The Beethoven is music I have been in love with since I was 18 and have even tried to play. A beautifully balanced performance holding attention from beginning to end. I also enjoyed your Brahms, lyrical and expressive. Inspiring.
It is known that the second, more relaxed theme at 9:20 is the first “divertissement” of the 24th fugue (869) from JS Bach's Wohltemperierte Clavier I. We heard it very clearly here.
The problem with playing the Beethoven first is that it tends to overshadow whatever follows. On the other hand, from the players' point of view, it is good to tackle it while fresh rather than at the end of a taxing recital.
Tuning is a complex matter of different soul expressions. There are many different 3rds and even more 2nds all part of the harmonic and subharmonic series! All are in tune if they are meant and felt!
@@Adi_Ivgi agreed! that is why most string quartets uses them very sparingly as they are notoriously risky. I have come to accept them being not in tune as I will also use them in my own works!
Enchanting!
Couldn’t watch when it went live.
Thank you, Tetzlaff Quartet.
Thank you for presenting such a treat for my ears! From a small town.

bach 24 Prelude and fugue is simply same repeat motive, overrated, that It's not finished music but fragmented collection
Cherny textbook worth of degree in classical period

The thing after the Beethoven was total sh*t!
Congrats
