'Blood and Stone' December Color of the Month w/

- Eeeeeee! It's Color of the Month time with @NateBrightArt!!! I always get so excited for this! This Month we chose This Little Piggy's Bloodstone... Honestly? My opinion still out on this color, but as you'll see in this twofer, I had a lot of fun with it after the first pour mixing it into other pigments to see what colors it would create. I also found out (Out of curiosity and desperation) that Golden GAC 100 makes a good wetting agent for pigments as seen in the mixing portion of this video. Recipe for this Pour: Vallejo Pearl Medium Cloud mix:
1 part Artist Loft Soft Body White acrylic (I used Multiple Whites of Different Brands) with drizzle of DecoArt Satin enamel pure white.
1 Part Vallejo Pearl medium
2 parts American Floetrol
water to thin to consistency of colors
Colors are mixed 1prt Paint to 2prts Floetrol
Safety:
As with anything always follow the manufacturer’s direction/instructions when using any product/tool
Always keep a fire extinguisher within reach when using any heat source or open flame
Always wear a respirator when working with products that have fine airborne particles and or fumes

It's beautiful I don't understand the difference between a cloud poor or regular pour all I can afford is floetrol and regular colors can't do the piggy stuff is that what affects it?
Thank you Deena🙏🥰💕 A cloud pour is all about the White. It's mixed with a little bit of decoart satin enamel white and I like to give mine a little squirt of vallejo pearl medium. You can totally use regular tube paints and Floetrol. I think I put the recipe in the description of the video but I'm not certain. Just layer a cup like you would for a straight pour putting small layers of the white in-between a few colors or use a split cup like do. I hope I explained it all ok and that you give it a try. It's one of my favorite techniques and I love the way Tiffany of @Willie B's studio does her, I hope you'll check her out too.
