Pre-runoff Spring Fishing

Each year spring slowly returns to the North Platte River valley. The rivers shed their ice, the snow line recedes, and green quickly replaces the brown landscape. Between mid April and early May the North Platte gives a sneak peak into the summer fishing season before the "the big melt" floods the rivers for two to three weeks. Wyoming weather in spring can quickly transition from blue-bird days into snow showers, but when water conditions are optimal, our guides make the most of it.
