Really enjoyed harvesting our food and getting it all prepared, quiet time in the garden.

Hello, My name is Jackie and the videos come to you from County Mayo in the West of Ireland.
Here I grow vegetables on part of 1.2 acres and the donkeys and goats enjoy the rest.
A lover of the outdoors, and being creative.
Other occasional videos may include trips out and my love of fishing.
Helen and I moved to Ireland from the UK in 2016.
We bought a cottage that needed significant love and attention after being left unlived in for more than ten years.
We have now created a beautiful place to live.
Life on the smallholding is of course an all-year-round ongoing job which I enjoy so much and do hope you will enjoy the videos.
Through the channel we have made some lifelong friends it is a fantastic community, it truly is !!
    Come and join us 📌

Thanks for sharing all your hard work! Our onions are about the same size as yours so that is interesting as we have been much drier on the East Coast. I know that beetroot is not a favourite in your household, but growing them for the first time this year and really happy! As for potatoes.... Trying to be a month more in self sufficiency this year to 7 months!!! Love the videos, love to you both and to your furry and feathered friends

Hi Ev, you’re doing fantastic in the garden , great isn’t it when there’s no need to go to the shops for potatoes and salads etc, I love the beetroot, actually need to harvest it and cook it off. Keep up all the hard work x

Wow, wow, wow! Amazing work Jackie and Helen. It's wonderful to see all that hard work and love bearing fruit. Is it possible to dehydrate in the poly tunnel rather than using the machine?

Hi Cal, lovely to hear from you , you could dry them in the tunnel I’m sure . Lovely to have a bit of heat Cal x

The onion powder is a fantastic idea. Thanks-I'm definitely going to steal that one!
How do you use elephant garlic. Can you roast it to make a paste or do you just use it like regular garlic? I imagine it would be amazing just crushed and raw... Mmmm
All the very best to you both and thank you so much for the catch up.
