "what? Why is that person still alive? I thought I killed them in HL2" or something along those lines
Hopefully Hogwarts Legacy 2 has Azkaban island Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley and maybe even the Chamber of Secrets cause there are ways to use it without breaking any lore
It makes sense. Dumbledore was born in 1881. So he could be 17 to 19. Either a student or a graduate. And it gives a connection to HBO series. As he was one of the most powerful wizards of all times. He could very well known about ancient magic....who knows??? Maybe it explains why he was also very powerful.
@@SashGirl34 I believe the game is set in 1890 so Dumbledore would be starting his first year in our 7th year. Dumbledore seems to have a great understanding of ancient and unseen magic (such as love) in the main series, this could possibly be where he starts to learn it
@@lewismarriott5142 I know I did it later. So my math more likely was off. As I was trying to think about it....but I know he would be a first or second year. I would absolutely love to see the wizarding world war or early day order of the phoenix story in howgwarts legacy or even as its own free roam hp game! There’s so much opportunity for amazing story lines in the wizarding world for legacy 2
Even better, we follow our character as an adult, the new keeper of ancient magic. We witness voldemorts first rise to power. We want to intervene, but we worry about what will happen if the secret gets out. Still, we know of the prophecy and so tell lily and James potter, and maybe the long bottoms, about how to harness a more basic form of ancient magic-this is how Harry lives through avada kedavra. However, to get to lily we have to fight through death eaters, find out about the prophecy, get pettigrew to tell us where they live, and get there before Voldemort. All while keeping ancient magic secret from Voldemort and the order, who are both looking for the deathly hallows-objects imbued with ancient magic.
@@djw7141 I like your spirit and definitely believe that our character being the one to inform Lily about the Avada Kedavra protection would be a nice touch... though I think you might be a little unrealistic in the exact way it goes about.
Honestly i feel like they should have continued the first game story. Sebastian secretly learns wandless mind control and posesses ominus to do a reign of terror that we have to fight. so from his prison to control another to take his revenge only to find out Sebastian learned of the truth and found a way to cure ann and we eliminate his puppet to find out Sebastian was right then the next game could be us trying to cure ann after finding out that Sebastian had foundva real cure and we must cure ann.
Tbh without School Rules like in Bully, the gameplay is rather mid outside the missions. I enjoy being able to RP-ing as Hogwarts Student, having to attend lessons and follow a timetable, and only breaking it for specific reasons. If they gonna do it like current Hogwarts Legacy, then they better make it storyline-based game and not open world rpg.
I honestly think that now that the Fantastic Beasts franchise has been discontinued, they could probably tell the story of Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the next game.
Poor Fantastic Beasts. What a mess. Rowling should’ve just written more books and let someone else adapt them for the screen like before. The FB plots are so hard to understand.
They’re going to cock this up aren’t they? 😭 I love the idea of the First Order…i’ve always wondered about the First Wizarding War. 😍 but that probably isn’t gonna happen.
Something that i want to be added to Hogwarts Legacy 2 is being able to learn the spell that Molly Weasley used to kill Bellatrix because that's a pretty cool spell and i'd also like to learn exactly what it was
The cancelled Triwizard Tournament is not an obvious connection to the series but it's still canon. We know when it happened and how it ended so the skeleton of the plot is there; devs and writers will have to fill in the blanks. And there is no Quidditch during that school year, the perfect excuse to avoid incorporating its complicated mechanics. Only thing is, they took place in the late 1700s so that might be confusing to tie into the HBO series unless they release the game close to the Goblet of Fire season- which also gives developers more time to perfect it. These are my two cents, will be fun going back to these when it comes out!
3:00 To be fair that could also mean that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could place in time of the first war and have them just use models of the cast members of the TV series. Like imagine actors for Minerva, Dumbledore etc - be the faces inside the game. Or maybe other related time period. They could also step on toes of Hogwarts Mystery and have us play as someone who is not Harry Potter, but a student or adult, who lives around the same time. Imagine playing as a literal teacher or Hogsmeade citizen.
I want romance options and I Hogsmeade Diagon alley Quidditch And I want to experience The Hogwarts Express and wizards chest and I want there to be factions to join throughout the Harry Potter universe
They said they want it to correspond with the show, but that doesn't mean that the story would be connected, just means they want it to come out at the same time.
I hope so too! I mean, it would be really useless if they just leave the story. It has so much potential, alone the backstory of MC. That makes also more sense as the Potter hype would be high and more would buy it. At least I hope so, anything else would be kind of sad and could put people off...
Oh my goodness!!! I love your idea of the first order but interact with the first order as your own insert. I would love that more than hanging with the trio.
I feel like this should be more its own thing. A different series of Hogwarts games and they should also be building a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy that is actually a sequel. We had such a good story in that. How are they going to justify not giving us a first year a second time?
I think they mean that we're going to meet some characters from the main saga, maybe even play as them. The sequel doesn't have to span a year again. We can experience the game from Dumbledore's perspective from his school years to foundation of the Order for example and meet along the way Tom Riddle, Gellert Grindelwald, Newt Scamander and much more adult wizards from the Harry Potter book series.
I like the idea of playing during the First War, but I’m also hoping for a look into the origins of the Castle and if Rowena was one of those people who could use ancient magic!
I just dont want "the harry potter books" as a game anymore. So I hope it is around somewhere in the 1900... so they can show us an older Ominis and Sebastian... but maybe a really young mad eye moody or something?
It’s kinda crazy that they created these storylines BRAND NEW for hogwarts legacy and now? They plan on just dropping that content all together and moving on ?
I don't like the idea the using the dark arts forces you down the path of death eater. I kind of like the concept of anti-hero if that's the case. Willing to use dark arts to kill villains but not be evil myself or a death eater. Kind of my way of showing the world dark arts can be used and not feared.
@@xpstudios4183well for one the mobile game Hogwarts mystery lets you go on hogsmeade dates so what’s your point. Why can’t my character find love like the main story
This is how I see things when it comes to the killing curse. To be fair, San Bakar used the killing curse in one of the keepers' memories (on a certain someone). Using it doesn't necessarily mean you'll become a death eater. I do agree that there should be consequences. It all depends on the path of that character.
They could tell the story similar to how it was done in the War in the North LOTR game. That whole game was technically a side-story and played out behind the scenes. The heroes can't be on all fronts, so they have allies who confront the enemies they don't have time for. If done that way, the character in Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be in school at the same time as Harry, but does things to help Harry in his fight against Voldemort behind the scenes. They'd be an unsung hero, but there's a lot of room there. The books made it clear that there were several groups resisting Voldemort after his rise to power and we know essentially nothing about most of them.
Instead of a remake of the Harry Potter stories, it would be awesome to have a TV Series of the first wizarding war. It would be pretty straightforward to write scripts for that as it can be wide open to interpretation. But it could go for a few seasons easily.
I'm pretty sure the game will continue in 1891 in year 6 with the same character, and some story stuff will bleed into the series as Harry, Ron and Hermione explore Hogwarts and maybe find out some stuff that happens in Game 2.
It would be great if this would be prequel to Harry Potter where we are running with young Harrys parents. I think this could get us more involvement with them than original story.
I'd like it to turn out to be a direct sequel, having the show pulling lore from the new game setting. Like history of subjects happening between the two.
B) A DLC of the tournament in single player mode where if you complete the game 100%, it could be like an after credits easter egg mode where you have the option to replay it in free roam/NG+
Imagine a game called "Mad Eye", which would be like a thriller/horror/assassin/stealth-action-game where you play mad eye during and/or after Voldemorts time.
The first order game idea is AMAZING. And you can choose to make your character join the order or Voldys ranks. Or maybe an option to be like snape and be a double agent…. Maybe depending on what kind of magic you want to specialize in or balance in….. Amazing idea.
It would be cool to partake in The Triwizard Tournament either in a DLC or in Hogwarts Legacy 2. It would expand the world more just like it did in The Goblet of Fire. We could befriend foreign classmates, go through the three trials, etc. But I can't wait either way!
I would LOVE a storyline that follows the first order idea. it would be so cool to get to choose between the 2 sides and then get to replay for the other one.... in my opinion it doubles the playtime and makes the game just that bit more mysterious wondering what the other side has to offer.. ik the houses have a different quest associated with each bu the differences arnt much
but then again I am only half way through the game rn and haven't seen the ending yet.. I see a lot of comments about wanting a continuation of the game and unanswered questions so maybe my idea will change when I finish It :)
Ive heard to many problematic news about the HBO series (those working on it not even having read the books for fricks sake and souch!!!) so I realy dont hope its gona be connected to it......
I agree with the consequence of using unforgivable curses should be a thing, but maybe in a Karma way like you have in RDR2. And depending on the karma you get different answers and dialouges.
I can't wait!! I'm curious as to what they exactly mean by the game and new TV show coinciding together. My first assumption is that, for example, if the current storyline of HL starts when our character is in their 7th year, then Dumbledore should be a 1st year. But we'll see!
I hope they make it so your character can get into a relationship with another character. I also hope that you can choose your own pronouns. If someone wants to go by "them/they" that's fine, but if I want to go by she/her, that should also be allowed.
I honestly want it to be like mass effect in a sense where you can continue the character and choices you made in the first game but if you can have the option to start from scratch. I still want to become a true dark wizard though lol
I would love to have a direct sequel to the first game as there are so many unanswered questions. For example, we don't know of Anne's fate or what path Sebastion is going to go down. Even so, if it is possibly centered around the First Order, what would that make of our MC in the first game? It's such a massive time jump, rather than just have it like a year or so.
What I took from this was that HL2 would take place in the same years as the HP storyline and likely have show tie ins(DLC) to the rebooted franchise show.
It was irritating to go through the Potronus quiz through WB just to never cast the spell. I want a direct sequel, or a massive DLC for years 6 and 7 for our characters.
Many want more classroom play time, but some may consider it to be too boring for an exploratory RPG. Opinion: For both original and sequel, use DLC for both additional classroom time and other spells. It would satisfy those who want that while offering option for those to ignore.
I’d just be happy with some DLC; dementors and learning the patronus charm, quidditch, how to become an animagi, some updated side quests, some updated combat and enemies… that would do for now. But I’m excited for a sequel too and think your idea of The First Order is really cool! I’d like more morality choices and consequences and I enjoyed the completely unconnected story but it would be cool to work it into the existing story too. I’d like a direct sequel though, my same character working through the NEWT years while still trying to help Anne and Sebastian (depending on what your choice was at the end).
Honestly i want what we doing the main story to affect everything else around us. Because nothing we did in the main story or side quest affected what was going on in the world.

Not really the DADA professor's curse is easier than one would think or really about as powerful an enchantment as the unbreakable vow.
I would love The First Rise of Voldermort. I think that would be awesome.
heck yes, meeting teen Lucious and other death eaters
I'm saying. and "The First Order" is such a vibe
but then the timelines wouldn’t match
This is what they should have done but no, money is more important than quality
@fromoutofstate9591 Well everybody's gonna have a different opinion on how they should do the 2nd game. If they really cared about money, most people are talking about the continuation of the 1st one and only a few of you are talking about Voldermort. I personally like customizing and playing as my own character with a new storyline, just wish the writing was better
thats the worst thing they could do, it should be a direct sequel to the first hogwarts legacy..
They won’t. There’ll be Easter eggs and references. Perhaps a character in their younger days or something. But they wouldn’t set it in the same time as Harry Potter.
or their cooking something. I think they already put that in consideration before going ahead with production
ok, very unpopular opinion here:
How about we leave Harry Potter and Voldemort alone and we focus in writing good, new stories in this universe?
MOVE ON
Then you will note Hogwarts legacy isn't called Harry Potter and the .... Etc.@@espo221b
morality system is all i can ask for seeing that u end the first game as being evil or good it makes sense to start u off were u left off in first game if u chose evil or good would be a great interactive way to get the player more immersed
I hope they listen to fans
Imagine you could become a death eater or even contend with Voldemort as a dark lord. Would be an amazing game but I doubt that happens.
@@Ignornaceisntbliss Ah yes, the Dreaded, Third Option: "Screw Taking Sides, EVERYBODY IS MY ENEMY!!!" *Loud Maniacal Laughter Ensues*
I hope the connection to the series is just Dumbledore, I think dates wise, he starts at Hogwarts, two years after HL takes place.
I was sure the year the series is though.
And it would be cool to see our MC and others graduate. And you can choose what you want to become after Hogwarts.
I can imagine a young Dumbledore getting into some trouble. Just to be like the player too.
I would absolutely love to see the wizarding world war or early day order of the phoenix story in howgwarts legacy or even as its own free roam hp game! There’s so much opportunity for amazing story lines in the wizarding world for legacy 2
Yesss!
As long as all roads lead to Hogsmeade, I'll be happy.
Man I just want to fly my broom closer to Hogsmeade.
The first game was such a great start for a bigger story. I hope they continue as they were.
I just want spell wheels instead of constantly having to change my spell layouts to fit every random scenario. Think like Ratchet & Clank.
I want a game that tells the story of the founding four of Hogwarts
They’re going to cock this up aren’t they? 😭 I love the idea of the First Order…i’ve always wondered about the First Wizarding War. 😍 but that probably isn’t gonna happen.
That statement might have only meant that they won't do anything in HL 2 that would screwup the canon of the series.
It also could mean just a connection to it...that leads to the events. As it takes place long time before it.
Something that i want to be added to Hogwarts Legacy 2 is being able to learn the spell that Molly Weasley used to kill Bellatrix because that's a pretty cool spell and i'd also like to learn exactly what it was
wasnt it just the petrifying spell? she just didnt use her words. then used one of the blasting spells to shatter her?
The cancelled Triwizard Tournament is not an obvious connection to the series but it's still canon. We know when it happened and how it ended so the skeleton of the plot is there; devs and writers will have to fill in the blanks. And there is no Quidditch during that school year, the perfect excuse to avoid incorporating its complicated mechanics.
Only thing is, they took place in the late 1700s so that might be confusing to tie into the HBO series unless they release the game close to the Goblet of Fire season- which also gives developers more time to perfect it.
These are my two cents, will be fun going back to these when it comes out!
Dumbledore also makes a lot of sense.
I really hope this is the case
Oh my goodness!!! I love your idea of the first order but interact with the first order as your own insert. I would love that more than hanging with the trio.
I feel like this should be more its own thing. A different series of Hogwarts games and they should also be building a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy that is actually a sequel. We had such a good story in that. How are they going to justify not giving us a first year a second time?
having a chance to be a deatheater would be sick , like going down the darkside.
Would honestly love to see some of the other schools explored instead of "just" Hogwarts.
Wish it was a sequel to legacy wanted to see a young album dumbledore and grindelwald
No Dumbledore as a kid then. I wouldve loved to teach Dumbledore his first magic.
I just bought Hogwarts few days ago I’m barely 6 hrs in. I’m enjoying every second by the time I’m done with this game Hogwarts 2 will probably be out
You’ll have time to finish it before it’s out. It’ll release in like, 3 years from now.
The fact it’s tied into the HBO series and not a direct sequel is not good.
I think they should do a time skip to 7th year. More spells and there can be darker themes
How dare you say late 1900s 🤣 I have never felt so old
It’s kinda crazy that they created these storylines BRAND NEW for hogwarts legacy and now? They plan on just dropping that content all together and moving on ?
Unpopular Opinion: Give me some kind of Hogwarts MMO/GaaS type rpg
The quidditch arena needs to be an online space where people can go and see other, chat to them and play quidditch together
I don't like the idea the using the dark arts forces you down the path of death eater. I kind of like the concept of anti-hero if that's the case. Willing to use dark arts to kill villains but not be evil myself or a death eater. Kind of my way of showing the world dark arts can be used and not feared.
I hope they add romance and even better spells and and more customization options
Why would you want to romance a child?
@@xpstudios4183this is a story, you play as a teenager, not as yourself, so whats wrong
@@G8oo8N8the fact that you were more worried about "gay stuff" than the fact that the characters are minors speaks volumes about you as a person.
@@Karak971 Your mom.
@@xpstudios4183well for one the mobile game Hogwarts mystery lets you go on hogsmeade dates so what’s your point. Why can’t my character find love like the main story
If it does happen I want more spells, a longer game, an easier way to get around the castle and more brooms.
All I want is the ability to sit!
And want npcs we can interact with, and an actual school life
What for?
It would be great if this would be prequel to Harry Potter where we are running with young Harrys parents. I think this could get us more involvement with them than original story.
I think the Triwizard tournament could be a fun storyline. It's been said in the book that there have been attempts in the past to restart it.
I'm confused... Are we getting Hogwarts Legacy 2 or a DLC?
I think this would be a great opportunity to also tie in the Gaunt family. I wouldn’t mind a little more time with one of our favorite Slytherins.
We don't need quiddich?
How dare you
Allow us to become the villain (join voldemort?)
I'd like it to turn out to be a direct sequel, having the show pulling lore from the new game setting. Like history of subjects happening between the two.
hope they use the Hogwarts Legacy castle design for the HP series
B) A DLC of the tournament in single player mode where if you complete the game 100%, it could be like an after credits easter egg mode where you have the option to replay it in free roam/NG+
Imagine a game called "Mad Eye", which would be like a thriller/horror/assassin/stealth-action-game where you play mad eye during and/or after Voldemorts time.

"It's totally fine to just keep us in the classroom for a bit." Something that no gamer has ever said
I agree. They could do a lot in a magical classroom. That would be fun.
2:37 I hope not
They better put more different creatures and make that you can play different lore games
I honestly want it to be like mass effect in a sense where you can continue the character and choices you made in the first game but if you can have the option to start from scratch. I still want to become a true dark wizard though lol
I'm excited for the idea of the rise of power storyline and your decision about who to be loyal to, i hope that's what it is too
i hope they make hogwart mysteries as a hogwart legacy 2
It would be so sick if HL2 was like ps2 Bully , more turned into a regular school year with classes, tests, a hogwarts student simulator.
Is it still gonna be a live service game? I hope that they'll let us choose in the game if we want to play it in single player or multiplayer.
What I took from this was that HL2 would take place in the same years as the HP storyline and likely have show tie ins(DLC) to the rebooted franchise show.
All I need added to the new one is Co-op and different paths to a story so my choices somewhat matter.
no to the co-op.
You can use the killing curse without becoming a death eater in Harry Potter. The Orginal Order with Black everybody use the killing curse
i also want to mention i feel like their is so much replayability if their is the point system and drastic game change based off it
It was irritating to go through the Potronus quiz through WB just to never cast the spell.
That’s one possibility, but they could also work as optional timed (or non-timed) side quests like in the first game. Or random events.
I loved this game sooooo soooo much! I've completed it 9 times. I can't WAIT for the sequel
I want original story. Stop with harry and co.
Written by whom? WB? Lmao
Honestly i want what we doing the main story to affect everything else around us. Because nothing we did in the main story or side quest affected what was going on in the world.
Dang they need to continue working on Legacy one!! More updates more gameplay options and an online PVP option!!
