I love the crispiness on the outside. We get Delmonico steaks here, and I think it's essentially the same thing. They differ some but not all that much....at least not for us. I'm glad you got a good, solid meal for your 'birfday' (hehehe). Hope you have many more. I'm making salmon (pan seared) with small, red potatoes and onion (iron skillet), along with the proper seasoning and spices. First bite will be a tribute to you Mr. HH! This video made me happy. : )

The only seasoning I use on my steak is McCormick Grill Mates steak seasoning, low sodium! It is awesome! I use a little steak sauce on the side. A 1 is my favorite but Target Market Pantry is just as good as A 1 and a lot cheaper!
