YES! Because of the type of digitizing done between 2012 and 2017, I was so tired of paying for crap embroidery. I have also used the "other country $10.00" per digitizing people too. These people NEVER test their designs. You may get a really great design the first time, but the second time it goes to crap real fast! These people call my shop at least 5 times a week and I start asking questions about how they do their digitizing and they cannot even get off their script! Thank you for showing this type of digitizing!
Lots of times I find it easier to start from scratch instead of fixing an already made design

Very good video. I really liked how you analyzed the design to try and eliminate what wasn't going to be conducive to a good stitchout.
You got it amazing, much better than the original. I agree about unnecessary to do the "blended" bits on such a small size. The hint about adding running stitch to sharpen up the points of satin stitch - great!!
And YES I have purchased design that was bulletproof.

I always learn more about the whole process than the title indicates. For instance the method for the arrowhead, and the travel line. I forget the travel line all the time.

What type of fabric do you use when you runs samples?
Eric Kevin Z generally I just use felt unless I really feel it is necessary to run on the fabric I know it will be going on. I’ve got a few years under my belt so I’m pretty good at knowing how the designs will react. I do suggest that when someone is at the learning stage they try to run samples on the intended fabric.
Yes. I purchased many designs from a company recommended to me and there are so many uncut trims/jumps and it jumps so much that the registration does not stay true to form and using the large hoop the metal clips actually pop off as the hoop jumps so much. It is so stitch intensive and does not seem to be pathed out well. I am very new to embroidery and digitizing I am tried to fix but now trying to figure out how to re-create it myself.

I have just purchased Hatch off line and found your tutorials on UA-cam just by chance which are brilliant . I wanted to ask on the small flower design did you keep the thread to a 40wt or a 60wt because it’s was so small to stitch out. Thanks Anj

I have been learning a lot watching John Deer's videos. I auto digitized a design in Hatch. It has a black thread going across the white. I couldn't find the travel on edge tool?
When referring to choices you make in digitizing so that a design stitches out well, you say “artistic merit.”
The correct phrase is “artistic license.”
