I’ve attempted this pattern 4 times, I’ve followed the written pattern here while listening to host speak it out and it is not producing the cable as seen in video. This is not my first cable. Something isn’t correct it seems
I am just making this as a beginner knitter, thank you for giving nice straightforward instructions. I am putting a safety line in every 8th row just to be careful in case I make a mistake. So far it's going really well. Thank you
Thanks from New Zealand ❤! I'm in my mid 60s and going back to knitting as I find it so relaxing and calming. Last time I knitted was in my 16 to 20 years, so feel a bit rusty but your video was so nice and easy to follow. Thankyou and may God bless you my dear friend 😊❤🙏
Loved this tutorial! This was my second time attempting to do cable knitting, and tbh was a bit nervous to try it, but the directions were easy to follow and my project turned out great!
Thanku you have made this very straight forward I also wrote down the pattern as u knitted it for extra help. I'm excited to try this wish me luck and thanku for this video 🙂
@@knitandcrochetwithjoanna9676 You’re Welcome and You always have beautiful projects that we can knit right along with you👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 the tutorials are easy and you let us know if they are more detailed for row repeats.☺️❤️🌹❣️
I started mine tonight. I’m on the third group of cables but mine is only about 3inches wide. Your looks wider, which is what I was hoping for. I’m using number 7 needles with a #4 medium weight acrylic yarn. I may rip it out and use a size 8 needle. Did you block your headband before seaming it?
It won‘t change anything - you can stop at every added 4 rows to continue with the pattern. Just knit the length you want and bind off at anytime. So to follow the pattern - add 4 rows, if you want it larger another 4, maybe another 4
Hi! Unfortunately there's a mistake in the cable section of the pattern. The way it's shown in the video creates a cable in one direction but not a braid. Does anyone know how to correct the error?
Thank you for sharing how do you do the ribbing on the bottom and top of the cable headband and how many rows do you do and what are the stitch pattern for the ribbing
Hello Brenda, you don t do a extra stitch for the ribbing, repeat only the 8 the rows ...how many rows you neeyou need for your headband depend on the wool and the needles you use ... knit a long piece and see if it hugs your head
@@knitandcrochetwithjoanna9676 ok thank you for your help I will go back to the video and watch it again I’m trying to improve my knitting skills and I love your headband and going to try this pattern for a challenge
Could you please tell me the size needles you are using in US size or mm size...And could I use chunky yarn? Thank you for such clear instructions....Excellent tutorial....Pat
I think you will be able to make this in whatever yarn you like - a chunky would be great. Maybe you could swatch or use the needles recommended on the ball band?
Hey…What don’t you understand? She starts it from the beginning. Do you mean the cast on? Take Care EDIT: is it the style of knitting she does? She knits continental way.
I think you made a mistake on your cable sections. The first which is at row 3, should have P2, K3, C6B, P2 and the second cable at row 7 should be P2, C6B, K3, P2. The way you have demonstrated it, looks like all the cables are going in one direction instead of crossing over to create a braid.

I wish you had spend how to join the two ends! I'm trying a mattress stitch but i don't understand where to stick the needle to make it nice!
Great pattern! Is there anyway to get the full written instruction? TIA

What if I want to make my headband larger? Does it change everything?

I use chunky yarn and just use the needle size it recommends. They come out more or less the same.
Hello there do you have this patten written down??
I believe someone in the comments has typed it up!
