The Angel of the Lord.
That's a figure that I didn't really know about for many years. It did kinda confused me when I first read of Him in Genesis, and how He was also acknowledged and spoke as God in the scriptures. But once it clicked that it may be the precarnal form of Jesus: 🤯
Then you start to see the plurality of God throughout the Old Testament. It's pretty mind blowing.. I never really heard preachers talk about these things that are in scripture. It seems that I have to go to Apologetics and other things to get a more in depth discussion on scriptures.

My only complaint is the repeat word at the end of each chapter which is a tad annoying and evidence of poor editing.

Read: chapter 21 is the only passage I’ve “read” because a google search told me that would allow me to indulge my self-righteous indignation. As for the rest or the meaning, TL/DR
Moses did everything he could to bring the Israelites to Canaan as soon as possible. BUT, they did not understand Moses' mission. They doubted him, complained against him and disobeyed him. Because of their faithlessness, instead of taking 21 days of crossing the Sinai desert after Moses killed the Egyptian, they ultimately had to wait 80 more years to finally enter Canaan, with only their children making it. Moses did his best, but when they complained at Kadesh-Barnea, he struck the rock twice instead of once. The rock, symbolized the messiah. That gave a condition that if the Israelites rejected the messiah, Satan could attack and kill Jesus. That ultimately happened, delaying the providence another two thousand years and all of us still under attack by Satan.
God is good, continuously SAVES us all thru Jesus, Lord and Savior. The Alpha & Omega freely gives us instructions to receive righteousness, mercy, unconditional love. KNOW THIS (2TIMOTHY3). GET READY! GET READY! GET READY! This is for real ❤.

They wandered 40 years after saying "no" to crossing into GOD's promised land. It was ultimately GOD Who most of them didnt have faith in. Big, sad lesson ... for us all.
Actially, the crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection and everything concerning JESUS was no mistake. It was ALL prophesied, Jesus told His disciples. He came to die as the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb for man's sins ... GOD's sovereign, loving plan to redeem mankind. So really those Jews and Romans did not koll Him, He voluntaroly gave Himself. "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believeth on Him* should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Please dont miss this...He died for our sens BUT not EVERYONE will have eternal life, for we must believe on Him (put all our TRUST in Him ALONE . . not religion/churchgoing, church activity or ceremonies such as baptism or taking communion/"Mass" (works), not our own "good deeds," ... it says this in Ephesians 2:8-9. By GRACE people are saved, thru FAITH alone, it is the GIFT of GOD (we dont EARN gifts by doing things/"works" for them) NOT WORKS so that no one can 'boast" (take any credit gor our salvation.
(We are voluntarily baptized AFTER SINCERELY REPENTING of our personal sinfulness and receiving Him (asking Him to be (our own personal Savior) ... It's called being "born again" which Jesus said we "must be" in John 3. Baptism is pubicly identifying with Him AFTER TRUSTING HIM FOR SALVATION, SO REPENTING (turning, with His help, our back on sin) ... Baptism it is not being born again as some religions mistakenly teach. (We must believe and obey what GOD says in His Word.) (Born once from our physical birth waters, born again spiritually by believing on Him/placing our faith in Jesus alone).
We "take communion" together with other true, born-again Believers (obedience, not to give us anything, like forgiveness or eternal life) to together remember His death/voluntary sacrifice for us ... until He comes again, as He promised.
This is the Word of GOD ... not man's ideas, (says the Bible).
Many of us call this (in the Bible...GOD's Word) the "Romans Road" to salvation:

Because the Jews rejected Jesus, that gave the condition for Satan to attack Jesus. If they had received and followed Jesus as he wanted from the beginning, he would not have died on the cross and he would have had the entire nation of Israel follow him. As I am about to relate the last days of a famous city, it seems appropriate to throw some light on its origin.

Others describe them as an Assyrian horde who, not having sufficient territory, took possession of part of Egypt, and founded cities of their own in what is called the Hebrew country, lying on the borders of Syria. Others, again, assign a very distinguished origin to the Jews, alleging that they were the Solymi, a nation celebrated in the poems of Homer, who called the city which they founded Hierosolyma after their own name.
Most writers, however, agree in stating that once a disease, which horribly disfigured the body, broke out over Egypt; that king Bocchoris, seeking a remedy, consulted the oracle of Hammon, and was bidden to cleanse his realm, and to convey into some foreign land this race detested by the gods. The people, who had been collected after diligent search, finding themselves left in a desert, sat for the most part in a stupor of grief, till one of the exiles, Moyses by name, warned them not to look for any relief from God or man, forsaken as they were of both, but to trust to themselves, taking for their heaven-sent leader that man who should first help them to be quit of their present misery. They agreed, and in utter ignorance began to advance at random. Nothing, however, distressed them so much as the scarcity of water, and they had sunk ready to perish in all directions over the plain, when a herd of wild asses was seen to retire from their pasture to a rock shaded by trees. Moyses followed them, and, guided by the appearance of a grassy spot, discovered an abundant spring of water. This furnished relief. After a continuous journey for six days, on the seventh they possessed themselves of a country, from which they expelled the inhabitants, and in which they founded a city and a temple.
Moyses, wishing to secure for the future his authority over the nation, gave them a novel form of worship, opposed to all that is practised by other men. Things sacred with us, with them have no sanctity, while they allow what with us is forbidden. In their holy place they have consecrated an image of the animal by whose guidance they found deliverance from their long and thirsty wanderings. They slay the ram, seemingly in derision of Hammon, and they sacrifice the ox, because the Egyptians worship it as Apis. They abstain from swine's flesh, in consideration of what they suffered when they were infected by the leprosy to which this animal is liable. By their frequent fasts they still bear witness to the long hunger of former days, and the Jewish bread, made without leaven, is retained as a memorial of their hurried seizure of corn. We are told that the rest of the seventh day was adopted, because this day brought with it a termination of their toils; after a while the charm of indolence beguilded them into giving up the seventh year also to inaction. But others say that it is an observance in honour of Saturn, either from the primitive elements of their faith having been transmitted from the Idaei, who are said to have shared the flight of that God, and to have founded the race, or from the circumstance that of the seven stars which rule the destinies of men Saturn moves in the highest orbit and with the mightiest power, and that many of the heavenly bodies complete their revolutions and courses in multiples of seven.
