Make a oddheader reviews channel, I’d sub to that, but Easter egg videos and stuff is more what this channel was built off of, it’s ODD seeing reviews here

Why do brands do these deals? It sours the viewers trust in the video creator and, at best, has a net zero impact on whether the viewers will buy the product. You've basically tricked me into clicking this video because of the channel name, and created negative sentiment towards whatever is being advertised because they're who was wearing the mask. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with midroll ads and for creators I love like Oddheader, I'll go out of my way to actually watch the ads and make sure to use a code if they have one. People should be paid for their work, that's not in question. Damn though, this is really discouraging. I watch ads in videos that provide value, but this provides none whatsoever. Hope Oddheader is getting paid well enough to offset the brand getting diluted like this... again.

i don't like getting notifications for full video ads. you should consider just doing short ad spots within videos instead, people are used to those and they don't feel as intrusive.
It has a broken timestep camera. It is tied to the physics that run at 50fps (Unity engine default) while the game runs at 60fps so every few frames you get stutter. When the camera floats over the course at the start it is completely smooth, but when the gameplay starts and the camera is tied to a physics object (the Monkey Ball) there is stutter. You can see it in your footage. It's pretty bad TBH.

Granted, this comment is much more respectful in telling him "this isn't the content I want" but the truth of the matter is, I think people should be more open minded. The easter egg videos come out a lot slower because it's a tougher subject to study after doing so many at the quality he does it at. We were getting like maybe 1-2 a month. Nobody is losing anything from this content being dropped in the meantime and its allowing more consistent money for him to make his other ambitious content. It's harmless content and I feel like this is just hivemind behavior dismissing this for being an ad under the false pretence that "paid" = disingenuous. Super Monkey Ball Bowling in the original gamecube version is one of the greatest minigames ever. We used to score around 150 in a good game - I bet my friend £50 he could never get a perfect (300 point) game. After 2 months of unemployment and relentless practice - he did it. One of the best gaming achievements I've seen, and £50 well spent
I say its fine, its take a long time for new easter egg to be discovered, as you can see for his release time schedule, least is taking 1 months, so in the mean time oddheader can still accept sponsorship he likes, which will fill the blank space while also getting his bill paid. Dont like the sponsorship? You can just skip it, its not like if oddheader accept the sponsorship the easter egg/horror egg video will get delay, cause bro still have to wait for new egg discoveries.

Oddheader, I 100% understand wanting to pivot into additional content besides easter egg stuff, and I'm nowhere near as against it as most of the people commenting, including the fact that you are doing it for a bag. I think it can simultaneously be true that you want to review stuff AND want to collect a bag, it doesn't necessarily have to be a soulless cash grab just because you are getting paid. And even though you script every video, the script on these makes people think you are bought and paid for the entire 10+ minutes, every word, even if that isn't the case and you are offering your genuine opinions throughout. On that note if you are going to address the backlash, you should do it off script. Having a video where you just tell us your new plans or struggles candidly will help everyone get on the same page. Be truthful about the money and the reasons behind it and most reasonable people will understand. Best of luck

I've seen youtubers that were paid to talk about a game and they still said the game was bad, so I believe when you say that you made the video with your own opinion, this time, because this game is related with your own content in a way. sponsors often have scripts you need to read or specific points that need to be brought up during the segment. that's why when you watch youtubers who talk about common ones like raid shadow legends, factor, square space, etc. they all say very similar things. it's part of the contract. that being said, i don't doubt he's giving his honest opinion. it's a very basic game, he's not a huge channel, and he gets nothing out of lying when he's a fan of the games because feedback improves games.

Super Monkey Ball Bowling in the original gamecube version is one of the greatest minigames ever. We used to score around 150 in a good game - I bet my friend £50 he could never get a perfect (300 point) game. After 2 months of unemployment and relentless practice - he did it. One of the best gaming achievements I've seen, and £50 well spent

Dont like the sponsorship? You can just skip it, its not like if oddheader accept the sponsorship the easter egg/horror egg video will get delay, cause bro still have to wait for new egg discoveries.

Oddheader, I 100% understand wanting to pivot into additional content besides easter egg stuff, and I'm nowhere near as against it as most of the people commenting, including the fact that you are doing it for a bag. I think it can simultaneously be true that you want to review stuff AND want to collect a bag, it doesn't necessarily have to be a soulless cash grab just because you are getting paid. And even though you script every video, the script on these makes people think you are bought and paid for the entire 10+ minutes, every word, even if that isn't the case and you are offering your genuine opinions throughout. On that note if you are going to address the backlash, you should do it off script. Having a video where you just tell us your new plans or struggles candidly will help everyone get on the same page. Be truthful about the money and the reasons behind it and most reasonable people will understand. Best of luck

sponsors often have scripts you need to read or specific points that need to be brought up during the segment. that's why when you watch youtubers who talk about common ones like raid shadow legends, factor, square space, etc. they all say very similar things. it's part of the contract. that being said, i don't doubt he's giving his honest opinion. it's a very basic game, he's not a huge channel, and he gets nothing out of lying when he's a fan of the games because feedback improves games.

Don't see the point of having a whole video that's just a glorified ad (don't care how much it's sugarcoated, it's an ad), mmm yes trick users into clicking on a notification only to find out it's an ad which makes the video already inherently dishonest, don't get me wrong I like reviews but I don't think this is the way to do it.
