God bless all who fought at Iwo Jima....
Amen.😢❤
Amazing--how many Japanese heroes I have met over the years of my long association with Japan, who fought bravely against American heroes like my dad and so many others. Now we are friends. I--married to a Japanese lady, with Japanese-American kids/grandkids, an unthinkable thing not so long ago that is now a reality. There is hope to be found in what was once such terrible tragedy. Thank you for sharing. CDR, US Navy Retired/Disabled Combat Vet. Associate Professor of Japanese language.
Imagine the movie ‘flags of our fathers’ and ‘letters from iwo jima’ played in the ceremony!
even tho they lost , he learned they honor
