      Please.. There is no doubt that the 701 is better in almost every performance terms. But the power is the same and that man in front doesn't objectively know how to drive.

    So after watching the first 10 seconds of this video, I was like, Oh, he's riding the 701 with the stock sprockets, dude..., switch out the front sprocket to a 15 tooth, and the 701 will blow away the mt07

    love the Huskys and I love my fully built SM610 but the 701 is twice the price of an mt07 on new/old stock and the used market. Also a different style of bike. I know this video isnt saying hey "hey which bike is better to buy for the money" but yeah, I like the 701's but when I rode one, I wasnt that impressed. I thought they were a bit bulky, heavy, and dont have that "slim MX Bike Supermoto look" even though they are called one. They actually look more like a hyper-motard to me. I tell people looking to get an SM to just find an older Aprilia SXV, MX conversion, sm610, KTM, etc.) and save the shit ton of money. I still cant believe Suzuki after 10+ years is still is selling their slow and heavy turd of a DRZ450 and havnt innovated its design or created a better performing supermoto for the market. That thing still costs like $8k-$9k brand new. Soo many better bikes at that cost its just gross. I laugh when I see 2003 DRZ450sm on the marketplace going for $4000ish. Hell, if your lucky to be in a state that allows you to convert MX bikes to street legal, thats the best way to go. I had a wr450f converted to SM before i found my mint sm610 that I sold my WR for, got way more money in the end, and then dumped that money back into the sm610 to get her at 73whp. Supermotos are for hooning around and if people want to go on long rides get a different style bike. just my 2 cents

      @megapet777 3 роки тому +1

      well 701 is more reliable supermoto than others and has most HP. So seems like one of the best supermotos for the street.

    • @d3tach3d
      @d3tach3d 3 роки тому +1

      @@megapet777 Okay so one thing you have to consider about the more HP thing is the bike is heavy for an SM. But, its all relative to the bike model, power, condition, performance, weight, how well you maintain the bike, what upgrades you have, and most importantly the price, etc.) The 701 is a $12,000 bike retail. There is a lot of factors that play into crowning a "overall pound for pound best supermoto for the street" and you really cant because again, its relative to so slew of factors for every individual, #1 being rider skill. It almost impossible to be objective over a wide spectrum of factors. But to switch gears and stay on the 701, I think its a really nice bike and its got some good stuff going for it. If I had $12k and was forced to buy a SM with all that money, id definitely buy its twin, the KTM 690 SMC. I test rode both quite a bit and the SMC was night and day for "me" and it wasnt even setup for my weight and size. I also think they SMC is a lot more aggressive looking and stylish for my taste. Any who, Ive never payed more than $4'ish for any one of my bikes and stay away from buying new bikes for alot of reasons. Mainly because I think its a waste of money. Bike tech hasnt changed that much in 30 years. Mainly just EFI, ABS, TC, and slight improvements on engine development. Id rather buy an older model bike for a 1/3 the price and have just as much enjoyment. Ive practically ridden 50+ combinations of SM's from Make, Models, some with aftermaket upgrades from 2003 to now by riding friends bikes and meet ups here in Utah. All had there pros and cons but for the most part, any SM is fun as hell. But again, its relative on alot of factors. for instance, I dont worry about things like maintenance intervals or "reliability" because Im a decent bike mechanic and can rebuild a motor in a weekend. Anyways, for sure the 701 and SMC 690 are cool bikes.

      @megapet777 3 роки тому

      @@d3tach3d Yeah you have good points. I also don't buy new bikes and the 701 is really expensive SM for sure. But If I was deciding between new 701 or ktm 450 for the street I would get 701 because I couldnt bother changing the oil every 10 hours and wouldnt want to be worrying about the piston's life. Yeah the 701 is bit heavier but also has more power. Ofc for enduro it wouldnt be even an option.

      For the price reason I think I'll be going for a new mt07 I'm pretty upset about it as I've just sold my ktm excf 350 and wanted a supermoto but the price is ridiculous. As for the new mapping rubbish my 66 plate had all that and tc control dunno why it take so long for it to come out on to the road bikes
