I'm so frustrated (25 years programming in many languages, but can't find a starting point with AI - everyone else is blowing past me, and I'm not even sure what I am doing - a simple, step-by-step, detailed, with code [in a common language like python or js] and a fully working app that can be run live on my own server, preferably, and not cost me a fortune in cloud fees, api fees, doesn't seem to exist anywhere on the web. It's all one disjointed mishmash of information and opinions. I can't even find a course that goes from zero to hero in this regard. I have an idea to make a custom system that uses AI LLM to search information in a specific database (millions of text records of chemical compounds with properties, uses, safety info, and more) and produce relevant output. I'm using a fuzzy search in sql, but it could be so much better.
