Another great video my friend. I have to say, you done bette rthan I did. My second time plowing, I broke 2 shear bolts and folded the plow in half. It was interesting that I went on both sides of a big rock, and not down the middle. But she folded over like a tin can. The second pass going by that stone, it lifted the front end off the ground then popped off. That was how I folded the thing. I do miss farming. it was a part of my life for a long time. Have a gud un.
The only way to learn is to get out there and do it! When you mess up just fix it and learn from your mistakes. That sounds like a hell of a first time plowing, I bet it was a long ass day. I love farming and hope I’m able to have some part in it till the day I die! Hope you have a good one as well, thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@Volfarmer My granddad always taught me when I messed up, take a step back, and look at the big picture. Then regroup and get back at it. It didn't take us long to repair it, and I got right back at it. We only had three tractors that we used. A Farmall A, Super A, and an H. By the time I was old enough, we had moved on to just tending a 2 acre garden. My cousin had leased our fields, since he had bigger equiment.
@@Volfarmer Absolutely. There's an old gospel song that says We can learn a lot, if we take the time to listen, to older people. They have wisdom that we have yet to gain. So, every chance you get, stop and listen, and see what they have to say.
Great video, not many people plow anymore usually just see no till planting. Love to watch the dirt turn over! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, I love turning that dirt over. It’s one of my favorite things to do around the farm!

@@EdwardSimpson159 it is so cool to hear some of your family history, and how they went about farming. The old timers always know what’s best!
