Even I'm thinking David is nuts. Dr. Woodward said Willy had a neck wound when actually it was on his arm. One of many mistakes in their writings of this show.
At 8:31 in, The new Burke addresses the new Dr. Woodard as "Dr. Hoffman"--and just keeps on going (per instructions, presumably). With all the substitutions, even the actors are having difficulty remembering who's who!
+Kent M I caught that too. The first time Dr. Woodard mentioned Dr. Hoffman was as a specialist in blood diseases to whom he had sent a sample of Maggie Evan's blood. At the time didn't he refer to Dr. Hoffman as a man? That confused me.
+tenhirankei That sounds kind of familiar too. Actually, there are a surprising number of pronoun mistakes--no doubt due to the "one take only" directive I've read about. As I've gone further along in DS, I find I'm getting used to it. But, yes, its good to reality check once in a while,
+tenhirankei Dr Hoffman was meant to be a male Dr but the actor quit days before filming his first scenes and the actress Grayson Hall ended up taking on the role instead.
Shrinks always think they are so clever they get their knowledge from books and have used what a person says to fit it to that knowledge. Once when I was young, I had awful nightmares about my dad and this shrink asked me to tell him one of those. I chose one where my dad had a gun and wanted to shoot me and to my disgust, he said the gun was a sign of penis. When he wanted to hypnotize me, I was frantic, and I had the words no please don't let this happen going through my mind and as I was laying on this couch and he was beginning, he started to cough, and he couldn't stop so it never happened, and I never went there again:) I have always had a guardian angel who has protected me so many times that there is no other explanation. Nothing this guy says has anything to do with what is wrong but believing the boy is right is too easy:)
Sorry if I'm prying like they do in Dark Shadows, but I'm curious to know when exactly you talked to that shrink. He was clearly a Freudian - the likes of which seem impossible to find these days. I wonder when that Freudian species became extinct. It was obviously still alive when you were a kid.
I mean I think they should’ve ended Burke’s character a long time ago.. I mean after his storyarc ended against the Collins family he was never really relevant again even when Mitchell was still playing him.. That Burke/Vickie/Barnabas didn‘t even hold up for more than 15/16 episodes and was already forgotten again here..
something like that is very common sadly. Sometimes even leads to blackmail, threats and smear campaigns by the jealous actors who feel they deserve more attention. It pretty much always happens when there's an absolutely outstanding talent on a show, like here. This show would be dead and forgotten if JF had not been in it.
Poor David's problems fit so appropriately into the shrink's hypotheses
Ooh, nice - Joan Bennett doing the intro.
She's wonderful 🙂
@@narakhorouzian7472 She is.
Please don't give Sarah her phantom flute back, I'm sick to death of hearing London Bridge Is Falling Down!
😁😁😁😁
Can't stand her. Or her singing. Or her flute playing. Or that bloody song 'London Bridge.'
Even I'm thinking David is nuts.

He had also one in his neck
The new Dr Woodard's voice is like nails on a chalkboard
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😆😅😅🤣🤣🤣
black and white again!?!
If my shrink had a passing resemblance to Vlad Putin I'd be worried!
Even though I’m not that fond of new Dr. Dave I really liked his story and of him believing David

Yeah 😁😁
Piscicólogos e Psciquiatras mais erram do que acertam, em suas imaginações. Na vida real, são tal como.
why can't Burke and Vicki simply move into the house and live there until the legal stipulation expires...then purchase it???

I'm interested in the house that Kaleb owed he sounds like a paranoid man
Whatever happened to Carolyn? Haven't seen her for ages.
Psychiatrists still talk as much doo doo now, justifying their position as they can never be wrong.
They can send David to join Willie in the nuthouse
why doesn't Sarah appear to her brother Barnabus?
Could she be scared of him perhaps
She might not like to see what he has become.
I would love to be a Voice Over for Dark Shadows!!!!!
the guy that played Devlin in real life was envious of JF's popularity.
from what I've read.
They should have sent the old Burke to rehab and had him back once dried out. Nothing against the new chap but he's just not the same

Which actor? The original actor who played Burke (Mitch Ryan) or the replacement Burke, played by Anthony George?
This doctor is soooo different! They should have found an actor like the other one. I don't like this at all-
What the heck happened to the other Dr Woodard? I don't like this one 😠
I agree with Holly B on the new Dr. Woodward. The old Dr. Woodward seems like one of those old hard ass doctors
+Holly B
this little sniveling one gives me the creeps.
He was a minor character they obviously thought nobody would notice the change in actor
The actor playing the other Dr Woodard refused to work during the NABET strike in 1967, so they replaced him. This is Dr Woodard #3.
His voice is 🙉
🖤
Omg this Drs analysis is so wrong it's scary!!!!!
But it describes the vampire appeal well.
