Japan is one of the most spiritual places on earth. Ghosts or supernatural events are common in both Japanese lore and real life so honestly the chances of it being supernatural are high. Also, from what I've read, ghosts feed off of energy and with there being 6 people getting scared and having high energy, the activity can definitely spike.
Yeah that’s right
It was the "priestess in black" she looks horrifying but is really kind. If you're fuckin with spiritual shit and don't know what you're really doing she is your protector. Which is why when you first see her in the vid she's on her knees preying. And when she was at the end of the hall. She wasn't looking at the boys. But something WE couldn't see.
Idk there are a lot and I mean a lot of spiritual stuff in Latin America… it been so bad that Aztecs were terrified of specific locations because there been forests completely forbidden. Same in Thailand and korea…
Especially at the end when all that glass stuff was thrown
oh it def did
I don't know what's scarier, if it were a ghost or it were a person. Just think about it, they sat there in that room, watching you guys. They stood there at the end of that hall, *behind* y'all, following you through the hotel. Thank God they didn't want anything more than to freak you guys out, they definitely had the upper hand.
a person is definitely worse, anything thats spiritual cant do shit to you unless you let it usually
If it were a spirit being it was probably some kind of Yokai
@@eliteshadowboii Not with Japan's spiritual beings. They can and WILL hunt you for sport. But what they captured is "the priestess in black" her job is to protect you when you start fuckin with spiritual shit and don't know what you're really doing.
@@Casual_Goof People were saying that the figure at the end of the video was Hanako-San, but last I heard, she doesn't stop at watching you, she drags you to hell.
@@_veloxity91 I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what spirit’s there with them, but I’m woefully uneducated in Yokai lore.

Eddie, just look at the bright side of this, if you plan to get kids, stories like this are perfect dad lore. Imagine the childrens reactions
Imagine there were two groups of people exploring the place at the same time, The Boys exploring, and another group of people. So one group hears the other faintly talking, so they get scared and run away, in turn, make a noise which scares the other group.
Isn’t that what happened tho? I thought they said there was another group there?😭
That's hilarious😭 but it's def someone trying to screw with em I think
honestly they should make this a regular thing where they get together and re-watch the scary places videos while telling us about stuff that happened
That’s actually a really good idea
@@musicalhearts2879 yeah that would be amazing! plus this experience scared all of them!
the disturbing part to me is that i feel like everyone had abandoned it like they were in a hurry
because why would they leave almost everything behind without bothering to reclaim it?
That's a really good point actually. Disturbing if you think about it but still a good point
And from what I think the boys heard from the locals that nothing weird happen in the hotel to me kinda made what Tuzzler said even more disturbing because if they left in such a hurry were they left money still in the cash register and everything else, then something really bad must’ve have happened to just have everybody working there just to leave in such a hurry
True but what could it be that you know, made the owners / workers run away and not get the things in that hotel? If it is something bad then there’s two rational options.
1. Maybe someone threatened them to leave that hotel or else something bad would happen to each one of them
Or
2. Something bad had actually happened, history that was never mentioned about that hotel and hidden so that everybody just didn’t talk about it again and forgot about it? I don’t know I’m just wondering.
Maybe an earthquake? A really bad flood?
Edit: ok i get it
They already said why
21:04 … Eddie may not realize sometimes the dread and uncertainty overwhelming him may have made him lose the ability to feel the negative energy with his ‘rational thought’ rather than thinking of it as a ‘supernatural experience’. It could be so much worse, let’s all hope it was just an “object” and not some thing preparing to scare the ever living balls out of The Boys
To be honest, I will ALWAYS be more afraid of people than the supernatural. I wouldn't sleep properly for months knowing that I'd walked past a room in an abandoned hotel without realizing someone was sitting in the bed just a few steps away.
The thought of someone quietly stalking me through 3 levels, with such stealth to the point they were able to move items entire floors without being noticed is genuinely terrifying.
I am thankful whoever was fucking with you guys had no truly malicious intent.
One thing i love is when Eddie reviews the scary videos he does with The Boys
Edit: didnt expect this to blow up so thanks

@@hanslubeck7728 and you kinda know it was a authentic ghost vid thing
We all do
The chances of it being either ghosts or locals fucking with you can be surprisingly 50/50 in Japan. Japan probably has some of the highest ghost activity I’ve ever heard of. Locals in Japan back in the day even have reported to authorities of seeing apparitions in broad daylight. But most of these ghosts can be linked to the 2011 Tsunami and even ghosts ranging all the way back from The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Lotta catastrophes for Japan which I guess is why paranormal activity is so frequent.
true
Good thinking, I was about to say that too. Japan has had so many things happen to it but since it’s stable, the people who died there just wanted to chill there. (Also I didn’t know that about Japan locals, bastards)
Since it's an island surrounded by water. And water is known to give spirits energy. It makes sense that japan is so haunted
Yeah, one things for sure.
Japan and New Orleans are the two MOST haunted places in my mind.
The Japanese were more aware of spirits so that’s why most the folk lore you hear is from Japanese and such
Eddie, you're actually a really good photographer! Most of your pictures are liminal spaces, and that's awesome!
The boys should definitely start doing these abandoned place videos more often I love them
I think the reason you didn't feel the same thing from the asylum while you here was because the hotel didn't have an extended history of pain and suffering surrounding it. Cause like you guys said then, the asylum had a lot of messed up individuals and people that were forced there for unnecessary reasons. In other words, you could've been feeling the combined dread of any other beings that were still stuck there
Honestly that would make allot of sense cause being spiritually connected to something or someone is the feelings from the other person the people that died in that hotel didn't go threw the pain that the people in the asylum did especially that kid and it's obvious that people from that Island wer not messing with them cause there are so many moments in there where you would see a full person not a shadow figure like the figure is that room sitting down you would see some noticeable skin the room isn't that dark because of the light so there definitely spirits in there
Does this extend to aushwitz, guantonoma bay, christmas island all that shit?
@@Vexgang948 I mean, probably. If paranormal activity is present in these places, that is - cause I’m not quite sure what exactly leads to the formation of haunted grounds. Heck, I don’t even remember if the boys said anyone died in this hotel
Or they could have set it all up in advance
@@YaBoiTheGrimReaper it's a mystery. But yeah, it's hard to tell if they were really people messing with them or not. It wasn't really scary. If not, the creepy ambience that the hotel has. It was simply unsettling.

@@stock_movie1875yk spreading false info is kinda bad. clearly wasn’t spirits and just people who live in there. they didn’t actually catch them because every single time they heard noises they bolted the other way. as someone who has studied the paranormal I am shocked with everything you guys caught on camera. When all of you were in the 3rd floor bathroom seeing the door get pulled shut like that implies it worked, you managed to summon Hanako-San, although Mully should not have tried to open the door because I've heard from some people that something bad could've happened. Also hearing things getting thrown means you've angered something. I will say that I am glad all of you got out of there otherwise it would've gotten worse. Things could've gotten physical, Or something could have attached to one of you. Although it is said that Japanese spirits are known to be very different from a normal one.

Eddie you’re a great photographer man! That hotel video was nuts!!
You'll find that in Japan alot of island residents tend to be very against foreigners but this isn't without reason, people lovveee to come to these islands and trash them especially Americans it can be a nightmare for us. You'll actually find most tagging or destruction of adandoned is by tourists plus most Japanese won't even come near these places, even the security guards which you probably missed sitting in a car overlooking and won't move unless needed it's hilarious talking to some of them.
Didn't grow up on a island but lived in Yokohama still do but even me an inland resident used to get stares lmao though I'll admit my country is extremely xenophobic at times. So yer.
But I'm glad you had a great time and seemed to be quite friendly and non destructive so I thank you for that ❤ please come back another time love people learning and exploring our culture.
P.s: I beg of you especially here in Japan but please wear a proper mask going in these buildings they're full of chemicals etc it's horrible.
P.s.s: please don't get involved with the cops, trust me they don't treat foreigners greatly it's mainly in small places but it's easy to put you on the books for there own credit I can't think the amount of times I've had to help out a tourist getting absolutely rushed and confused by the cops on purpose so they could fine him for spilling beer on another I hate to say it but they can be weirdly petty (?) If that'd the right word!
Edit: Oh right Japan has a huge homeless population so the probability of it being an actual person might be quite high lmao.
Lol there was definitely someone there 😭
@@sunset._.. yer when me and my sisters explored places inland atleast that where abandoned you'd usually meet one or two homeless people every few places we visited so I really do think it might be someone!
The thing is if it was a person, then they must've been startled, but that man looked like he was sitting and praying like for some demon or it was a demon in prayer idk
@@CuteCreeperYT Hmm, not technically true of course I think some maybe be startled but have you ever met a homeless person? They're usually very well set in there minds and it takes alot to scare those kinds of people of course not everyone is like that but idk in Japan I think the homeless see more shit figuratively and literally than anyone else.
But the position looks like he's just woken up in bed and staying still because he's probably wondering who's there and movement would give him away etc
But if it ain't a homeless person then I don't know could be editing, could be a trick if the light or could actually be a ghost honestly who knows the evidence isn't particularly 100% so it could be anything but I'm putting my bets on homeless person.
Honestly I'd rather it a ghost than a person, people can be way scarier especially if you're "invading" there personal space honestly wouldn't be surprised if they kept a a Gyuto, Tanto or Yanagiba wrapped in newspaper or a small pocket Higonokami especially if they're ex gang members you'll find alot of homeless are the elderly or just straight up punks/thugs/ex gang members who have been kicked out that's why I'm especially weary of abandoned places in Japan 😅
Or like you said maybe he's a cult person 🤷 I don't know to much of demonic cults in Japan, I don't know about community cults tho ugh

I've worked as a security guard for about 6 years and I've seen a few abandoned places like this, a school, an orphanage and a factory being among them.
I also felt the eerie feeling you've described, seeing things sat about on tables, notices and posters on walls from 20 years ago.
Names on filing cabinets for people who could be long dead for all I know, hard to describe it.
Best comparison I can think of is looking at someone who is sleeping vs someone who is dead, similar but totally different if that makes sense.

Hey eddie this reminded me of a school im my town that went abandoned in like 2014
From what I have seen of ghost videos from japan, their ghost are either very chill or very aggressive. Seems like you guys ran into the chill variety of ghosts there. 21:00 looks like someone sitting hunched over on the floor.
Plus it would make sense for Chill ghost to be there, I don't think there would be a list of fucked up events on that island, and most of the ghost were just people who died from health causes, or maybe a suicide
They woke up hanako-san who will drag you to hell. The sitting one is the black priestess a guardian spirit
Look at the right side there’s another shadow there could it be Hanoko-san?
from what i've experienced with japanese people, most are very kind hearted, so i could only imagine the spirits being kind hearted but also playful, i want to say that shadows popped up as in a way of following you guys because of their own curiousity, because in the 44:10 clip you can also see another one peaking its head on the left corner, but i also think that not all were kind, and that specific ones were angry for the tresspassing that happened, which is why unexplainable things happened

This is probably the first I've heard of someone getting denied in japan while having a translator with them. I know that a lot of people in Japan, especially in out of the way places like this, don't like foreigners and don't wanna deal with them, but very often the rejection comes down to being afraid of culture clashes and not being able to serve the foreigners probably so it usually gets resolved if you have a translator. I guess that's what can happen if you go to REALLY remote places. Pretty interesting, but also really sad
Another possible reason is because of COVID-19. That island was hit pretty hard by the virus and they only have one hospital. Unfortunately, the locals of these remote places believe that foreign tourists brought the virus to their homes.
We have a close family friend who goes to Japan quite often, she knows near perfect Japanese and she said that smaller areas like these islands and more closed off communities tend to be rude for various reasons. Some because of fear of culture clash, others because of prejudice, and then the few who just don’t like outsiders (anyone who doesn’t live in that community). It doesn’t bother her because she says it’s just “one of those things”
@@TheQueensGaurdDog good to know. I’ll remember that for when I finally get to go to Japan and has to plan out my trip. Not that there would be a lot of reasons to go to the more rural places on ones first time in Japan, but still good knowledge

When Eddie was talking about how he was more scared of the spiders, that's what a lot of people who deal with ghosts or go to haunted places do. (Myself included) You get so distracted by something else, or scared of something else, that whatever happening is not scary anymore. I have a ghost in my house who constantly does things and throws things, and at this point in time I don't get scared of it anymore but get annoyed as it's always when I'm doing something.
Maybe it just wants attention

I figured this is a joke but in case you are serious with all do respect don’t do that unless you want escalation
@@redacted9057 This is not a joke??? And huh?? How does that cause escalation?? I ignore the spirit, maybe sometimes ask it to stop. But it's not like I'm trying to ask for a fight. XD
@@lucid_elis5421 oh that’s what you mean. Yeah seances cause escalation, randomly telling it to stop doesn’t do much. If it’s a soul that’s tied to the place then a priest saying mass in the home would be enough to allow the spirit to finally rest. If it’s something else then a exorcism of place would need to happen before something bad happens. An exorcism of place could be easily done by a Catholic Exorcist. Just explain your situation to your local priest and hopefully he’ll put you in contact with an exorcist.
I find it interesting that Eddie didn’t realize that it looks like two people at the end of the hall in that one clip at the end of the vid while they were running to get out, cause as you can see, there’s one shadow figure in the middle, but If you look to the left of it, you can see another shadow that looks like a head peeking out from the corner
