Well i dont know why orchestration was used. They were not even playing the correct chords of the song or rhythm. Why must orchestra be played only with western instrument. I was even disappointed that Angelique joe allowed it.This performance and production is zero to me and they can do better. How many western word singers or musician come to africa to use african instrument or musicians to play a major part of their music ? Think about that ..African start learning how to fully own your heritage own your culture fully and respect its traditional root..Selling million copies is not a sign of fulfilment at all times. But keep your creativity alive for centuries for people to learn
Angelique Kidjo great as always, i just wished the orchestra would've played more energized and playing with tune of the song a little.. you can't have a power woman in front and just stick to the sheets.. 😉 Otherwise a solid piece of work.
@@Valois254 No, you were not the only one! This song doesn’t seem to need an orchestra! Scoring African music for strings doesn’t often work well, and this doesn’t!!!
I listen to Angelique these days and I wonder if she’s past the height of her talents. She can’t do anything great these days with her powerful voice. As for European audiences, they’ll clap for anything from Africa because they think it’s “exotic”… I know, on social media you don’t have to criticise. You should always praise 😂😂😂
La grandississme Angelique kidjo

The orchestras are just noisy and out of tune and rhythms
