I go through the steps on how to drive a stick shift in my ranger. This started as a school demonstration speech and had all the work done for a UA-cam video.
That cleared things up for me. My dad had told me not to push the clutch in all the way when shifting because it would engage the transmission brake. I took his word for it but I didn't think it felt right so thanks for clearing it up.
This video makes me miss my 94 Ford ranger soo bad, I had it manual and that thing was so fun to drive and it was my first car but oh my God was that clutch sensitive as hell, if you rose the pedal even a little bit off the floor like 1/32 off of it it would slam it into gear
I did too, my friends use to tease me about not driving manual, but after he got to drive an automatic, he stopped teasing me about not driving manual.
Cvts have more gear range and DCTs can partly engage first by partly letting the brake up u can have all the advantages of manual transmission without doing the work.
Hopefully this is somewhat active/someone can help me. I have a Ford Ranger and am struggling. I drive sport bikes (which are sequential/one direction) but this is my first actual manual vehicle, due to this I can easily drive in first. However, when I switch to second gear my RPMs jump and I don't move. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the vehicle or it's just me. To me this seems more like I'm downshifting due to the rpm jump. I can shift to third fine so I feel like it's me, any pointers?
I’ve only drove a manual six speed for a few months before my wife had a fender bender in it. Then I learned how to drive manual semi truck which uses a double clutch, but I learned how to float or single clutch shift when necessary. Is there any differences to be aware of?
I been taught you NEVER at any time let your foot off the clutch petal at any time, always think about it like your foot is duct taped to that clutch pedal
Who needs those driver's training courses when you can just watch Anthony's Adventures??
Well done.
I know how to drive stick and most of cars that i have owned has been stick shifts, but i still watch these tutorial videos for fun.

I just got a 87 as my first
This video is the embodiment of Ford Ranger. ripped seats, standard tranny, tricked out motor, and laptop on the dash for "special" events
never look at the gas pedals when your driving or dont look at your shifter when shifting
Just got my first truck wich is a 05 ford ranger and this really helped, thanks bruh
i hope all is well, i love rangers, have you had any trani issues?
Saw a pic with a clutch and the caption read “cripple a whole generation” 😂
I get teased all the time about not driving manual

Can you stop in any gear?
Also do you shift down the gears when slowing down?
Nah a good crunch when throwing it from 5th to 6th will indicate proper slowing
dude i feel so dumb driving manual :( Im driving a 1990 ford ranger and I just cant figure out the clutch timing or i guess how to properly go forward
Ver helpfull
Throttle has been found
I'm 5'1". Will I need booster seat to reach the pedals? Just kidding.😂😂 Thnc for the D lesson
Im getting one like this with tax return .
The Wnd....😂😂😂 soo funny!!
Uhhhh ok what about stopping and starting back up on a hill and reversing

completely incorrect, you’ll burn the clutch out if you keep even a little pressure on the clutch at all times
Ha ha long legged friend 😅
no tachometer is rough
What exhaust you got. Your truck is so loud
At the time a big rust hole before the cat, but it had a flow master 40 series
