Thank you for this!! I bought mine used, and it started acting funny and heating more than it had previously. It wasn’t clogged with fur but it did need oiling, and now it’s good as new! 🎉

I have a golden A5 single speed to groom my dog. Motor runs fine, blades reciprocate like normal but about 10 seconds after I start grooming, blades stop cutting. Motor still running and blades still moving but won’t cut and the blades are new…. I’ve cleaned and lubed but nothing helps.

Hello. A lot of customers get new blades sharpened out of the package bc they are not very sharp or sometimes even dull. Also you might need to clean the animal you are cutting bc dirt will dull the blade immediately. Oil all the time to prevent dirt grinding in the blade also. It could be also that you are not latching the blade all the way down and it is lift up a little and it stops moving or cutting.

Thank you for that. It was exactly what I was looking for. Although now I'm not sure if I feel , more or less intimidated taking this on. 🤔

How do you remove the oiler/oil port on this or the Oster 76? I broke off a tiny metal stem oiling it and it fell in. 😮😮 I know I can buy the part but don’t know how to remove it. Thanks in advance.

The only time the oilers should be messed with is when the case is broken because you'll probably have to break it to get it out. . I don't know how to get it out without breaking the case from the vent. But I only do that if the case needs to be replaced. If the case is not broken I would just not worry about it

@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 update: I used the single jaw of a small needle nosed pliers and was able to easily twist it off. I bought a new oiler for under $4, removed broken metal piece, and installed the replacement. Thanks love your channel, BTW.

Hello. Sorry for the late reply but a new clipper shouldn't need to be broken in. I recommend sending it back for warranty through a warrenty service company for oster.

Do you happen to have carbon brushes for the vintage progienic 111??
If so, maybe I can send mine in to you for maintenance?? My Father In Law gave me his and I'm not sure of the overall condition but I'm sure they need tuned up

Yes I will have brushes for it. I just don't know what ones they are until I see the old ones. They made a model 10 and 111 at the same time period.

Ace OfFades I know but they don't manufacture them any more but I keep old good brushes and I'll match them up or find a universal pair. If you looking for new ones just to buy, you'll have to call around and see if anyone has a back stock of them.
