Can this pattern be done in the round, if so it would make a beautiful purse. Thanks for sharing.
Here's my idea:
With white yarn, make a chain as wide as you want your bag in multiples of six and single crochet in each stitch across. Join red yarn and begin pattern as Sirin does for the first stitch but work in the front loop only until you reach the end of the chain. In the last stitch, work 2 double crochet in the front loop, turn your work and make 3 double crochet in the other loop of the same stitch to complete the shell. Continue working in pattern across the other side of the chain. Place 2 double crochet in the first single crochet to complete the first heart and join with a slip stitch to top of beginning chain 3.
With white yarn, work Sirin's pattern using the front loops only of the beginning chain around.
The rest of the pattern will will be worked around in the loops and stitches as she does, you'll just be meeting up with the other working yarn after each row instead of it being on the other end of your piece.
