There was also one where there's a Russian officer doing lance training. It was also an ad for count Pushkin and also by Richard Williams. You used to be able to find the full version of it, but now I can only find a truncated one from the Thief and the Cobbler archive, that's on a compilation of other ads. And that version was missing its intro. I'm glad there's a full version of this online. I saw a clip from it on an ad compilation video a decade ago but couldn't find a full version of it.

This is an original composition, written by the late Colin Campbell...based on a Russian melody. .
A Russian music expert may know the original that this was based on. Ashley.

This song is called “ Forever Young..Forever Free” it was written by Lee Holdridge. The sung version was only used in the recut American version of the film. Unfortunately, Universal recut the Film “ to give it a happy ending “ ..

@@ashleylazarus-cinevisionus2722 The commercial itself was for the record commissioned by Vodka in 1974-75, with the animation done by Richard Williams Studio; there was a second one commissioned, also available on UA-cam as part of a compilation of Richard Williams commercials, illustrating a montage of a cadet-in-training with the Imperial Army of Russia. The animation was directed by ex-Disney employee Art Babbitt. Regards, Samuel F.
