Beautiful setup. Don't know why but everytime I hear that quitar renditon of Auld Lang Syne, really stirs my emotions. Particularly in such a beautiful and peaceful spot. That river is beautiful. I am pretty sure I saw a nice trout rising at 1:40:35 or so and several smaller trout further down. He was taking a fly off the top. I would love to get in there with my fly rod or Tenkara rod.
I like this trip as you did. Thank you for your lovely comments, and you really have very sharp eyes (and ears :) ), I do love this version of Auld Lang Syne played by DJ Williams, slow and beautiful, perfectly matching the environment I was in, and if you noticed, there was a subtle but surprisingly beautiful bird sound by the end of this music (around 1:07:13). Yeah, this was one of several most beautiful spring camps I've ever done so far.
Welcome to my channel and thank you for your kind comment here, hope you've enjoyed my videos. Though I've paused for a while, new ones are to come soon.
Yeah, my awkwardness got officially approved by you my friend 🤣, well, by all means I'm not the expert of survival or bushcraft or whatsoever, but I'd like to share my real camping situations here with long-version videos so that viewers will have a true feeling about the process and hopefully, still enjoy it like what I did, and perhaps, finally decided to take the first step in their own wild camping. 🙂
@@aspikeofserenity exactly! We need the joy of true simplicity and it is a calming reminder of how being in nature isn’t easy; especially against the elements. We are rooting for you to keep entertaining and inspiring us as you already are. ❤️
Well, it was Tony from AB Camping who convinced me about doing real camping videos and it is, for me at least, a better way to show the process instead of heavily edited short and "wonderful" camping videos. So, yeah, credit to him ;)
Ah-ha, just found another comment you left previously, sorry again for my late response:) Yeah, I've been thinking about design my own logo but haven't figured out a good one yet, well, give me some time, and I'll show you something later.
Thanks for your comment, Iqra! Welcome to my channel and am glad that you like it. I do enjoyed my saddle shaped tarp, really is a nice pooling-free setup:)
Oh, thanks, glad that your Mom enjoyed my video and comments, and I wish her all the best. Well, the lunch my wife prepared for me varied a lot, sometimes just two hand made burgers, sometimes really luxury dishes ... not sure if my viewers would like to know more or not, since there're already many camping UA-camrs showing their foods. But if you like, I'll perhaps show some more details later on. Cheers~!
Hello my friend, welcome to my channel, glad to know you enjoyed my video here, I've been paused for a while uploading new videos, but I'll restart very soon this fall. So, feel free to come back again. Cheers!
Well, you're probably right, but I never thought this way until I saw your comment, so, thanks! Wawona 4 for me is really a versatile tent that can be used in many different ways, especially when it's combined with a nice tarp. I'll definitely use it more in my future videos. Hope you'll like it too in your outdoor experiences!
Thank you, Ronda, glad that my not-so-accurate tea ceremony provided you some satisfaction, I'll do more tea brewing for sure in my future videos, and I have a lot of types of traditional tea to share with you all. Cheers~!
Enjoyed your peaceful authentic video very much. It was ingenious how you rigged the tarp. It is often difficult to rig it so it sheds the accumulated rain. New subscriber here. Please keep it up!
Thanks for your kind comment, it was mostly a coincidence that I came up with the saddle-shaped tarp setup that day, and it's mainly due to the lack of extra poles, but I'm glad that's working perfectly. Anyway, thank you for your support, I'll definitely keep on shooting and sharing. Cheers~!
Hats off to you man. Making fun content. Your not scared to let us see the errors and watching you figure stop out as you go. You have a good vibe sir, keep up the adventures.
Thanks my friend! Really appreciate your comment, yeah, you're right, I'd rather show to the audience what really happened during my trip instead of only showing the heavily edited clips that normally seen in short (20 - 30 min) camping videos, because mine is more natural and real, and my channel is about showing "real stuff" besides serenity. It may turn some viewers off (which I'm sorry) but glad that you like it, and of course I'll continue doing so. Cheers~!
Thanks, my friend, sorry for my late response, UA-cam is famously sneaky recently to not inform new comments on a timely manner :) I'm a tea lover and surely I'll show more traditional tea ceremony in my future videos. Hope you'll like it.
@@Roots_Schatzkiste I've already given three North Face tents a go: Wawona 4, Homestead Domey 3, and Stormbreak 3. Luckily, they all held up pretty well against light to medium rainfall, and I didn't come across any problems. However, I haven't had the chance to test them out in really heavy rain and strong winds yet. So, feel comfortable to buy one for you, and perhaps stay tune, and I'll definitely be putting them through some serious tests in my future videos. Cheers~
This was a very nice and relaxing trip. The food looked really good and the traditional tea was interesting as I hadn't seen Chinese version before. You gave a good description of the taste and smell of the tea. It's been a while since I've had the Heineken NA and I also have had Becks and St pauli girl NA and like them better than Odouls or Coors NA. I've read that there are a lot of newer NA IPA's and others, maybe you can try different ones during other trips. Take care!
Oh wow, thank you John, for your kind comment! How come I missed this one before until now. Well, UA-cam just doesn't get it easy for us to reach out to comments. I've been loving traditional east Asian teas (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, etc.) for years and they're really different from western teas in terms of the brewing method, flavor and taste, the way of appreciation (lol), and even the pots and tools that need to be used. Well, I'm not a pro on tea by all means, but I do like the variety and tastes of many Asian teas, I'll definitely show more in the future videos. As for the NA, new stuff for me, I mean I've tried the old versions which were just a sloppy combination of a bunch of flavor chemicals, and that sucks, until I was told that there's new generation of near beer and they're real beer taste just without alcohol. Well, really good taste, and I've just tried out the O'Doul's and the Old Milwaukee in my new video episode, which were all good. I'll search and try those you've mentioned and I'll definitely try more in the future. Cheers, my friend!
Great video. How did the inside of the tent perform in the rain? Some reviews of the Wawona 4 said there was moisture, but others state it was dry. Thanks.
Thanks, my friend! The inside of the tent was totally dry, especially the ground sheet. As for the ceiling part, since it has a rainfly on top of the meshed inner tent, you won't feel any wet inside the tent, and the inner surface of the rainfly was dry as well, at most you'll just feel a bit damp, and that's it.
Oh wow, thanks a lot for your suggestion, I'm actually a big fan of Tony and Bruno (used to be Bruce) - AB Camping, and I've mentioned in one of my previous video that it was him inspired me to start my channel. Again, thank you very much for your suggestion, Christine, I'll try to learn a bit more from his video, and try to develop some different taste as well :)
