I thought maybe I was missing something from the pattern. I read it about 200 times thinking “what am I missing?” Thank you so much for this tip and demo.
THANK YOU! Finishing up a huge oval rug and I’m not an instruction follower so much… I’ve been folding and sewing the “yarn” seam and adding batting as I go and making the rug-actually with good results. Your instructions are very helpful as I figure out where I want that taper to be positioned. VERY clear tutorial and much appreciated. 🎉
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I appreciate it. This is my third rug and I'm finally learning how to taper the end! I jimmied it the first two times. This one is going to be presentable to gift.
Isn't this an Aunties Two technique? Aunties has been using this technique for years and has four or five patterns written using batting in 2 1/2" fabric strips filed with batting. Shouldn't RJ Designs come up with her own idea?
There are only so many ways to end this. (Was this a necessary comment?) She's simply trying to communicate how to do it. I thought her explanation was fabulous. :)
@@jenniferupton3552 I don’t think this comment is aimed at Mira Stitch n Post. He’s saying that this technique and extremely similar patterns were out for sale several years in advance of this popular and secretive pattern. He does have a good point. I looked up some videos and they were posted before this pattern came along.
Thank you for sharing this, I searched so many tips and tricks for how to do this ending and no one had this! Respect!

Love your shop. You appear to be hospitable. I'll be over for a cup of coffee!
