Love your cards. Have been making this size cards for years. I have a granddaughter who is fascinated with cards like me. To save money I made these cards and used a regular envelope. So cute. Then to my surprise I get on utube and see all these slimline cards as a big hit. Man I should have put it on utube a long time ago. I know it's been 7 years I've been doing this Sure saves money
Thanks so much much, Chris. I love getting the most out of my paper. Especially the good stuff, but it’s all good stuff isn’t it. Thanks so much for watching.
HELLO! I just found this channel and watched you make all these cards. Loved it all. Before the end I stopped the video and tried it and boy did I have fun. I made about 20. Now I have those for my use. Thank you for showing us what to do.
Hi Debbie, Oh my goodness this is awesome. I love how you jumped right in and had so much fun. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you’ll stick around for more. 📄✂️🌈🥰💕🧸🧸
Thanks so much, Tiffany. Love your pic. Looks like the Brooklyn bridge and you just shine. 🌞 So glad you’re inspired by the video. I love things that are fast, simple and free flowing. These were a lot of fun to make. Happy crafting! 📄✂️🌈🥰💕
Thanks so much, Dee. I am glad you liked it. I have two 12x12 boxes that I need to smash. So you will definitely see more ideas and I work through my hoard. Lol. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕 Have a blessed week.
I just tried mini slimline cards a few days ago. I like them! They are different, plus people will be surprised to see a card in that size envelope. Using 6x6 paper for them adds so much color! Gotta love them! 🌼
I agree the size is so much fun. I am having a blast working with them. I do love double sided paper for card bases because it injects color effortlessly. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks so much, Mary. It was lots of fun creating these cards and they really went pretty quickly too. It always feels good to use up some paper. Then I can make room for the new. Thanks so much for watching. ✂️🥰🌈📄💕
Cute ideas. I think i spend too much time fussing and stressing over trying to match all the colors and these ideas show that you don't have to agonize over ever detail, just basically "get er done"! I like the volume you were able to turn out and how cute they came out. Also thank you for the idea of making your own ephemera using a heavyweight paper..i think i will be happier with the sturdiness of the die cuts. The other thing that helps me is the "permission" not to have to some how color all of the cut outs...my coloring always looks like a child has done it. 😮
Great job with the cards. Interesting idea to use patterned paper for a card base. It definitely saves on glue and cardstock. I'm sure that whomever gets these cards will be very happy. 💐💖🤗
Hi Noreen, I love using double sided card stock it immediately adds interest to the inside of the card and your right, it saves on layers and time. Thanks for watching.
Loving the mini slim line cards. I agree about Tuesday Morning. Last time I was there was a sad day because of the prices and lack of inventory. TFS your cards.
Hi Robin, So glad you enjoyed the cards. Yes that was my experience totally. Oh well, maybe I will save more money? It use to be hard to restrict my self. I would have to set a budget before crossing the threshold. Lol. 😎💕🌻✂️📄
Using the entire sheet of 6x6 instead of just a card front, genius...I keep a bin of diy embellishments, stamped/die cuts too, using stash instead of buying new. New subscriber.
Hi Caroline, me too. I am really going to be trying to bust my stash and Destash more this year. I have been such an extreme consumer the last five years as I got started in the hobby. I am trying really hard to break that trend and use more of what I have. I have a mantra that is helping me “love it, leave it” I can really love something, but I don’t have to buy it. Plus it will be there so I can wait and give it time. I am such a work in progress, but I do try.
These cards are so cute! I'm lucky that they closed down the Tuesday Morning in my town. I don't need anything more for a long time except boring consumables. I subscribe to a card kit of the month and that satisfies my need for "new". Thanks for sharing!
I understand that completely, Helen. You are not alone. In the last year I have really been coming to terms with my extreme consumerism in this hobby. I am by no means “healed” of it, but I am better. I am aware and that is always a good first step. Lol. I hope you will stick around because there will be lots of creating, idea sharing and stash busting going on here. 📄✂️🌈🥰💕
Thanks so much, Kim. Me too. I wasn’t sure at first when I had tried it before. Then my friend Helen at Crafty Mama Diaries did a video and her excitement reignited my interest. I have loved them every since. Thanks so much for watching
I have just started cardmaking, and this video is perfect for a beginner! The cards are so cute and easy to do but look very professional. Thank you for this inspiration. This video got you a new subscriber.
You are so welcome! Welcome to a very fun hobby. I would say, try to avoid the pitfall of buying all the things. LOL I have bought $50 worth of stuff to make a card or two before. It took me years to wise up. I certainly love this craft though and the community.
I also mass produce cards for various groups and have a stash of 6 x 6 and 12 x 12 pads that I could use this technique on. I thought I had subscribed because I've watched you so many times on Craft Roulette, and was surprised to see I hadn't. Well I have now. Thanks for the tips.
Hey Becky, Welcome to my channel. Yeah I couldn’t rationalize paying those prices for old collections. Don’t get me wrong old paper collections are my jam sometimes, but a paper pad from 2017 shouldn’t cost the same. Just my opinion. Hope you enjoy all my crafty shenanigans. I am glad you are here. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕
Very cute cards. I am definitely going to hop onto this trend. I have ordered some mini slimline envelopes. What a great way to use my 6x6 paper packs. Love it!
Hello Jantine, Hope the weather is nice in Holland. I tried mini slimline before and didn’t like them. I decided to give them one more go because I am always looking for ways to use up my 6x6 paper. Thanks so much for watching and saying Hello! Hope you have a great weekend.
***NOTE*** You don't have to cut off a 1/2" border strip of paper for a Slimline Mini Card. Just fold the 6x6" patterned cardstock in half for non-directional patterns. Cut directional patterns in half. The card will fit into an inexpensive standard 6¾ envelope [check size] that can be found anywhere including Dollar Tree. A #7 Coin Envelope is, also, the same size as the 6¾ Envie and requires no additional mailing postage for either one. TFS! I'm sharing on my FB Craft Medley group for inspiration!
Hey Peach, You are so right. At the time I made this I was trying to make slimline a that would fit in A2 envelopes. Then I moved on to making them 3x6 like you said for the 6.75 envelopes I found at the Dollar Tree. Thanks so much for sharing. I really appreciate it. Hope you have a fun weekend. 🌺🙌🥰💕
Hello Ruth, this is an awesome size for quick cards. I really enjoy making them and can turn them out pretty quick. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕 Thanks so much for watching.
Just stumbled upon your channel. I like what you did with those mini Slimline cards. I'm kicking myself for tossing the tissue from my last Paper Pumpkin. I didn't think I would like the ephemera packs until I bought a few Spellbinder box kits on a sale last Fall. I like the black and white images on the crazy-busy background paper. Lots learned from your video...just subscribed
Right! Besides sometimes I just don’t want too. Lol 😂 I am a card making construction worker. I like building more than coloring. It only took me 5 years and $$$$ to figure it out. 👷♀️ 🦺
Hello fellow Central Texan! I just found your channel looking for mini slime line cards. I heard you mention Dell Children’s Hospital and was pleasantly surprised to find a card making UA-camr semi-close to me. I live in Kyle 🤗 I subscribed and look forward to learning more.
I love these cards and the idea of using double sided paper for card bases is great. Thanks for that tip. I am so glad I found your videos and subscribed. I am looking forward to seeing what you do for Christmas cards. Have a Blessed day.
Hello Margaret, Welcome to my channel. I hope you find lots of joy, inspiration and happiness here. I am getting excited about the holidays already. It’s never happened this early before. Happy crafting 💕🌈✂️🥰📄🌸🌺❤️🧚♀️🥳🤪
Yay! What a fun place to be at the beginning of a new hobby with so much to explore. May I suggest you watch my 10 cards one Dollar Tree video that I just posted on Saturday. I give so many tips for beginners as well as fun ways source supplies from your home and low cost alternatives. I think you might enjoy it. Happy crafting and don’t worry the supplies will come. ✂️📄🥰🌈💕 Happy crafting
Don't forget to ask friends who normally throw away cards once or twice a year, to pass them on to you. I do Christmas cards that way by cutting out portions. I also do all occasion cards using the same idea. Stickers from the Dollar tree add to the fun also. Pick up scissors with a scalloped edge, a zig zag (like pinking sheers have). If you buy these at the Dollar Tree they may not stay as sharp for as long a time but you can buy a few for the cost of a pair at a craft store. If you have a computer and printer there is lots of material to copy from there as well. I hope you enjoy the crafting of cards as much as I do...I am 82 and it brings me so much joy to make them and give them away. One more thing, a good pair of little scissors (not cheap ones) with a good point on the end for "fussy cutting" is a must as is a good paper cutter.
Love all of the cards. Good idea with black and white images...I am not great at coloring yet so now I think I will get some stamps out. I think the paper collections at Tuesday morning are larger now (previous pads had 24 sheets now have 48 in them). I have still found some of the smaller pads with no price increase.
Hi Kim, So glad you found some inspiration to pull the stamps out. I always hope to inspire others to create and use what they have to make beautiful things. The Tuesday Morning thing was so crazy. They use to have a lot of 6x6 and 12x12 pads. This time they only had paper in plastic sleeves. There were about 24 sheets and they were all $14.99. There were maybe 10 paper pads and all the Ephemera had been marked up too. It use to be about $2.99 and now it is $5.99 to $7.99. It just blew my mind. I understand that cost increase, but I felt like doubling was a bit extreme. Honestly it really is a good thing for my budget and overstuffed craft room. Lol.
Hi Tania, I was not a fan at first, but I did this session and I now I love them. Give it a try if you have a bunch of 6x6 paper. Let me know if you and what you think. Happy Crafting
I have that same paper pad from Stampin' Up with the balloons and you have inspired me to take them out and play with them! I love mini slimline and I love that you used double sided paper to create your card base. Thank you for sharing your creative process. I enjoyed this!
Hey Helen, These were such a blast. By the way, you are the one who inspired me to give mini slimlines another try. I had given them one go, was frustrated and almost swore them off completely. Then I saw you playing and having so much fun and I told myself to give it another go. I am so glad I did because this such a fun card making session. Thanks for sharing your joy it is totally contagious.
Love these cards. Please don't worry about showing your card making. I love watching you make cards...it gives me so many ideas and you offer a refreshing style from other cardmakers...so create on! I am going to try to do the black and white style. I need to make some childrens get well cards too! Great video as always!
Hello, I always encourage people to use what they have. I think out most clever and creative moments come from improvising. I sometimes go back to small box of my first cards and really see how inspired I was. I also see how much I have grown. I was at the Dollar tree the other day and grabbed some supplies to make 5 or 10 cards. The video will be up on my channel next week. I hope you will come back and check it out. I would love to hear your thoughts on it if you do. It’s not earth shattering stuff, but it will be creative and fun. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕 Thanks so much for watching!
These cards are so cute!! You use to be a cake decorator, that sounds like the fun dream job!! The black and white looks very good, you're right you don't always have to color!
Thanks so much, Jamie. Cake decorating was an absolute blast it was hard work and long hours because we did about 200 birthday cakes and 50 wedding cakes a week, but man it was fun. I worked with such a fun group of people and the bakery owner was a strong, intelligent and passionate woman. I learned a lot there and if I could make the income I need I would totally do it again. Thanks for watching.
Hi Kathy, your profile picture is so awesome. Lol. Thanks so much for watching. I wish we had a scrapbook store here locally, but unfortunately we don’t. I love Stampin up too.
Love this! I am making cards with my kids to hand out to the nursing homes to cheer them up. So I appreciated watching your process. Also I agree with you Tuesday Morning's prices are sky high now. I thought the same thing when I went recently..... I was like~ What the heck TM! I can totally buy new release paper pads for the same price! =)
Hello Michelle, I love that you are crafting with children to spread joy. My card making journey began as a ministry and I still try to keep the donations going. Like you I couldn’t justify the prices for old collections. Don’t get me wrong I love paper collections regardless of their release date, but I had the same thought. I am so glad you are here. I often share mass making tips since I am often making 10+ cards at a time. Hope you enjoy all my crafty adventures. Praying you have a blessed week. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕
Hey Niki, They are so much fun and a great way to use up 6x6 paper pads. You could totally through them in with your happy mail for sweet messages. They are the perfect size for some of your embellishments. You could slap one of those bad boys on the front and call it a day. The card would be spectacular. 😉😍👯♀️🌈💕
From Ottawa in Canada I just found you today and I enjoyed your tips on using your 6 x 6 paper pads These cards were unique and you should be proud of yourself for their originality. I chuckled when you said that one of your “big box” stores had stopped being a discount store. In Canada where I live we are currently paying about $10+ more over U. S. $ for most craft items (stamps and dies) paper pads can run around $30 for 12” paper pad from Michael’s (Recollections’ brand).
Hey Heather, Happy Monday! I am so glad you were inspired. These are such a blast to play with for sure. I go back and forth with fussy cutting. I do love the swift cut of the die and I tend to be uneven in my cutting. I love the Brother scan and cut, but it feels like extra work getting it and setting it up for a card. I like to use it when I have big batches. 🥰💕🐝👯♀️ Actually, I just got an idea. I think I will stack up new stamps I get that don’t have dies. Stamp them out in batches and run them through. Then I can just add the pieces in with the stamp set and when I am ready to use it I will have some ready. Dang I am glad we had this conversation. Lol! Thanks for starting it. 🤪 Have a great week.
Bitty Penny I am glad you made this a conversation. I found a little craft shop right before lockdown. I drive the 45 min to pick up class kits once a month and the two who run the shop are my only in-person craft buddies. Can’t stay long when I visit. I was so happy to find the shop and thinking of being in crops etc. One day it will happen. I am grateful for all of the online connections I am making and you make the connection very real in your interactions. I like your Scan and Cut idea. Glad our talk brought it to your mind.
Just subscribed. This is the first video of yours that I have watched. Thank you for so many lovely tips on how to make lots of mini slimline cards at once. Good luck with the channel!

I love ur style. I subscribed. No one ever uses just the black stamped images w/o color and I think this is a fantastic idea because I really don’t like to color. I’m a fan TFS..
Hello Yolanda, I am so glad you liked that. I go back and forth with coloring, but most of all just love making fast cards. It gives me more to share. I am so glad you are here and hope that you continue to enjoy.
This is the first video I have watched of yours. I Absolutely Love the Cards. I subscribed and can't wait to see what you make next and binge watch the other videos. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Hello Elizabeth, Yay!!! Welcome to my channel. I am so glad you are here. Take a look around because there is so much more where this came from. I love connecting here in the comments section, so say Hello anytime. Happy crafting!✂️📄🌈🥰💕
there used to be a store here called craft world it closed down after a big store here called primark burnt down while getting refurbished. the streets were messes up and closed down and still are and thats like 3 or so years ago i think. anyway, i remember craftword had paper pads the cheapest was £7 and went uptn to £25 $9-34 i never bought them at that price
Adorable way to use up a paper stash and do a kind thing! BTW, I also noticed that Tuesday Morning pricing for paper pads is now more than at the craft stores!
Lovely cards! I am looking to donate as well and this was a great video to get me rolling. Thank you new subscriber too😊 looking forward to seeing more of you videos
Awesome. Welcome to my channel. I am so glad you are here. I love making and donating cards, so I hope you will enjoy my makes. Most of my designs are pretty fast, that way I can make the most of my time and share more. 🥰📄✂️💕🌈
Love it! Off to make a bunch of cards now. BTW...my Tuesday Morning is nearly void of craft supplies and what they do have is random and overpriced, so you're not alone. 😉
Yay, that’s the spirit. I hope you had lots of fun crafting. Yeah, I completely moved on. It was no longer worth the drive or the time. Happy crafting 📄✂️🌈💕🥰

Really nice I give away a lot of cards so it looks like it will save a lot of time.
Hello Ruth, this is an awesome size for quick cards. I really enjoy making them and can turn them out pretty quick. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕 Thanks so much for watching.
I really like!
Thanks 🥰💕🌈📄✂️
I need to make a bunch of adult birthday cards. Even if I do things differently, I get a lot of ideas from your videos. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks so much, Rochelle. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. I am also happy you’re here. Have a beautiful week. 🥰📄✂️💕🌈
Enjoyed! I too believe don't always have to color them! TYFS! 💖💖💖🌹🤓
Right! Besides sometimes I just don’t want too. Lol 😂 I am a card making construction worker. I like building more than coloring. It only took me 5 years and $$$$ to figure it out. 👷♀️ 🦺
LOVE these! TYFS!
My pleasure. Thanks so much for watching and encouraging me. ✂️📄🌻😎💕
I’m new to your page , just started making cards. Don’t have aot supplies but looks fun
Lol.
Wonderful ideas-love this size and your embellis are so creative and cute. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much, Terry. I am glad you liked it. I had fun putting these together and doing some fast crafting. It is always fun getting into a flow.
great job on the cards, I have not tried the mini slim line cards yet....
@@BittyPenny I'm so glad you gave them another try. They are just so adorable!
Me too. I would be missing out. Goes to show, we shouldn’t mark possibilities off our list. 😜🧸💞
Love these cards. Please don't worry about showing your card making. I love watching you make cards...it gives me so many ideas and you offer a refreshing style from other cardmakers...so create on! I am going to try to do the black and white style. I need to make some childrens get well cards too! Great video as always!
Thanks, Mary. I have plenty more card making on the way. I am glad you found inspiration here today. 🌞🤪👏
Those look quick and easy! I don't have any of those paper pads but need to get some once I have the money to buy more supplies.
Tuesday morning has raised their prices at mine and didn't have much I didn't buy anything. These cards are really cute.
I do love Stampin up
Hi Kathy, your profile picture is so awesome. Lol. Thanks so much for watching. I wish we had a scrapbook store here locally, but unfortunately we don’t. I love Stampin up too.
I love your videos.
Hi Kathleen, your sweetness and encouragement just warms my crafty little heart. Thanks so much. I am glad you are here. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕🌞
Love the cards ..Newbie for this channel. Glad I found it! Tfs
Hello Angelina, I am so glad you are here. I hope you keep saying “hello” and that you keep enjoying the channel. 🥰💕🌈✂️📄
So cute. And practical. Love it. New subscriber.
So glad you liked it and I am glad you’re here. 🥰📄✂️🌈💕
So cute!! I haven't made a slim line card yet - I'll have to try!!
Hey Niki, They are so much fun and a great way to use up 6x6 paper pads. You could totally through them in with your happy mail for sweet messages. They are the perfect size for some of your embellishments. You could slap one of those bad boys on the front and call it a day. The card would be spectacular. 😉😍👯♀️🌈💕
From Ottawa in Canada
I just found you today and I enjoyed your tips on using your 6 x 6 paper pads
These cards were unique and you should be proud of yourself for their originality.
Too bad the postage has gone so high as well or I would be your shopping partner from down here. [Canadian trapped in states.]
More inspiration from you! I want to make ephemera with the few supplies I have and my new found love of fussy cutting right after buying a big shot.
If you search on line you can find free items to fussy cut.
Just subscribed. This is the first video of yours that I have watched. Thank you for so many lovely tips on how to make lots of mini slimline cards at once. Good luck with the channel!

Thanks so much, Debbi. Welcome to my channel. I hope you find lots of joy and inspiration here.
Found you through a screenshot on Pinterest and subscribed after 2 minutes!! I’m so excited to binge♥️♥️

there used to be a store here called craft world it closed down after a big store here called primark burnt down while getting refurbished. the streets were messes up and closed down and still are and thats like 3 or so years ago i think. anyway, i remember craftword had paper pads the cheapest was £7 and went uptn to £25 $9-34 i never bought them at that price
Another awesome video! I'm learning so much from you. I love your approach and your like-mindedness of using what you have! :)
Adorable way to use up a paper stash and do a kind thing! BTW, I also noticed that Tuesday Morning pricing for paper pads is now more than at the craft stores!
Hello, E Nelson. It feels great knocking out some paper pads and making a large group of cards. I love fast crafting. 🌈💕✂️📄🤓
