The choice of song for the processional in a wedding is probably the most important. It really sets the tone of the whole ceremony and the emotion it can bring out in people is really magical when the right song is chosen.
For the wedding musician it’s so important that they’re watching this take place. We need to be able to improvise as we go, to make it longer or shorter as required, to skip into certain verses at specific points.
A Thousand Years might be one of the most requested songs I’ve had over the years, and it’s not hard to see why.
