A Simple logic to consider,be it any other country apart from canada-Earning overseas and being settled in India,is the real deal, else no matter how many US or canadian dollars,or any other currency one earns, each penny will be hard to spend in the same country one earns them.In a way, advantage of having a weak currency, but yes,we still do have to pay a price.

I am Nursery Plant Farmer and Live on my farm near Mumbai, India.
When I got my PRV after a 6 year wait, I was over joyed. When my Visiting British( gorah) friend came to my farm home. I told him that I got my Canadian PRV. But he was surprisingly sad. And asked me " Its Cold out there, why you want to go there, and over at my farm Warmth is free "
I really never appreciated that warmth is free at my Palghar, Maharashtra, farm.
Then when We arrived in Canada and went to meet my wife's friend I casually showed the Photos of my farms Plant collection.
One Canadian friend said when she saw the photos, she said " I don't think you will leave your farm and come here" Somehow Her utterances came true. It's 12 years I am still in India and my family is in Canada. My is PRV is expired.
I will apply for renewal on humanitarian and Compassionate grounds.
If i live here I miss my family
If I go there I will miss being with all my plants.
I don't have that much money to make a huge green house Dome in Canada where I can keep all my plants and live there.

I am a Canadian citizen now and lived here for 10+ years. Also, lived in the US (4+ years) and UK (3 years). This video covers major issues in Canada. I like to add other factors based on my personal and other Indian colleagues and friends experiences in these countries.
Cons: Highest in Canada, then UK, and then the US. I have a PhD and Postdoc experiences in the Top #1-3 Rank universities in Canada, UK, and the US, and the work experiences are of mine and other people at these institutions.
Work opportunities: Discrimination based on the race, gender, religion (Sikhs and Muslims watch out!) and appearance (height, looks, etc.) will dictate getting a job, security, and promotion in R&D and managerial jobs. Immigrants are most to suffer from low salary, long work hours, low job security, burnout, depression, etc. The US IT sector has more opportunities as long as you can move (my spouse changed 7 jobs in 2-3 years and we had to move to different states/cities with a 1 month old baby). Other sectors like R&D are hard to get jobs but they are long-term jobs and do not have to move!
Healthcare: Health care in the US especially in big cities is best in the world but it is accessible only if you have a great insurance plan from your work. Otherwise, no one cares! Canada basic (not everything) health care is free but it takes months/years to get a doctor at the beginning, and after that they simply ignore their patients since they get paid no matter what. It is free and useless! In the UK, medical professions are more empathetic and very efficient to solve the critical health problems. Patients get discharge soon after surgeries since they don't have budget/beds/staff, etc.
Cost of living: Do not change country until the recession is over. Without Financial Credit History (must in US & Canada), renting or buying house, credit card, car rent/buy, etc. become even more expensive and new immigrants will not be able to cope.

I have seen the hardships of developed countries, and of India as well, but there is something in India which makes that place so good, and that's the same reason, why invaders through out the world came to this place to gain in some or the other way.

Lastly I want to mention about managing your own meals..
