If budget is a concern, I would definitely recommend the AMG A 35. A couple thousand more, you get the CLA 35 - with the aerodynamics package which offers you a more aggressive look. It's also slightly larger (longer) but overall same drive quality.
Manufacturers make too may models with minimal size differences between grades. All it does it add costs and complexity in manufacturing and maintenance. One of these models should not exist. Audi are just as guilty of this. Remember when MB just had the C,E and S class. Simpler times cheaper cars. Now every manufacturer want to be in every segment and sub sector.
I agree. MB came out and said a few days ago that they don't want to compete in compact car segments anymore in the future. The whole brand is just being diluted in the process, unfortunately. It's great that more people can afford an MB these days, but the brand will lose its appeal if it continues for too long.

Comments from this interviewer "you can see the exhaust tips are oval", cmon bro how you gonna grab me with these lines.

Cla35 or A35? Also does the A35 have an option for the button dial which changes modes (comfort to sport) on the steering wheel

I would chip tune it with stage 2 or 3, remove the OPF filter and make the v max around 270-290 km/h by programming it.
