This isn’t Kensington, this is Bayswater and Notting Hill - W2 and W11. Kensington is on the other side of the park - SW7, and is really very different to Bayswater. Lovely photography, I’ve lived in Orme Court for over 20 years; and you walked right past my front door - it was lovely to see.
I visited Izmir and Cesme . Loved it . Turkey has great history / culture /food / weather ....and people !! P S ...No , I don't work for Turkish Tourist Board !! 👍 🇬🇧 !
I remember in the show Downton Abbey, there's a character named Andrew who says he used to work in Bayswater -- makes me wonder what the place was like back in the 1920's when the show is set!

Between Queensway and Bayswater stations there was an apartment building with a public ice skate arena in the basement. Is it still there? I'm going back to the 60's.
Lovely walk indeed but my, how the mighty have fallen in Bayswater. I used to run a boutique in Queensway back in the 80s. The swinging times for money back then. Now it has completely lost its character. Nothing but food and drinks gaffs. Banks gone. Patisserie which was next door to my place gone. Just the church, casino and Boots along with the Tube stations remaining. Even New Kam Tong has gone! I imagine that Whitely’s is no longer standing as you did not show the jewel in the once glorious Bayswater. Your mews and back street imagery was lovely to see. I once nearly bought a place behind the Bayswater road so it was nice to see what had become of it. Keep those videos coming!
Whiteleys is still here, and was still in operation with its cinema, restaurant and shops until about 2015; since then it’s been bought by developers who intend to keep the beautiful facade, but will transform it into luxury residences, akin to Knightsbridge types. It’s not called “The Whiteley.”
I'm moving to Inverness Terrace in Bayswater and wondered if it's a safe friendly neighborhood especially for a girl? your response is highly appreciated :)
The local authorities must change landscape of this area & its neighbourhood to more locals' accustomed.Police & Immigration enforcement agencies must act necessarily to any potential terrorist threat(s) & illegal foreigners within the neighborhood..
Doesn’t look like London to me. Watch in 20 years you won’t see once resemblance to anything British. Fact! Enjoy! Lol. It’s gets less British by the year. Guarantee this this a high scale area too which makes it even more scary. Not that it’s a bad thing it’s just not original British anymore. It’s immigrants multi culture. Their own culture. Most of this will be torn down, unrecognizable, and a culture and country made up of immigrants. I guess it’s racist to want a culture and country of centuries to maintain their country and pride. All of that will be destroyed and fast.

Super safe, I’ve lived in the area for years and love it. But like anywhere - but especially big cities - don’t take risks and always be vigilant ❤
