I know. I finished listening to it last night and felt a little displeased. It might have been because of the narration or, perhaps, the writing. Many of the scenarios were modified and strayed from the original material-although, I like to think of it like a friend trying their best to tell a story about some badass who once walked this earth.
I had to stop at 6:35. Couldn't do it. The words paid actor were dancing around my head. Im not sure why. Felt like I was being told this story by someone... soft.
Well it was just ok for me. The narrator was good. Proficient in his craft. Empathetic. But just not Christian for sure. I’ve never been fond of cats. I don’t trust them. Long ago my brother and I played with a stray cat and got ringworms. They cut off all my hair and I had to endure the stares of my classmates for several weeks as the salves did their work to kill the worms on my skull. Later that summer we took up archery and used to sneak out at night and hunt the strays with a flashlight. I think all the cats I’ve met since then knew that. Sensed that somehow and I’m ok with it.
At first I was like what, where’s Baskous, but after a bit the actor grew on me. Baskous’ likeness to Bukowski isn’t something that happens often. If anything this just made me appreciate the stories Baskous narrated even more but not that this was less. I wonder if the people here, even have a clue that ALL CAPS is a song by MFDOOM who got a lot of his inspiration from Bukowski.
Topnotch, although caps have a specific utility, a thing like the flavor of truffles, thus all caps may read vulgar or selfimportant ... unless you're a hockey fan, essentially the same thing. :) But seriously THANK YOU!
(: "ALL CAPS" is a single by the hip-hop duo Madvillain from their debut album Madvillainy. It’s respect towards MF DOOM’s request that you “just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man name,” being, MF DOOM. I just loved that song. Check out Cellz by MF DOOM, he is IMO the best underground hip hop artist, and he sampled Bukowski’s “Born Like This” in it. I was a huge fan of both men but never knew one of them tipped their hat towards the other. It was good.

The b&w-pics of him.. he looks like the metaphor of a god i would like to believe in. A mellow, cool guy, often humilated in life, experienced and therefore humble and kind. But still with a hint of aggression if he wants to get his anger out. And he even talks like that.
Thx for your uploads❤❤❤
Thank you, love his novels.
Same
Going to be honest, this doesn’t feel right without Christian doing the reading. He’s become the only voice in my mind.

@@laraoneal7284 Why would you hate cats? They're just small lions. Everyone likes lions.

Anti-hero, I love him for it. He just lived his life not caring and caring so much. Buk is a special guy.
Thanks ALL CAPS.

This guy is too stiff suburban white guy and the worst impressions. Too old Batman era. Holy cow robin and batman
Twice I tried listening to this. Sorry but this guy is the worst
The narrator or writer?
No he's no worst by any shot
