@R RQ when did anyone say that the renders were made by this channel. He was just complementing the renders not the creator of this video. He didn't say "YOUR renders". And I'm pretty sure every viewer is aware that this channel's creator takes footage and images from other sources. Take your "wokeness" somewhere else.
true, the first time i discovered this channel i thought it must've been a part of big media corporation. but the content is up there with the big media even better than some
Congratulations on 500K B1M! As a Sydney resident, I've enjoyed seeing the old AMP Building go up in scaffolding and being turned into this. Part of brilliant infrastructure that is going up across the city.
Meanwhile I am getting tired of glass skyscrapers, I wish there would be more variety in new constructions. I would love to see some new concrete buildings.
I think I might have seen every single video that came after that 40k subscriber benchmark. Always amazing quality. Made me more interested in Architecture.
These videos are always so well done and thoroughly entertaining. This channel needs more attention, as architecture needs more appreciation. I feel like it's taken for granted, and videos like this shed some light on the complexity, hard work that goes into these buildings.
Keep track on the Sydney Western Airport that has recently just started and the infrastructure thats getting done for this new international airport at Badgerys Creek.
We are getting a huge new arena in Tampere Finland designed by a danish architect, but I heard it’s a straight copy from an existing arena in Denmark by the same architect
It's interesting that they are redesiging and rebuilding on the old building instead of just tearing it down and starting again. With the exception of heritage buildings and unique structures I can't imagine that happens very often with bland old office buildings. Thanks for the top quality video.
What a beautiful renovation of a soulless skyscraper into a green, open, connected neighborhood fixture. Wish I would see more of that in America. We have too many 60's-90's leftovers that look even less inviting than prisons. Yes, I'm looking at you 33 Thomas Street.
Living in Toronto all my life, I’m obsessed with skyscraper construction, because in case you didn’t notice, since 2005 R. City has been undergoing the most rapid development of skyscrapers out of almost any city on earth, I’m addicted to them, and to this channel! That seems to be the way of a lot of new projects, even here in Toronto, whereby they take existing structures, strip them down to the bare bones and build them up even bigger than they were before, it’s not just practical but makes incredible economic sense, and without all the chaos of building a skyscraper from the ground up. Currently there are three skyscrapers in Toronto all over 220 m being retrofitted exactly like this building is, it’s not easy, but in the end, it adds so much to the beauty of the skyline, and I’ve always loved Sydney’s skyline, with its iconic opera house and bridge! If it wasn’t for the incredibly long flights to get there, I’d love to go visit, but I don’t think I could handle being stuck on a plane for almost an entire day!
To the best of my knowledge, the smaller AMP tower was one of Sydney's first commercial tower blocks. I remember them spruiking it in a TV ad in the 90s.
I would like to know more about the plant life , especially the tree root systems. Roots will continue to grow, and can cause damage. How is this being addressed?
Australian cities are building so many impressive structures! I’m Canadian, and I wish we had that kind of innovation in Toronto, instead of endless new residential towers.
Sydney had been giving way to some landmark developments lately and its always great to see the level of sophistication, design and good taste being reflected in our city's buildings
Amazing video I loved it! There is an unprecedented level of development occuring across Australia right now and into the future. You should look into projects in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Brisbane is currently redeveloping much of it's inner CBD and surrounding areas. Particularly the Brisbane Quarter redevelopment which once housed the old courthouse. Additionally the new Queens wharf casino which will consist of a large arc building and sky rise residential living. Currently work on the removal of sediment is nearing completion and is now one of the largest and deepest holes in the ground within a major CBD area. Videos on these projects would be incredible as it would show that Brisbane is emerging as a new world city alongside Melbourne and Sydney. Keep up the great work!
Always like to see buildings get repurposed and updated with innovative energy saving additions. Gotta say, I envy those people who'll have apartments/offices overlooking the Sydney Bay bridge and opera house. That'll be quite a sight once this project is completed. Thx for posting.
Wow! I am really interested to watch on your channel youtube. I live in Sydney and I know this construction because I am still studying the diploma of civil construction. Thank you so much for sharing us!
Love your vids man!!! Absolute quality and research put into them. As a fan of your channel I would love to see you do a video about Brisbane (my home city) and how it is evolving into Australia's newest world city. Brisbane has some massive infrastructure projects happening, including Brisbane airpots second runway, New international Cruise Terminal, New Metro and Cross River-Rail line, Major development of Queens Wharf site which includes new Casino, Outdoor Cinema and public Viewing Deck including three new skyscrapers. New entertainment centre, called Brisbane Live that will be built on top of the major train station, Roma St Station. Also the most recent redevelopment of Howard Smith Wharf, and the projected redevelopment of Eagle St precinct. If not Brisbane, some focus on some lesser known cities that aren't NY, London, Dubai, Sydney etc... would be awesome too.
What a great idea to use the remaining structure to save a lot of pollution and money :D I love these informative videos. I really like how you say "urban areas". Sounds so funny to me cause I am not a native English speaker 😂
It’s an office block not a neighbourhood. For it to be a neighbourhood it would need some residential and or schools not purely a commercial building. The building looks great though
I love how the tower is designed in a way it looks natural with the surrounding buildings yet unique in it's own right instead of planting random skyscrapers in the middle of a city that doesn't even look good together.
Great video. Overshadowing and a lack of windows is major problem in the Sydney CBD. Unlike many Asian, Middle Eastern cities, most people don't realise that many of cities buildings share common walls, sometime on all three sides and up to 15 levels high. The streets it fronts onto can be barely 20m wide. The site for the AMP tower is blessed with 3 street frontages and close to the harbour. Not far away from this site is the brilliant EY Tower. A beautiful design, that unfortunately will be swallowed up by buildings up to 100m taller than it on all sides barely 20m away.
There are some quite big construction and mega projects going on in Sydney at the moment. Maybe not the biggest in the world, but certainly not small. You should definitely do a video on Sydney’s Second Airport (currently under construction) as well as the new Sydney City underground metro line - it’s almost like Sydney’s answer to London’s Elizabeth Line
Outside design is great but inside is made to just look cool. Open design in work environment kills communication, productivity and is unpractical in generally.
Some of those renderings are so good that I thought it was done already. Then you said it will be completed in 2022... Mind Blown!
I also thought that. Amazing job by the people who did the renders.

@R RQ it really doesnt matter to be honest there are much bigger issues in this world

Wow! I walk past this building everyday and have wondered why they're tearing it down. Good to know most of it is being kept! Great video!
These videos are sooo well done. One of my favourite channels
Love your videos 👍
I’ve literally never seen a high budget tv show better than this

Living in Sydney, this is so exciting compared to those old tired concrete building. Love it!

The B1M strikes again! Amazing production!
The last video was from Africa and now this from Australia... Thanks for showing us innovative building around the world!!!
I have finally subscribed to your channel!!! Yay! Thanks for showing the love to my home city, Sydney! 😊🇦🇺❤️

Maybe the Danish can come to the rescue again with that project.
Rob P.R. Cap what a dumb comment
Sydney must love danish architects. (this tower and the opera house)
Either that or Danish architects love Sydney!
We are getting a huge new arena in Tampere Finland designed by a danish architect, but I heard it’s a straight copy from an existing arena in Denmark by the same architect
The Danes have a God given talent for this line of work, they understand the nuances and subtleties of good architecture.
Mohamed Hassan yeah, they have a lot of flat land where to practice building 😁
Yes, but there are several thousand other buildings in Sydney
What an awesome and innovative design. That’s a place you would really want to go to work and shop! Excellent video as always, thanks!
Mr. Mills,
Your videos are excellent as usual. I appreciate the efforts taken for the noticeably clearer diction. Thank you very much.
I've seen that scaffolding for a while but had no idea it was going to be so cool
Same here
Big fan of this page, content, and the narrator. Very informative and the voice is just soothing to listen to. I feel smarter and relaxed. Haha kudos!
I honestly don't believe that any UA-cam channel can match B1M in terms of overall video quality. Absolutely love it!
One of the best examples of new urban models! Green, bright city in a metropol
Great Video! Please more great videos about Sydney. THX!
Honestly how does this channel not have more views, subs, likes etc? This is some of the highest quality content I've seen.
A person could make a great vacation just touring modern buildings going up around the world.
Thank you for the video.
Bravo, B1M!
Great to see Sydney being featured, keep up the good work!

I subscribed this channel for the narrator's voice, content and back-ground score. Kudos for providing the best channel ....

Wow. Beautiful design. Those renderings look so real at spots I thought they were photos.
Won the world's best building award recently!
looks like a good one
Bro, the graphics here are insanely good. Whatever rendering software they are using, it's phenomenal!

Time for a coffee and another fantastic B1M video.

Yes it was the tallest in the sixties and people could go to the top to look at the view
I would like to know more about the plant life , especially the tree root systems. Roots will continue to grow, and can cause damage. How is this being addressed?

Another great video. This reminds me of 425 park avenue in NYC where they're using a portion of the original structure as well.
I wish someone would do this to the Plaza Tower in New Orleans. Many developers have tried to remodel and revitalize it without success.
Beautiful building. The multiple sky Antrim’s remind me of the Commerzbank building in Germany.

Haha, you’re welcome! 👍🇦🇺
You should do a video about the green spine in Melbourne
Its not looking likely at the moment, need it to commence construction first
New twin tower and first ever
Spectacular project! Hope to see this once completed..
It’s an office block not a neighbourhood. For it to be a neighbourhood it would need some residential and or schools not purely a commercial building.
The building looks great though
The tower is commercial, the low rise buildings around it are all residential.
I’m a simple guy, I see B1M and I click
Hey I’m currently there now, there is also a tram being built out the front as well
I love how the tower is designed in a way it looks natural with the surrounding buildings yet unique in it's own right instead of planting random skyscrapers in the middle of a city that doesn't even look good together.
Great as always keep it up

worked more than 4 years under this building ( food court) before construction...all food courts closed than after... Missed AMP building.
