Why was it divisive? I remember hearing it had the eureka seven character designer. Most people I know had their first(most only) gundam anime be ibo which seemed like a modern gundam since most gundam for so many years has been yugioh/beyblade gunpla anime

I haven't watched the show, but I cut my Gunpla teeth on a HG Gastima, and my face years later when I realized that its pilot is a buff dommy mommy. And also learning it had a high concept and esoteric plot, a not so guilty pleasure. I mean my favorite mech series still to this day is Eureka Seven and FLCL, I just love the unique rounded mech designs, I want to go back and pick up all of them. (considering they're aren't likely to get a premium refresh)

I like how after almost 3000 years Gundams are running around and they look (for the most of the time) and colors the same , even after the Dark History Gundams are still present even if in the ,,main” Gundam universe (UC-CC-RC) thousands of years passed since we saw the original Gundam (RX-78)
@@Truenofan86 I mean we still name things after knights and ancient Egyptian gods so it’s not that big of a stretch. And of course they’d still look somewhat the same, effective designs being reused throughout the ages is kinda a human trait. Interesting observation though
